Fraud

I went in for a night guard and they did a terrible job. I still paid the $490. A year later we get another bill. I go online to pay it and it claims we owe $2,153. Crazy. For what? I called the number on their company profile and its disconnected. I call the office I went to and they are so rude. Cant help me. Terrible company. Dont go there.

Original review Jul 11, 2022
I have used the website's contact form 6 times, called my local office 3 times, and what they claimed was the 'corporate' number and left a detailed message - all since 3/25/2022 and have NEVER received a return call or response. I overpaid on two different visits, have my EOBs in hand, and they WILL. NOT. RESPOND. It's embarrassing that a dental practice will not refund an overpayment - yet they haven't taken the very basic step of contacting me after repeated (and so far) polite requests. Now I'm angry. It's a shame, because the actual dentist - Dr. Luna - is fantastic. But the rest of the company is shockingly unprofessional. I'm at the point where I believe the lack of communication is deliberate. Supposedly, they were requesting the EOBs from the insurance company (LOCAL to this office, btw) although I offered to fax or even drop off a copy of the ones I have sitting in front of me. In black and white, I overpaid $87.07 on a visit January 22, 2022 and overpaid $136 on 3/5/2022. I want my money back. And this is on top of the hygiene theater they were practicing, charging each patient $10 each visit for "PPE". As though they didn't already wear it.

Overcharged, repeatedly - cannot get anyone at DentalWorks to care

I'm so angry. I have used the DentalWorks website contact form 6 times - no response. There is no corporate office billing phone number on their website whatsoever...red flag. Called the local office, said I'd used the contact form repeatedly and she immediately said "well the website's been down.". LIAR. The website was not down, otherwise I'd have been unable to use the contact form. Kind of a snotty tone, btw. I told her I'd been overcharged, comparing my insurance company's Explanation of Benefits to what I was told to pay at the time of service. She looked at my account, and said she saw a credit balance of approx. $3.00. NO, it's nearly $200.00. When I told her I was looking at my EOBs, she said "well I'll have to call your insurance company and get copies". I offered to send her mine, but she did not want them. She said she'd call me back when she had them, and looked over my situation. That was 3 weeks ago. So I called again, on Friday 6/24. Different girl answered, looked up my account, and saw the same $3.00 'overpayment'. She asked if that was what I was trying to get back. NO, and aren't there notes on my account to indicate that EOBs had been ordered (and presumably received?) but no. Then she said she'd have her office manager call me. Which has not happened yet. Next stop - the local newspaper or NewsChannel 5 - I haven't decided. The DENTIST, Dr. Luna, is fantastic. It's the staff that won't do their jobs that are *** me off. And the lack of a centralized billing office to call.

Unsatisfied with dental work

Hi, I chipped my tooth on Monday, March 28th and went into Dental Works on Wendover in Greensboro NC on the following day, Tuesday March 29th to get my tooth fixed. Upon the doctor examining my tooth, he was not very informative on the process of a crown and had a bad attitude with me the entire time of my visit. I was trying to ask questions regarding the process of a crown and he just kept stating "do you not understand me" and I did understand but I had questions of my own to which he did not have the patience to answer. The doctor walked out of the room and returned with a referral to another office to complete the crown on my tooth. I took it as he did not want to operate on me. I insisted on at least getting a filling on the tooth for the time being until I could go see another office for a crown. He completed the filling in a matter of minutes. He left me with a gap between my two front teeth which I have never had after having 3 years of braces. He left one side longer than the other and "gloated" about how "amazing" his work was with the dental assistants. I was charged $515 as I do not have insurance and paid it with my CareCredit card. However, the tooth chipped the very next morning, Wednesday 3/30, not even lasting me a whole 24 hours. After calling and talking with the office manager, I was only offered to come back in and have him fix it again- no option to do the crown either. They did not indicate if I would of had to pay but I assume they would of charged me for something for his unsatisfactory work. I stated that I did not want to come back in for him to fix it as I was unhappy with his work and they stated "that is all we can do". I also indicated that the office they referred me to was not accepting new clients at this time and was left with looking on my own for another dental office to help me with this matter. I would like to be refunded my $515 that I paid for this half done job that I received since the matter was not resolved. I also stated that I would not be returning to this office or any DentalWorks office as I have had many unsatisfactory dental work on my teeth from DentalWorks. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Over charged

I wanted implants. We wielded up a plan and they we agreed to a price. Now they want another $1211.00!! Sending me to credit agency I suppose. But I will take them to small claims and win. I have a780 credit rate and want to keep it. I won't be intimidated. The dentist is actually wonderful. What a shame

Worst company

This is the worst company to deal. Please seek another location. I overlooked what people were saying about the billing issue but they did me the exact same way. My insurance company tried to contact them twice and they never answered nor called them back. Now this bill is in collections. I have been trying to get this resolved for about a year now.

OVER CHARGED

on 9/29/2021 I went to dentist because I had a tooth ache, they said I need to have the tooth pulled and I need to spend 6, 000 to get two implants and a bridge.I told them no, I cant afford that, the billing lady in office said it was a package deal.I said im am sorry, I just cant afford that price.dont do anything, just pull the tooth and I will decide later after everything heals. They charged me 1882.00 for pulling the tooth. She said it included 300.00 dollars for a bone graff and stitches. on 10/06 2021 I went back and they pulled another tooth and stitched it up the same as the one on 9/29/2021 and charged me 190.00 both times they pulled a tooth and both times they stitched it up, but the first tooth cost me 1882.00 and the second tooth cost me 190.00 and the only difference was the second tooth had a bone graff, which was 300.00 dollars. so the most I should have paid for first tooth was 190.00 + 300.00 for bone graff for a total of 490.00 dollars, all xrays and office visit was paid by my insurance 1882.00 -490.00 = 1392.00 I was over charged 1392.00 dollars They wouldnt give me a copy of the costs, just a receipt for paying the bill DENTALWORKS 5555 YOUNGSTOWN WARREN ROAD NILES OHIO 44446 3**-**2-0808

Billing mistake

I was disconnected. I got several ads and never talking to anyone making me even more dissatisfied. I want a phone call back to resolve this issue.

Billing and service issue

Billing: First, they have the worst billing practices in the world. I have a family of 5 that was on my insurance. One of my dependents was removed from insurance because of age, and her billing was to be picked up by insurance in her name. Dental works continued to try to bill my insurance for her work instead of her insurance, mind you we provided info for her insurance several times that was never corrected. 2 years later, my daughter is still receiving a bill that should have been turned into her insurance. Next issue: My family has been going to dental works when it was originally in the sears locations. Thousands of dollars they have received from my family in dental services and i go to the dentist for a routine cleaning, and they tell me i have an outstanding balance approx. 300.00 and that it has to be paid before i can be seen for my appt. Now, i have taken off of work early for this appt. Confirmed it that morning, and no one has informed me of this balance that i have. This location in Tinley Park, Illinois. Should be shut down and all staff need to be replaced. I told the lady i would pay as soon as i find out about the balance ,because of course , there were no bills sent to me on the balances she was referring to and that i need to check with my insurance. I really doubt it was my insurance error, i almost certain it was their billing department. So because this has been the worst experience i have had, i told the lady they have lost a good family, and we will be finding another dental office to give my money to. You would think she would try and keep us but because they are so unprofessional she had nothing to say, so all of my family of 5 will be leaving this office. Oh, and all the appt. that we had that was cancelled because they had no hygienist available. No call to inform you before you arrive. If this is how they are going to continue to run that office , cooperate need to really step in. I am sure that office will be closed soon. Do not, I repeat do not, waste your time with this dental office! later we are still receiving a bill that was supposed to be billed to i surance.

Incorrect Billing

In 2019 I had mistakenly overpaid by 750 dollars, no big deal right? Wrong, The manager at your location in Grove City left and this started my major issues. The new person outright refused to refund me and I just decided to move on as a hard lesson learned. I now, in 2021 am getting a bill of 782.55, oh and you guessed itmy 750 credit NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. I am absolutely appalled at your business and have all the back up I need. Including the dispute I had to make with my dental insurance as your company tried to double bill my insurance.

WRONGFUL BILLING

In late 2019 I was a patient of yours for a brief while. I do not remember why (probably due to your insane pricing), but at one point I had cancelled an appointment. Since then and for the past 2 years, I have been getting billing letters in the mail! It appears you have charged me for that cancelled appointment. Getting these letters every other week is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. I do not owe you anything! I had cancelled the appointment ahead, hence I don't need to pay for it. Please fix this in your records. I do not want to get these letter ever again!!! Thank you.
