Still waiting for refund after 6 weeks

I first picked the basic plan. Then after considering my options I chose to upgrade to the premium plan. It was less than 1 hour when I called back and changed the plan. I paid for first 2 months of both plans and was told that I would receive my refund for the first plan in 7-10 days. Well it's coming up on 6 weeks since then and still no refund after 2 additional calls! Now I see that most dentist don't like to deal with DD because of their poor payment record!

Can't log in to update my payment method

Need help changing payment method if you want to get paid next month. Ive tried forgot username and forgot password. Neither have been successful.

Claims Resolution

CooI have been dealing with a Delta Dental Ortho claim for my son now for almost a year. They have been giving me sideways advice for the longest time and I thought we were finally done and once again, they screwed up on guidance and are still sitting on my claim with 3500 owing to me. Honestly the worst company to deal with and the slowest at claims resolution.

Not providing benefits as promised

I have been a customer since Sept. where I bought the policy online and said I had continuous coverage. I then find out I have to wait to receive benefits because they processed me as not having continues coverage. I spoke to customer service who filed a grievance and said I had to wait 30 days! WTF!!! I then said we need to expedite because I am not getting what I am paying for. They transfer me to a different department and the woman has an attitude saying she will do me a favor and forward email with proof of continuous coverage but it's not her job. I call back and nothing has been done and I'm being told I have to wait 30 days for them to process this THIS IS FRAUD PURE AND SIMPLE. What I paid for which is full benefits they are not providing I'm talking class action lawsuit situation here. Another sketchy dental insurance company. It's disgusting!

Screw up by Delta dental

I canceled my coverage in July as it was too difficult finding someone that would accept my plan. I called Delta Dental to cancel & was told they would be issuing me a refund. I did receive a billing statement saying I was owed $146.59 dated 7/27/22 but there was no refund. A week ago I called again & was told that there had been a processing error . When I asked how it was going to be fixed, I was told I needed to appeal. I said I was less than happy that an error by Delta Dental was now up to me to fix & asked to speak with a supervisor. The agent returned saying there was no one available but a manager would call me in 24 - 48 hours. A week later no one has called me, I am not happy with the service or lack thereof. My enrollee number is 121076****01 & the invoice number is 497848****52 dated 7/27/22.

Cancellation hassle

I decided to cancel because the monthly cost was not worth it. I tried to contact Delta on 6/30, the end of a billing period, in order to do this. The website will not allow a cancellation request. I called the contact number and reached a representative who, after taking my info, told me she could not execute my request but had to transfer me (to a sales office, it turned out). I asked her to ensure I reached a human voice, not a recording. Sure enough, it was a recording that I listened to for more than 20 minutes wait time. Finally I had to leave the call. I was able to reach the sales office the next morning, but by then it was July 1 and I was on the hook for another month's bill. Please know how difficult Delta makes it to disengage from coverage.

Company ignores complaints

My dentist stopped taking Delta Dental but sent the forms in for me after my last cleaning. Under the plan, we are entitled to two cleanings per year. My cleaning was $165, and they sent me $134.41. They owe me $30.59. I know it's not a big deal, but they should honor their commitments. I called them 2x and was told that I was correct and they would handle it. Nothing. I even sent an email which was also ignored, but their bills are on time every month.

Another unhappy subscriber

My internet contract ( don't have anything in writing because they have nothing) clearly states that a root canal is covered 50%. Forget it !!!!!!!!! I went to arbitratrion and was told that my contract doesn't cover root canals. Now paying $1200.00. This contract is ONLY good for cleanings. Find another company !!!!!

Complaint

Paid $57 a month for this garbage insurance, and it barely covered any of my dental costs. I went into the dentist's office earlier this year to get an X-ray, oral cancer screening (a little color coded mouth swab), and a teeth cleaning. This plan (the highest level PPO offered by Covered California) left me with a surprise $100 bill afterwards. WHY THE *** should I pay $57 a month and have ANY out-of-pocket expenses left over!?!? I canceled recently and haven't looked back. Good riddance!!!!!

Poor service

Multiple instances of not paying claims they always seem to find a loophole when they dont even pay back the premiums that i pay yearly. Internet sites go doDont wn frequently so you cant even check on claim status

Wont pay bill

we have dental for many years and rarely used. went to dentist this year and had to pay entire cost because delta said we had no coverage. after many phone calls delta said it was paper mistake. i was never reimbursed. 2nd dental visit cost 1410.00 for root canal. that was in april. its now middle sept and they havent paid. I had to once again pay rntire bill out of pocket. horrible insurance co.

Dentists Will Not Perfporm work/honor contracted rates

I have had issues with the Delta Dental in that the Dentists on the provider lists will either do a "bait and switch" or not honor the contracted rates or refuse to do the work at all. I have been to multiple dentists on the plan only to be brushed off and told that they are no longer taking Delta Dental or that that they are not getting paid enough if at all, etc. This is not fair to patient. fee

Absolutely horrible

Made 1 st appt. showed up got checked out and given a game plan. Told I needed 50 percent down. Gave the gal 500.00 cash and said would bring more the following day when I come in for an extraction.. the next day paid 10,000. And got the tooth pulled. Few days later they call to say they cant do anything for me.. when clarifying how much to be returned they claim I never paid the 500 cash and will return 9000.00 1500 for an extraction plus Im out the taxes on withdrawing the balance from 401. Called corporate. Was told theyd get back to me in 24 hrs.. hasnt happened
