Will never buy a building from them again
After having to deal with Golden Star Properties, LLC, I will never buy from Derkskin again. There buildings are over priced for the quality. I went the rent-to-own route at first because the sales lady in Beeville, TX said it would be a good idea, little did I realize the APR on the loan wouldnt put me at 76k after 5 years of renting so I decided to pay it off in full, the customer service was horrible, never did I get an invoice showing what I paid or what was due, I asked MULTIPLE times in email. I am so glad I am DONE with this company and its loan program. I had to call multiple times to have the nails on my building looked at and repaired, tech finally came out and he was pleasant.

Poorly built 12x16 building.
The building isn't 12x16 like advertised on the buy sheet it's 11"3x16 and when I ask they said it eve to eve well my building don't have eves. The roof leaked screws was put in in angles.

I still have not received my shed
I have given a down payment in May I believe and I still have not received my shed.. can u let me know what the delay is.. if not so I can look elsewhere. I really need my shed..my house is turning into a storage..and I don't like clutter .please let me know something..asap thank u for ur time I have never had this problem with u .this is my 3rd shed I have purchased with u

They will not hold the warranty
All of my windows leak contact the rep Jerry Stanford in Springhill la would not even come look at the damage from the water I have pics 10,000 and he has a new truck but won't come look just goes on about build good lol leaks what a joke

My husband bought me a greenhouse shed for Christmas. It took 10 weeks for delivery and customer service wasn’t so good. I love it though and it’s solid built. It was worth the wait
Took longer than expected and customer service was not great I had to stay on them and never got any correspondence from he company without my initiative I am pleased however with my greenhouse which is solidly built. It was worth the hassle but being in customer service myself I know that there should have been no hassle

Bad delivery. Bad building
I paid for a new building. Building delivered was obviously used. Very dirty inside and trash inside. The inside smell is awful! The delivery dropped the building and busted the bottom of the front. Driveway was messed up where he dug into it when it dropped.

Unhappy with company
My grandmother decided to get one of these building to live in. There where many things that where not told to her like delivery and set up does not include anchoring the home. The man Danny who delivered it showed up with his kids and wife to set it up. And when she asked about the anchors he told her it would be another $500 for that and had to be cash only. On top of that he over heard my mother and her talking saying they wish it could stay low so she would not have to deal with stairs and told them he does that all the time. Problem with that is now its not passing its foundation inspection and he is wanting another $700 to put it where it should have been to begin with. Contacted company and they say he has done nothing wrong. There is some shady deals going on with this place. I do not recommend them to any one.

I have pedicures this building from Dirksen they do not want to take care of their warranty ruined my hardwood floors that they knew I was going to make it to a home and they continue to give run around finally on September 1st they send somebody out to try to solve the problem did not solve the problem but they're still refusing to take care of my floors that they knew I was going to be making into a home I do believe this company has a lot to desire and holding up to customer service the lady Julie that you did without of Kentucky it's probably the most rude and disrespectful person I have dealt with when it comes to warranty issues Keith Cooper in Kansas Kansas is not very pleasant either they keep sending each other back and forth and trying to tell me to deal with this person did with this person they have a lot to desire and getting problem solved this should not happen to anyone getting problem solved

Trim around the door is breaking apart
I ordered a building, and it arrived after 6 weeks. 1 week or so after delivery I went to get my riding mower out and the door was stuck shut. The rain has swelled the wood, and now I have to pull very hard to get it to open. The wood trim around the door is starting to chip off. Thus is leaving exposed raw wood to soak up moisture when it rains. I have called and complained, but I get no service. This company sucks. I

They ripped me off.
They said the set up was included in on the purchase price, but they didn't say anything about leveling the building. They were going to leave the building leaning on a steep slope without leveling it. The told me at the last minute that I would have to have 48 cinder blocks. That was minutes before they delivered the buildings. They made me pay for the blocks. and re refuse

Building smaller than advertised
Ordered a 12x26 Lofted Cabin. All my paper work, my print out showing the design and layout, everything shows it's 12x26. It showed up this week and it's 11' 4"!!!! Thats a huge difference when you already premade cabinets!!!! All they would say is, it's on your paperwork. Nope, sure isn't. Then they told me the dealer told me, nope, sure didn't. Then they said if I had ordered a brochure from them I would have known. So this isn't their fault.

10 weeks after build order hit their shop and my building hasn't even been started!
Okay, I know there's a pandemic going on and things have slowed down, but Derksen has evidently come to a complete STOP. That is, they have stopped building, but they will happily take your order, and in my case my money, and tell you a bunch of lies and later on, excuses, about why you haven't received your building. Want to cancel your order? Guess what? There's a cancellation fee clause in the contract. Wow, they can not deliver and still keep some of your money!!!! Are their buildings as good as they claim? I don't know. AFTER WEEKS OF WAITING, DERKSEN HASN'T EVEN STARTED BUILDING MINE!!!!

Building buying it is not suitable to even entree
repo building but we have the scam for Mr B's Conroe Texas the building we have every piece of wood that holds it up the frame wise it's splintering down the middle of the wood it's not the wood that y'all guarantee and stand by that every building y'all have is supposed to be built by this is the cheapest wood I've ever seen the beams in the trust are splitting down the middle each piece of wood that they built for the frame themselves when they built this building has five to six nails in it not expect to look at it his opinion was that he went in to pass it for any minute it could collapse for the water splitting everywhere that holds the building up the bright knowledge in his opinion is this is not the word that y'all stand by and say y'all build your buildings with but also that it's the worst building he's seen yet come from your house company and he'd be worried that he claps on us any minute

Ordered shed 3/23 took half out of checking account. Finally delivered 6/1 with damaged ROOF and driver didn't leave until he knew they took out the second half out of my account with the promise someone would fix the damage. It is now 7/19 and no one has fixed the damage. It has leaked in on the loft now. Funny how fast they get paid but don't follow though on there part. The cost isn’t worth it.
The workmanship of who ever did my building was extremely lazy or just careless the hole for my door was cut to big... all you gotta do is push on door and it opens. The loft has screws that would cut my head (screws used were way to long for the job) my porch looks horrible the post are tacky the way they are placed Im very disappointed for my building especially at the price being paid.

Proceed Cautiously
Distributor apparently sold several buildings and placed on rental property without having the landowner's prior approval or written authorization and the subsequent rent-to-own company failed to obtain it either which led to criminal trespass, property damage and unnecessary litigation. Company basically passed the buck saying they would have never agreed or allowed this but essentially could not control what distributors, rent-to-own or delivery people did although they do offer and encourage distributors to use a standard type form they provide to obtain land owner approval to help prevent these type situations. A company rep did initially follow-up apologizing for the situation and said the owner / president would want to be aware of the situation and would call back in a few days when he returned from out-of-state travel. However, never he never called. Seemed like a reputable company but they need to be more cautious in selecting their distributors and financing / rent-to-own partners. Had the distributor, delivery guys and subsequent rent-to-own place obtained prior land owner approval and accepted responsibility for property damage they caused an entire fiasco including litigation costs could have been avoided.
