Fraud

This company is a fraud they told us we had storm damage we didn't have and filed a fraudulent insurance claim for over 35k ( all other companies we brought in after the fact to see if we had damage were at 18k for a full replacement but we didnt have the damage they claimed) then when declined by our insurance company they are trying to come after us for breach of contract. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Horrible Service in Every way

In short run away from this company. They will tell you how great they are and will not deliver a satisfactory product in any respect. Absolutely one of the worse contractors we have ever dealt with. Customer service strings you along nothing is ever done on time and no supervision of the actual work. All they want is you money nothing more.

Worst roofing company ever

We have signed a contract with this company over a year ago and we still have a tarp on our roof. Not one person there knows anything that is happening with our claim. We have been passed through over 6 representatives. The main guy on our file is plainly useless. He never updates us. We call and email all the time and nothing after a year and 1 month we still have no roof. BEWARE DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS AWFUL COMPANY. Take your business elsewhere.

Agree with the service

This is the first time we used CRM services for our roof on a 40-year-old home, the removal of the old roof and installation of the new roof was handled quickly and professionally. I'm very appreciative of the cleanup efforts made on our home.

Questionable Operations

CMR has been sending out flyers offering homeowners a $500 American Express gift card just to get on their roof to do an evaluation. This is illegal in the State of Florida. Additionally, they are pushing the deadline for Hurricane Irma damage repair is Sept 2020, but Irma State of Emergency ended Mar 2018. They are playing on Hurricane damage to get access to the insurance companies (Very common in Florida). They tell the homeowner all they will owe is deductable, but on the backside charge the insurance company 2 or 3 times the actual roof cost. If anyone in Florida has questions about this they can contact the Florida Bureau of Insurance fraud for more information.

Wanting over $19,000.00 to cancel contract that they can not fullfil..

CMR construction and roofing, promised before signing contract that they would get all work covered by my insurance company after Hurricane Irma claim..22 1/2 months later they did not get all the claim covered and came to me to see how much I would come up out of pocket to meet their numbers..(approx. $142,000.00) I told them all I was paying was my deductible and they were responsible for covering the damage as verbally agreed upon. Forget the verbal guarantee, they have your signature on their contract..that is when everything went south quickly.. Now after many hours and ($15,000.00) dollars in attorney fees I was able to settle with my insurance company for $85,000.00 less attorney fees, engineering fees, mediation fees the settlement comes to approx. ($69,662.50). Now CMR, to cancel contract, CMR is wanting 25% of the $69,662.50 +++ 25% of my hurricane deductible of $6,614.00. I am willing to pay 25% on the $69,662.50, but not my hurricane deductible..This all comes to $19,069.13.. to CMR...This is a lot of money to cancel a contract when no materials or supplies were ordered and they provided very little direction in the settlement process.

Let people know what a SCAM this company is and their Managemen that I AM DEALING WITH SUCKS!!!!

Has anyone ever taken CMR to court??? I have a settlement check that I am putting in trust and never cashing and having another company do my roof..incidentally CMR wants 25% to buy out of their contract.. Gouging at it best.. If you do business with this company... you will lose big time if your insurance company doesn't lay down and roll over and play dead!!!!!!!! Have an attorney explain their contract to you.. It is about to cost me $23,000 to buy out their contract..If you sign their contract you are an idiot!!!!!!!!!!

This Company is PURE EVIL!

Stay FAR away from CMR Construction and Roofing. They are a SCAM! They will tell you they can get you a new roof, will submit the insurance claim for you, and all you have to pay is the deductible from the insurance settlement. They say...you are getting a brand new roof for pennies on the dollar! Sounds great, doesn't it? Well is not, it's a SCAM. What CMR will not tell you when you sign up with them, they will take your ENTIRE settlement check! That's right, no matter how much you get for your claim they will take it all and smugly say they deserve it for "all they did for you" . They will never give you and estimate for the cost to replace your roof, either before or after the claim is settled. They will say "you don't need an estimate...the insurance claim adjuster's settlement document IS the estimate...we use the same software they use to generate the estimate". Now, in my case the settlement check was $85,000. I got 3 estimates from reputable roofing companies in my area to replace me roof, and all three averaged around $35k. That's what a reputable company with good business ethics would charge...but not CMR!!! No No No, they will TAKE the entire claim of $85K, still demand you paid them the deductible (This Company is PURE EVIL n my case), and sub-contract out the job to another roofer to throw a crap roof on, pay to sub-contractor like $30K to do the job, and pocket the rest of the settlement claim, in my case $64,000! In any other roofing universe, this extra money would be yours to keep .do more repairs to your home, etc. But CMR will tell you "you cannot keep the excess money, you are not allowed to "profit" from a insurance settlement claim". While this statement is correct, in this case that is absolutely a lie! The settlement is YOUR money!!! It's what they paid to make you whole to satisfy your damages to your property. If you do your due diligence and can get all the repair work done or less than your settlement amount, that extra is YOURS to keep, period...end of story. But you won't have to worry about any of that if you sign up with CMR, they will take all the money off your hands so you'ill not have to worry about such silly things. PLUS, they will proclaim you should be thankful to them for all they have done...and also tell all of your friends about them and what great guys they are! So here is the bottom line, if you need a new roof and want a company to "help" get your claim for a new roof, charge you $94,000 for a roof you should have only paid $30,000 for, only get a 5 year workmanship warranty when most others will give you 10 years, and help to contribute to the reason we are all paying super high insurance homeowners premiums, then CMR Construction &;;;;;;;; Roofing are your guys!. If you do sign up with these lying, underhanded, misleading, unethical and immoral people don't say that I didn't warn you! For the life of my, do not know how they are able get away with it all. I hope some good and hungry lawyer is out there and will read this, and launch a class action lawsuit against these scam artists!

Unprofessional

This January (2018) I had the unfortunate experience of being behind a truck operated by CMR with an Indiana plates. I spent several weeks contacting the company because the truck was pulling a cement mixer and chunks of cement hit my six month old car. The problem is when you call the 800 number it doesn't go to the same place so you never get the same place. I was on vacation and trying to resolve issue while I was in town, but I never even received a phone call back. It is now December of 2018 and sending several CMR locations a letter and copies of the damages that someone somewhere will need to sign for. I will get my car fixed because this was no fault of mine. The cement actually hit my windshield and thankfully didn't break due to the windshield protection I added at time of purchase. it did however put a chip in it, but at 65mph it could have been worse for me and others. I will also be contacting the BBB, although not all of the are accredited by the BBB. Is it to much to ask for someone to call you back. Twice a received the same operator when I called, but all they do is enter the information for someone in customer service to call you back. the only person to care was the original person that I called.

Great Experience

I was very pleased CMR roofing, my salesman Danny Hodge's was there to help every step of the way. I was initially declined by the insurance company and Danny met with the adjuster and engineer , he went up on the roof with them and showed the damage . Approximately 3 weeks later I had approval for a new roof . Dannny was there to answer questions provide information, samples for the HOA . Brandon Phelps managed the the installation and was helpful when I had had some minor issues. He and Danny also worked with insurance company to when hidden damage was discovered the insurance company was quick to send a check I was extremely happy with the professional work CMR and Danny and Brandon performed on my residence. No accountability. Day laborers never clean up.

Literally the worst company. I live in a HOA and the HOA picked this company clearly without reading the reviews. First, I have many leaks coming in my roof when addressing with the contractor Thad we called the AC guys which he offered to pay for the AC guys came out and said it was a combo of having a over worked AC due to them leaving our roofs off for weeks and my filter not allowing it to breath. Thad then goes to my HOA president and puts full blame on my filter but I have 6 spots all over my ceiling don't see how a filter would cause that but the lack of accountability from this guy was unbelievable. I'm still having leaks and the filter is new so not sure what he'll blame this time. Then they leave all types of garbage all over. If it wasn't for my son going and getting the nails off our driveway we'd have holes in our tires. This Thad guy has brought random people into my home that never needed to look at anything. He walked in my home before without being addressed when the AC guys were there. When the AC guys came Thad tried to back out of paying the only $39 fee saying my AC warranty should pay them after he called the company. Nothing but unprofessionalism and filth all over the place.

Beyond horrible! Stay away!!

CMR has been working on our roofing job for months. It has had multiple supervisors, installment done wrong, terrible and adversarial customer service, and over bills! Be sure to ask for an itemized invoice and check for accuracy!! This company is truly the used car salesman of The roofing industry. RUN don’t walk away!!!

Your neighbors will hate you

Hire this company and you will get unprofessionals, mostly day laborers not suitably dressed or trained, performing {{Redacted}} work and leaving the job site each night looking like a third world dump site! Trash strewn around lawns, no dumpster-they use an open landscape trailer, and the supervisor sits in her beater car with the front bumper tied on, smoking and looking at her cellphone all day. Plastic bottles and trash litter the lawn, and they obviously don’t know that sprinklers come on in the morning, soaking the plywood they left all over the grass, ready to go on the roof the next day- wet and warping, ready to mold up under the tyvek! They use hammers -no nail gun or compressor-and blowers on the roof! Absolutely no safety equipment for their workers, either. Blowing nails all over the street for the neighbors to run over, while trash blows over to the neighbors’ lawns. Not to mention the leaking oil from their trucks staining the street, and no building permit in sight. This is the absolute worst roofing company I’ve ever seen, and we know what pros look like! The first day, the workers looked like they were picked up on a corner, in short pants, sneakers, and t-shirts in the roasting Florida heat. They obviously couldn’t complain about it, and after watching them slave away for 12 hours, we called security and ended their day for them at 7:00 pm. They started work at 7:00 am. Someone should investigate this company for their labor practices and sloppy, unprofessional manner. They threw a plastic tarp, unsecured, over the bare roof, and left. Check out the photo!

Elderly Beware

A salesman from this company has really given my elderly parents a very difficult time. He has pushed them around for a few months now. As of today we are calling Fox4 and Wink news to try to get the story out. Avoid this company, you can't reach anyone in the corporation with the exception of Michael. And he is the one creating the issues. Mary J. Trump
