Consumer Advocacy Group - Consumer Debt Consolidation Review

The Banks refuse to cooperate with their requests and still allowed payday loan to go through. When i called them they blamed me for not doing something right. The bank said what they were doing and asking is illegal and refused to allow me to close my acct because i still owed the payday people. They will be reported. When i called to get a refund for firzt payment they refused because i did everything wrong and broke contract by not calling them. I didnt have a phone for 2 mos. They refused to listen.

After Midnight Robo Call from CAG

I was awakened at 2:30 AM by their robo call. I thought maybe one of my children was in trouble, e.g. a car accident. My heart was racing when I was awakened so late, or early. Really? A robo call at 2:30 AM. I would like to choke the person(s) responsible. What on earth can the Consumer Advocate Group idiots be working on. This is a complaint about the Consumer Advocate Group and not about any company. Does the Consumer Advocate Group make money off of complaints by the citizens? Makes me wonder where they get their money. Obviously, they do not spend their time and money on their robot calls to unsuspecting parents in the middle of the night, that is after midnight. I would like a call from the Consumer Advocate Group focusing on a sincere apology for waking me up way after midnight. I did not fall asleep for the rest of the night. Idiots. Idiots. The advacacy for consumer rights is a scam also based in arizona lake havasu. The s am people with there parse syntax grammer that they claim can never be disputed. They lie over and over again. Names they use is Leyton ward and also david wynn miller. The federal postal court is a sham also. They took 3,600 from us and never did their job besides telling our home is paid in full and then forclose letter.

Beware

Beware of high pressure tactics that will use. I signed up initially and then canceled before they debt my checking account after a gut feeling I had. When I tried the cancel, the sales rep was rude just like when I was first up. Beware and check to make sure they are licensed in your state. If they are not do not conduct business with them as they are fishy and will try to pressure you into signing into their program. Its much better to file a complaint with the state or the federal consumer protection agency than pay thousands for a service that you can do yourself.

Review in Loans and Mortgages category from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania

I was scammed $3000 by them. This is a dirty company. I spoke to Albert Green of the Consumer Advocacy Center a nd he explained How They were connected with Stone Law Group(Kaine Wen). Just a few days ago their website has been removed, phone numbers are disconnected and no one responds to emails. I have filed complaints with Federal Trade Commission, Pa Attorney General and reported Kaine Wen to the California State Bar. Theses individuals will get caught sooner or later. here is the info I was given..... Lenders are all scammers!!!!!!!!

I got a loan from World Savings in 2006. I was told by my broker that the loan he was giving me was the best loan out there. I come to find out that he put me in the worst loan ever. I was told I was being put into a real loan in which my payments would go to pay off my princiapl balance. When I got my first mortgage statement from the bank I found out that I was in a negative amoritzation loan. After several years in this loan making payments every single month on time I am not even close to paying down my balance. In fact I owe more now then when I started. My broker told me when I went back to him that he had to change the loan last minute because the lender was not allowing me to get the loan because of my income. I asked him why he did not tell me this when I was signing the documents. When I signed the documents it was with a notary at a Burger King at about 7pm. I had to rush to meet the notary because they told me I had to sign right away or else the loan would not go through. I now find out this was just a tactic to scare me into signing something I did understand. I called the broker and he made no mention of the changes in the loan when I was signing. The broker just said he would asnwer any questions later and if they had to change anything they would take care of it. When I found out what was going on, I called him and low and behold he was no longer there. I tried to talk to his supervisor and he would not get on the phone. I tried calling the bank and told them that I was swindled and they said "well you signed the documents". I said I did not know what I was signing and they said it was not there fault if I did not read everything. I trusted my broker was not lying to me because what he would say to me over the phone or in person I assumed he would follow up with what we agreed on. Instead he just took advangate of me and knew that I was a trusting person. Now my loan has been sold 4 times and I think it's going to be sold again. Evertime I try to get a loan modifcaiotn and they always deny it after I have tried for months and months. One time they said I made too much money and that they could not approve it. The next time they said I made too little. One time they said I had too much debt to income ratio. One time they approved it and right after they approved it they sold the loan to another lender and then the new lender said they are not oblgiated to follow the previous lenders decisions and that I would have to start the entire process over again. I did and same things happened. The lenders are all scammers and if you try to get in touch with someone you end up talking to different people every time and they are usually in different countries. It seems like they just read scripts and repeat everything you say to drag out the conversattion.. I love when they repeat what you say, then say they are very sorry that you are going through this an there are here to help. Then they place you on hold forever. When they come back they end up telling you they are going to send you some documnts to start the process.. In most cases, they never do come back. The call gets disconnected and they you have to go back through a bucnh of prompts to get back to teh same department. Of course, once you get back you are now talking with another person from oversees that is reading the same script. I have also known the governemnt agencies do really nothing about it. They setup all these programs and they don't do anything. Now I am with Naationstar and they are about the worst so far. They should all be put in prison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Consumer advocacy group: a deceptive organization

Consumer advocacy group engages in deceptive marketing operations. They belong to the prototypical "scammer" described by the Loan Modification Scam alter (http://www.loanscamalert.org/things-you-should-know.aspx). They do not deliver on their claim, yet they request up-front payment which is barely legal. I would encourage individuals who were fooled by Consumer advocacy group to file a complaint with the FTC (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/) and to report it at 1-88*-995-HOPE (4673). This organization, Consumer advocacy group, should not be allowed to continue its operations: stop the "scammers"! Consumer advocacy group mails semi-official letters with loan information they probably acquired from registry deeds.

Lies and deception.

There's a company that calls themselves "Consumer Advocacy Group". ( NOT Consumer Advocates group - thats a whole other scam) No matter what they tell you, they are a debt collection company based at 3380 Sheridan Drive in Amherst, NY. The owner of the company used to be affiliated with a shady debt collection company called United Arbitration Associates ( also in Amherst). They will call repeatedly and threaten that they have a judgement pending against you, when in fact, they have no power whatsoever. If you check into the history of United Arbitration Associates, you will see that numerous payments that went to them never in fact were used to pay the original debt. STAY AWAY. And... they all use fake names. They won't be in business long.

Scammed us out of our home

We contacted Consumer Advocate Group to help with our house in foreclosure. They told us they could help us. We sent them $2000 to help us. Nathan who was our case manager told us he had worked out a deal with the bank. We had sent them all the info they needed and we signed everything they wanted. At this time we had around 6 Mths before we lost our home, the only we ever heard as they were working on our case. When it was getting down to 2 months to go we started trying to get in contact with them. We tried to email and calling them with no contact of any kind from them. we have now lost our home along with about $40000 in equity in what we had. we have lost everything because of them.

Trying the same thing to me!

Just wanted to give a heads up to those who sent in the forms!! Remember that they now have your SS# for later when you get back on your feet, be ready for them to hit you again. Plus I am sure that they will have sold the info to who really knows how many people by that time. I hope somebody is able to catch up to them and put a stop to this. I was right in the middle of getting ready to send the money and thought that I had better check a bit further into the company. Everything says nothing but scams!! Sorry to those who got took and I hope thing will work out for you sometime soon!!

Advocates for Consumer Affairs - same as Consumer Advocates Group SCAM BEWARE

The good reviews are people within the company trying to make it look like they can do something for you. THIS IS A SCAM. Check out www.consumer-advocates-group.com. It is the exact same scam. They have made a ton of money and they will not help you. I paid CAG $2000 and my home is being forclosed. DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE. Your mortgage company will have the final say in a shortsale or home loan modification. Call them first. I also downloaded all the documents CAG sent me at pissedconsumer.com. If you get the same docs, you will see these people are trying to scam you. These people create fake websites and make it seem like they are featured in Forbes magazine and Yahoo Finance. Take a close look - don't fall for the same scam as so many of us have. Check out CA laws - it is illegal to take money upfront for a home loan modification. Once you pay them, you will not be able to contact them. Very rude and unprofessional people.

Screwed me.

Nathan Cass told me in July 2011 that they could assist in modifying my loan. I sent in the paperwork requested and $1900. They also tried to get more from a wire with my bank, but I was able to stop that. In Dec 2011, I sent them the offer from my mortgage company for review. I tried several times to call and email, explaining that they needed a response that week. Of course ,no response. In Jan 2012, Jenna from processing ( Supervisor) told me that they sent the paperwork to the mortgage company. That was a lie! I am now in foreclosure thanks to them. I have tried to call several times a day since then as well as sent numerous emails. No One has responded. In fact, no one answers the phone there. Even the answering machine doesnt come on. I spoke to the mortgage company and they said they have tried to contact them several times to no avail. This company is a scam! Nathan was really nice until they got the money; then, no one will speak to you. DON'T USE THEM!!! And, all that hype about being featured in news articles is bull. I checked, but too late.

They scammed my family and we are now homeless!

I'm a single mother of 3 children (12yrs, 5yrs & 9 mths). I lost my job in the recession and recently divorced. Due to financial circumstances my home went into the foreclosure process. My mtg company denied me 3 times for a loan re-modification. I was contacted by Consumer Advocates Group,(listed above), promising me that they would be able to get me a loan re-modification based on their different approaches used on mtg companies. I explained several times that I'm on very limited income and I couldn't afford to pay them any money if I wasn't going to be guaranteed a re-mod from it. They assured me several times verbally & in their "Client Welcome Pack" they emailed me that they would get results and me and my 3 children would be able to remain in the only home they've ever known. Marvin Jones (case manager), explained to me that I would need to send them $2000, the cost of their fee, before they could begin any kind of "stopping the foreclosure process" for my home(on by behalf). I borrowed and scraped up my last dime to pay them in installments= $600 Beg.of Nov. 2010 & $400 end of Nov. 2010; and $500 Beg.of Dec. 2010 & $500 end of Dec.2010. The kids didn't get any Xmas presents from me because Consumer Advocates wiped out ALL of my money. Now that they have my money, the phone calls have stopped and they haven't done ANYTHING for the money. They have not tried to get a loan modification, or any other type of program in regards to helping homeowners avoid foreclosure. They also have not done any kind of negotiating or scare tactic process with my mortgage company as they stated would be done in their "Welcome Package". The sale date was approaching (Dec 27, 2010), and I kept calling them, and calling, leaving message after message. I also sent numerous emails to Marvin Jones and also to their Processing Dept., exclaiming how much of a panic I was in regarding the sale date for my home being so close, and how nobody has called me back to inform me of whether or not they had put a stop on the sale of my home. It wasn't until the DAY BEFORE THE SALE DATE, that someone called me back, telling me that they were not able to get a re-mod because I am not employed with a job, and then Consumer Advocates suggested that I file an Emergency Bankruptcy Petition that day to stop the sale from happening tomorrow! So I was forced to rush down and file an emergency Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Petition so that me and my 3 kids wouldn't be forced out of our house the next day. After filing Bankruptcy, I tried everyday by phone and email to get a hold of anyone at Consumer Advocates, but they avoided me like the plague. They currently still will NOT answer my phone calls or any of my emails. My kids and I are basically on borrowed time living in this house since the mortgage company is still denying a loan re-modification, and I don't have the income to pay every month, the arrears in the Bankruptcy, plus the regular mortgage payment amount combined. Consumer Advocates knew I was desperate and under pressure to save my house for my kids, and they knew I was barely making it financially, but still preyed upon me to steal $2000 and not care about my children and myself ending up homeless because of their scam. UPDATE....MY HOME HAS BEEN FORECLOSED!!!
