Onan generator repair
Changed my onan microquiet 4000 computer after it stopped working one day and now it won't send any codes

Poor workmanship.
Purchased a 2.5 HGJBB $3900. The generator was purchased 26 months ago and has never been outside. It has less than 30 minutes run time. Went to start it and no go. Ends up needing a ignition coil and a lp regulator. What kind of workmanship is Onan producing? $1500 later and I'm up and run again. Warranty wouldn't cover it. *** poor.

Terrible customer service/product
I'm a mobile groomer. I bought a van in April 2020 with a new generator. The warranty is 2 years or 2000 hours. At 1 year 10 months and 2147 hours the motor quit. After much back and forth Cummins gave me 2 options. I could pay for all of it or they would pay 1/2 but I would have to forfeit the warranty on the new one. I thought what are the odds and had them cover half. It still cost me $2500. Exactly one year to the week and 1300 hours the new motor failed. True to their word they won't do anything and I am out $4000. Obviously they know their product better than I do. I could have gotten a new one for what I have spent on motors in the last year. These generators are too expensive to only last a year.

I been trying to get my invoice so they can order my parts but no one will return my call or even try to help me

Generator won't start
Yes i bought this generator brand new from campers world, it wouldn't run I took it to cummins in indianapolis in and they fixed the remote start and put oil in it, I've had it almost a year and tried using it this weekend and it will not start, and it didn't come with the wheels axle, charger or any of the accessories, I'm not happy to pay 1200.00 for a generator that will not run and I have never been able to use

Inferior parts
Onan gen set in my toy hauler has 164 hours run time and Im on my 3rd carb. Toy hauler has been serviced properly and always has fresh gas. Of coarse they blame me. They have all the excuses down pat.

Inop brand new unit generator
Called to see if they could help me we checked code and it was 36 a generic code but said its got to goto a dealer for repair . Brand new Rv brand new gen. So had to cancel are trip and now wait a month for an appt to look at gen . I asked if maybe they had a mobile service but that was a no as well .

Troubleshooting
Talked to the cummins tech and we chatted for about 20 mins. he could not help me with the codes. I told him what I had done already and he gave me more to do but it still did not fix the problem. The codes on the Onan generator are useless and the system is too touchy. codes were 3 primary and 36 secondary which could be 29 possibles . Whats the sense of their coding then if you have to change everyhthing to finally figure out what it is? Crap product.D

My generator is a piece of junk.
Took my generator in after 25 hours of service. Was told I had an oil leak. Have had several oil leaks since then, plus numerous other problems that can't be fixed due to lack of parts.

Missing key fob
Onan customer service has dropped the ball on me. I purchased the P9500df for size , duel fuel, and most of all the REMOTE START KEY FOB. It was missing in the package I received with the generator. After repeated calls to customer service, I have been outright ignored. I am almost ready to sell it and purchase a different brand. I can only imagine what customer service will be like if something bad goes wrong.
