Frustrating beyond belief

Counterforce has the worst customer service - trying to reach them by phone (only option I can see) regarding invoicing is an impossible task. On hold forever, someone picks up then hangs up or I get disconnected. Or I get a voicemail with one word, an indistinguishable name. This happens again and again and again. If I could give them negative five stars I would.

Alarm system

I vacated my home in August of 2022.It was sold.I notified counterforce by phone while my agent was there changing battery ,he gave me a number to call.My understanding was it would be taken care of.Then I noticed I had been paying it all along even though I thought it was cancelled.I am informing you that is finished.I am not paying anymore money to you people.You can consider the monies you have gotten payed in full for a service not in use.I am a seventy seven year old widow on a fixed income who had to sell her home because of cost of living .You can put me in credit bureau it doesnt matter to me.Thats it.The only reason I went with you was because my agent transferred to your company.I will never recommend you to anyone.

Counterforce is a terrible company that's primary service seems to be relentlessly sending bills.

We never signed up to use counterforce. We had signed up with a local company that was great! I believe they were bought out or sold to Counterforce. This company is not great. zero service, zero communication outside of relentlessly sending bills. We've been trying to cancel for years, yes 'YEARS'! it has cost us thousands of dollars that we do not have. This is a terrible company, please do not ever use them if you can help it.

Horrible company and the worst customer service ever

Been trying to deal with an issue with my billing for 4 months now. I keep getting passed to Smart4u, Chubb, Counterforce and around I ago again &;;;;;;;; again time after time. So hard to get a hold of anyone on the phone, finally when you do they just pass you around till the phone hangs up. Only words you get from them on the phone is try emailing. A) what a horrible way to deal with your customers by email only and not by phone. So been emailing them for 4 months now(, if your lucky they will respond within 3 weeks B) what horrible customer service that they can't respond back in a day or 2. Then when you finally hear from them its a 1 line question back to me. Like are you serious, after 3 weeks of waiting for an answer get a question. In 4 months heard from them 4 times and they haven't even dealt with my issue. They don't even try in the emails. Be nice to talk to someone in person and get the issue dealt with over a quick phone call. C) so shady that there is 3 companies, they just passed you around. In the past i've gotten alarm notifications from all 3 companies, makes no sense. STAY AWAY, don't deal with Smart4u, Chubb or Counterforce as they are all under the same umbrella! TOTAL SCAMMERS!

Lack of service and fraudulent billing

I was a customer with counterforce for several years. When I noticed that my home security system wasnt working I notified customer service and after much run around and delay finally got to the bottom of my problem. It seemed that my service had been canceled (not by me) and no one notified me, the billing nightmare that ensued was horrendous. Everything was resolved and my dealings with them over, or so I thought. Today almost one year later I received a notice in the mail that counterforce has put me into a collection agency for $33.32! I have never received an invoice or notice of where or for what this $33.32 is for. I will gladly pay this just to get this sham of a company away from me! To say Im angry doesnt even begin to describe how I feel but as I stated if all it takes is $33.32 to rid myself of this joke then so be it. R Bratley

Terrible customer service

Counterforce has the absolute worst customer service and I totally agree with Google reviews rating them 1/10. A problem occurred with my billing not account of me but because of their error. They charged me an additional charge even though the error was there's.. I have probably spoken with someone at Counterforce 7-8 times to update my paying information to no avail. I them receive an email with an extension but the number I was given you are not allowed input the extension. They have wasted HOURS of my time and then the wonder why I am upset.

DO NOT Entertain this company

The sales team is good to sell you the product and then starts the trouble. Coordination with Installer, monitoring system, contract with counter force TOO many people you have to deal and the end result TOTAL Frustration as every one toss you from one to other. They treat customers like beggars. Yes beggars. Only person who will be available is collection for payments. ZERO service when you need them. NOT A RELIABLE TEAM.

Paid for Service I did not Recieved

Counterforce is a scam!!!! I was forced to pay for service I did not received and had a contract for. When I told them that I have been charged for services not provided they told me yes because you changed your phone service from Bell hence you will not be getting service and have to pay till the contract end date of March 2019. I made a stop payment and they went to collection. The customer service rep. was extremely rude. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS AND TELL ALL THE PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS TO NOT FALL PRAY TO THESE FRAUDSTERS>>>>>>

Scammers nothing else

I had a contract with CHHUB and after 3 years I had my contract cancelled. I paid whatever I owed but after more than one year of cancellation I received a bill in mail for 129.70 dollars. After many arguments I paid the bill to kill the issue. I was told this was my last bill but now I received 3 different bills from a collection agency comprising 88.10 dollars each. Is there anybody in canada who can save public from these scammers.

Shouldn not be in business

Do do touch Counterforce with a ten foot pole. Deceptive pricing & horrible customer service. Recieved a notice from collection about a bill claiming I didn't pay for two months back in 2018. Cancel all dealing with them ASAP if you haven't already.

My experience was a FREAKIN NIGHTMARE

My local Edmonton rep sucks *** In 6 yrs that over privileged owner did NOT ANSWER any calls. My system was at 50% ,40% of the time. Nice... considering it's a SECURITY SYSTEM!!!! I cancelled my account,(& this was the ONCE & ONLY time this *** returned a call) & now I'm in Collections for $550.00 . What an *** I paid in full for a half *** system & now i have to pay for no *** system.

Customer service

I had service with Counterforce for 6 years but I when needed service I was told to contact Pyramid Security who is not even in my area. My system was not working and after calling Pyramid Security several times, the service person never called back. I was told he was going thru some personal issues. There was no one else to fix my problem. I ultimately cancelled as I had no choice. Recenty I have called them several times to ask how to stop my alarm from beeping. They again referred me to Pyramid and I have left messages again with no response. Counterforce is the worse company I have ever dealt with. They are only concerned with collecting their monthy fee and do not care about their customers. D. Giorgi

Received a random bill after 1 years of no service

We randomly Received a random bill after 1.5 years of no service at all with them. We squared up and they took our payment and cancelled over year ago... but nothing has happened since and all of a sudden we get letter from EOS collections saying that we have 30 days to pay or it will report to the credit bureau. Counterforce is a horrible company and no one accepts my calls to fix this...and yet they can send this off for collections. Terrible company to work with

Horrible Communication, Customer Relations, Inaccurate Billing

What does it take for someone to return one of my many, many calls? I want to speak to a manager/owner or someone with some good customer relations skills regarding your billing mistake. I have tried calling many many times during your office hours and wait on hold for 20 mins plus on both the accounts receivable line, and the supposed Customer Relations line. I have left several messages after waiting on hold to only get a voicemail with NO returned calls. What a horrible way to run a business.

Try to rip me off

I had been having trouble with the system working right. They came out a few times. On the last time the guy fixed something and left. The next day I went to my garage and the door sensor was saying its not ready to arm. Called them back and they said it must be a bad sensor so they wanted to charge me to come out. I told him there was a guy here yesterday and he must have done something. Would not listen so I hung up. Couple hours later another alarm company showed up at my door. Told that guy what had happened. He offered right away to take a look. He opened the panel and there was a wire hanging out. He hooked it up and said to see if that was good. It was. Signed up with them right there and they installed cameras. Now I got a letter from counterfarce (their new name) saying they want 250 dollars for the rest of my contract. Try to rip me for crap work and want money?? I think not... Stay away from this company......
