Costco refuses drug discount cards for cash purchases if u have insurance on file

If you have insurance on file, Costco refuses to allow a GoodRX card even if you tell them you are making a cash purchase and not to bill insurance. This is a way Costco steals from customers. Go to another pharmacy like Amazon or costplusdrugs.com.

Worst customer service

The guy that answered the phone was a nasty *** I'm switching to Amazon pharmacy, it's a dollar more but they deliver so no gas!!! So I'll save and won't have to deal with *** anymore.

Awful service and even worse service recovery

I used the Costco price compare software which indicated my copay would be $13.80 rather than the $30. I pay at my local (not Costco) pharmacy. I set up an account with Costco, ordered my prescription on 7/1 for USPS delivery. On 7/4 I received an email that said that my order was shipped and the copay is $30. On 7/5 I received an email that my prescription was shipped on 7/5. On 7/6 I checked the order status - delivery will not be until 7/11 (my old pharmacy was typically 2 -3 business days via USPS). I called Costco pharmacy spoke to Jonathan who basically said that there was nothing he could do. He said the order had shipped on 7/1 - I told him the email said 7/5. I asked if he would arrange for me to pick up a 5 day supply at my local Costco (I had picked USPS because parking at my local Costco is terrible). Jonathan said I would need to make that arrangement on my own. I encouraged him to return to Costco customer service training and to review the chapter on customer empathy. This is my last order for Costco pharmacy.

Warning-unreliable MAILING Pharmacy service

UNRELIABLE SERVICE! THE STORY: My 87 year old mother has been using the local Costco warehouse pharmacy for years and is very happy with them but she is having mobility issues and is recovering from COVID. I registered her for the online pharmacy to have her med mailed to her and got her ready to use this wonderful service. When my mom called to fill her prescription, she was told that she would get her meds in a week, in plenty of time before she ran out. 10 days later, she called to find out where her prescription was and was informed that the prescription had not been filled let alone mailed. The online pharmacy suggested that she go to the Costco warehouse store to pick up and that it would be waiting for her the next day (where is she usually went). My mom called me this morning to tell me that her blood pressure was very high and that she had no high blood pressure pills to take for 3 days and Should she drive herself to Costco warehouse to pick up the prescription that Costco online pharmacy had sent there?. Does Costco online pharmacy think this type of service is acceptable. When I call to find out what was going on, their comment was well they do their best. I asked if they cover the funeral costs for my mom stroking out as she waits for them to do their best after following their timeline guidelines. Apparently, they DO NOT think of the people who need the medications but rather the warehousing and distribution of a product... -mailing they are way out of their league on this service.

Did not get good customer service

I went in to get booster shot & flu shot. I didn't get update vaccine card. I discovered later my friend had No trouble but Costco Airport So. San francisco Pharmacy gave him a new card & exchange for his old records. I later called them & they said they do the same but when arrived they said they wouldn't. And pharmacist was grinning like she played a joke on me. I do not like to have to be lied to & then made fun of. They are very unprofessional, mean & terrible. Casher personal are nice but changes all the time.

Trouble getting booster with appointment

I tried several times to get my booster with an appointment and every time I went they told me another story why they couldnt give me the booster this time is the last theyre telling me it Hass to be six months then I say why did the online application to get the booster give me a date on a specific day to go and get the booster when the pharmacist is telling me I shouldnt be getting the booster Kush it hasnt been six months yet the second shot of Moderna Was on 8/30/21. Why does my appointment say show up today to get the booster win the pharmacist says no. daniel Aiello 631484**** Costco in Holbrook New York

Out of 18 pills they gave me 13

A script for Prednisone has been shortened twice The time before. It was 2 or 3 short. Out of 18 that is not a lot of counting. This time 18 pills received 13 pills. I should have called the first time. I talked with the Manager Kyle and he said they are so busy, mistakes happen. I told him if someone cant count to 18 they should not be in a position like. Reading reviews other people are being shorted too. He told me he was going to put in my profile I count my Medication. Warning everyone should count their Meds at Costco!!!

5 trips to pick up medication

I live 15mi from Costco. The 1st time I went to pick up my medication, it wasn't ready. The 2nd time the pharmacist was at lunch, the 3rd time they had a power outage and I could not come in. The 4th time the pharmacist was out to lunch. I'm hoping on my 5th trip I can get my medication. To the pharmacist. In Iowa, as long as you are in the building, a tech CAN pass out medication. You don't need to shut down the enire pharmacy.

Wrong count on medication

I placed a refill for one of my daily medications after I took the last one. When my wife went to pick it up she was told that they did not complete the refill request because I should still have 2 more months left before the next refill. They told my wife said that if I want the meds, she would have to pay for them. The bottle is marked 90 but I finished it in a month. The funny thing is that these meds are capsules and it's impossible to fit all 90 of them in the tiny bottle that was marked with a 90 count. This is the second time they did this to me. The first time I just let it go.

I get a script for HydroCodone, Costco demands a reasn code. Doctor sends code. Costco then demands a Diagnosis code. Doctor sends it. Costco demands detailed desctiption of condition. I go to get it and deliver by hand. I Notify Costco that if they do not accecpt this that my original prescription must be returned so I can go else where. They then notify me that my embossed certified prescription has been Lost. DEA and Gwinnett County Police are being Notified. Can you say Palmeto Cheese? *** Thiefs! Pricing of prescriptions

I transferred my prescriptions to my local Costco store when my wife and I had eye surgery because I assumed the prices would be lower at Costco. I was way wrong. If you compare pricing at other stores, ( grocery, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) you will see that Costco is higher on just about every prescription. My wife and I have about 12 medications that we take daily and I have found that I can save a lot of money going to a grocery chain rather than Costco. I have been a loyal Costco member for at least 25 years. We shopped at the first Price Club in San Diego when we lived there. I was very disappointed to find that the prices were so much more at Costco. People trust that they are not being taken advantage of so I am sure most people don't even check. I am glad I did.

It’s just AWFUL using Costco Norwalk, CT pharmacy.

Wrong medication. And I called ahead of time to make sure it was ready. And the staff are rude and disrespectful. And dont seem to get it I am there to get a good price on my medication not just buy my medication at any price. This is not the first time nor was I the only one having a problem on Sat May 29, 2021. So I had to leave with nothing.

Wrong RX second time

Second occurrence where when I got home and opened my rx, found they gave 10 additional of drug I don't use. Took it to chief pharmacist and got the no big deal response. Was going to complain to State board but their fillable form to load. Perhaps a window of things to come?

Lack of professionalism

Went in to get meds for my spouse who just got out of the hospital and was in need of monitoring. I found someone who could help while I got the meds the hospital ordered 4 hours previously and they told Costco it would need to be done quickly. When I get to the pharmacy desk, I had already received a text telling me one med was ready. I was told one was ready but they didn't have the second one started yet? Very poor understanding of needs WHEN A HOSPITAL CALLS IT IN! So now I am told after the desk clerk checks with the pharmacist, that it would be 15 minutes. 45 minutes later I come the counter again an I am told "they are just now counting them." Now I am agitated, rightfully so. I waited another 1p minutes for them to get done. This is seriously unprofessional it looks like you have never done this before. Maybe you better take a look at your training.
