Worthless

My cats, after 48hr. fast, barely tasted, and then immediately vomited. Tried 3 different wet foods to disguise the taste - they refused it.

Liked it at first.

First time I gave the pill, it worked fine for my chihuahua -terrier mix. Second month ,after I mixed it with food, after 30 minutes she vomited it up. Must of got in her system because she had no fleas for 2 weeks. But after trying one consecutive month after another she vomited the pill up, no matter how i tried to give it to her she would get sick.Never knew how much she got in got into her system, sometimes it worked for 2 weeks, maybe just one, maybe not at all. I had to switch to a topical mesication.

The flea control pills poisoned two older Corgi dogs

This product should NOT be given to older dogs, AT ALL! The flea control pills poisoned two older healthy Corgi dogs (both around ten years old), which produced kidney failure in both within one week of giving the pills orally. Both dogs had to be put down within one week of the medication. Just heartbreaking! The dogs had symptoms of poisoning shakes, muscle tremors, not eating, lethargic, and eventually one even had a healthy pink tongue turn to black coloring on the tip, which indicates kidney and heart failure. The paws turned cold too. In my opinion, these flea control pills should be removed from the market and banned. Or, AT LEAST, labeled on the packaging, "Harmful if administered to older dogs, and may cause kidney failure".

With vet

Gave my dogs comfortis as I have in past. I past saw great improvement in a couple of hours. I gave my dog the pills about 3 weeks ago and nothing. I call vet and they said fleas built up a resistance. If comfortis kills the fleas how did they build up a resistance? Did they come back to life because they built up a resistance? I believe company is not making the same product and coming up with stupid reasons. Just like a human physician they lie to sell the product and once the product has made the owner rich they say screw u I have your money. I have given my dog another dose 5 days early. U can’t take meds in for refund. They get u every which way

Meds are not working as promised

My dog and cat are still interested with fleas. I had to get 2 pills for each animal within a 15 to 20 day period. It's expensive and I want it to be fixed either refund or more pills to fix the problem.

Waste of money! Animals totally refuse to eat it!

It doesn't even matter if this stuff kills fleas or not. The animals REFUSE to eat it, point blank! I hadn't bought this product in two years, and now I am remembering why I wasn't using it. The "beef flavored" tablets are so bad tasting that even my food gulping dogs will *** and spit it out if they accidentally *** into it before getting it swallowed. It smells to strongly bitter even to MY nose that it's nearly impossible to find any food I can disguise it in, and the large dog size dosage is so huge that none of my dogs can just swallow it down, they always have to chew it and then they spit it out and refuse to touch it again! I just spent $100 on dosages for my four dogs and 11 cats, and probably a lot of that money is going to go up in smoke now. What a waste of money and time!

Comfortis - Flea Control Review

Took my Dottie to the vet 3 weeks ago with dehydration and not wanting to eat. She ws given iv fluids, cyrenia injection, drontal (wormer), some pepcid for gastritis, and comfortis. She was diagnosed with the flu aand gastritis. Few days later finally got the drontal and the comfortis down. She acted a little better for a few days and then a week later took her back to the vet where they diagnoaed her with pneumonia and gave more iv fluids, batryl, and to continue with the pepcid. She continued to decline she no longer would accept anu food through syringe nor would she drink. Another trip to the vet later, this time xrays and bloodwork was done, which showed a possible mass near her stomach and lungs also her kidney function was declining. Vet wasn't sure if was a mass or abcess near stomach so suggested exploratory surgery asap. That was a tuesday and on thursday my dottie had surgery and I was told her gallbladder was enlarged and one kidney was fibrosed and the other was completely gone. Even though my Dottie was sick I firmly believe her situation became worse after taking the comfortis. I strongly recommend no pet owner give this to their pet. EVER!!!!

Doesn't work

This is the second time I've wasted money on this placebo. Gave all my dogs a dose at the beginning of the month 3 weeks later their all scratching. Call the company, get a long song and dance and they give me some *** they have to be on it for three months. Well that ain't what's advertised. HOURS! and then last for 30 days!? B.S. Don't waste your money get Bravecto. I have 9 Danes and they all have great skin, they get fresh goat milk on their lamb and rice, they get fresh organic rabbit. So the only odd component out is this Comfortis ***.

My dog had a stroke after using comfortis

My healthy perfectly 101 lb. pit bull Had a stroke after receiving comfortis. The right side of her face is paralyzed, she walks sideways and can't go up or down stairs. She is only 7 years old and now is permanently disabled. I am a groomer and have recommended comfortis to hundreds of customers over the years and now I am learning how dangerous it is. there are hundreds of horror stories on the internet. I don't care if only one dog had an adverse reaction. I believe you are hiding the truth and if I can find a way I will sue you for the care she will need if she lives long enough. We already had to build a handicap ramp, steps up to the bed and see her suffer. I bet you won't even respond to my complaint. we will see.

Sharlee Stockyard did not send flea medication

I laced an order with Sharlee Stockyard for 2 6month supply of Comfortis Flea medication on July 13th, 2011. I received email that the order was processing and being shipped. the email said I should receive medication in 10 to 20 days. After a month, I contacted Sharlee Stockyard via email about my order. Did not hear from them. Contacted again and once again never received reply but still charged my credit card for Comfortis flea medication(over $100.00)! Now having to go through credit card company! And poor dogs itched until I had to go by same flea med. for almost $200. This is bad business!!!
