Complaint

They don't honor the clay cooley 3 day return guarantee. One person honored it the sales manager didn't. They don't care about customers only money.

One person told us one thing another told us some

Clay cooley of mesquite did not honor the 3 day return guaranteed on the family policy. One person told us on August 4 2023 that we could return the new car that we bought from them on August 7th at 130 pm. We bought it back and the sales manager said no. He offered us another car for " a big discount". Then he said he couldn't tell us how much of a discount. We will never go to clay cooley again. We have bought 3 new vehicles in the last 2 years from clay cooley. We will never buy from clay cooley again.

Very disappointed about vehicle I purchased

I went to turn my car in because I realized I didnt like it and plus my speedometer is in km/h. There is no way to change it to mph where Im in America. They told me I cant because I took the little blind spot motors off and in doing so I cracked mirror. I told them I would pay for them to replace the mirror and they still said no. On top of that I just dont like the suv as much as I thought I did. I tried to get them to give me my car that I traded in back but still refused. Plus the extra fees they added in. Now I am looking to trade in because Im very unhappy and dissatisfied.

They are Horrible! This Rating should be Negative!

It was HORRIFIC! Buying a vehicle from this dealership was the worst experience Ive ever had. Unfortunately, I had to place an order for my car. I gave the sales representative an advanced check/payment from my bank. I was never contacted about the status of my order for a whole month even though I left several messages, Eventually, I took the initiative to contact and visit the dealership in person. Upon arrival, I noticed that their were several vehicles available for purchase. I asked the sales representative why she didnt contact me about my car or one of the vehicles that were available to purchase? She stated that she actually forgot about me. That was the first cringe worthy statement! The next cringe worthy statement came from the financial officer who did not apologize for NOT having my vehicle available in a timely manner, but tried to up-sell/overcharge me for an upgraded model. When I refused the out-the-door pricing hed offered, I requested a refund from my previous purchase. The financial officer told me that he was NOT going to refund my purchase because the check was already cashed and that it was my fault because Id already signed for the purchase of a new car that was as never delivered!! Needless to say, I was mortified! I told the officer that if they did not refund my check/money or present me with a reasonable offer for an upgraded purchase, that I would be contacting the police department and the DA here in Dallas, TX. Well after getting the Manager involved and going back and forth for a reasonable offer, I was able to walk away with a new 2022 VW upgraded model. Again, this was the worst car buying experience Id ever had and I will NEVER refer anyone to this dealership nor will I ever visit them again!!

Not a happy customer

Incompetent dealership if there a zero that what I have rated I have to take time out of my busy schedule been calling about for 3 weeks now they expire tomorrow.

Treated unfairly

July 2021 went to the dealership for a car they ran my credit and approved me for a trade in of my 2019 Volkswagen with a 1000 down. I was okey with the down payment and when I called back the sales guy was not there anymore therefore referred to another salesman who again ran my credit and gave me another different deal. October 15th went back to the dealership again ran my credit this time was 2000 down paid it with no problem did the paperwork which took me all day from 10am to finally having the car at 8pm and to my understanding paperwork was going to be emailed on Monday. 18th October around noon salesman calls me to go to the dealership, drive up there with no sleep from working again overnight only to be told i cannot drive the new car out of the dealership because I now need a co-signer. My question was why did they give me the car on that day after spending a whole day there switched my insurance and paid 2000 down payment and then turn around and cause us psychological stress by asking back for the car. I feel I have been treated so unfairly by the Volkswagen, clay Cooley and after taking to the manager no help he got mad.

Welcoming and efficient staff

I need to praise the experience I had today with Patrick Smith and Victor Sandy. They were attentive and very helpful. I was pursuing purchase of my lease rental and we felt respect, graciousness and business competence.

File a complaint

I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe from Clay Cooley Mesquite on 07/06/21. The AC did not work and was blowing hot air so I spoke with my salesperson who advised me to take it to the service center (no appointment needed). I went to Clay Cooley Mesquite service center on 07/10/21 and was there as soon as they opened to be turned away and told I needed an appointment. I made an appointment for the following Saturday 07/17/21 (I live in Fort worth and it is a 48 mile drive there). I arrived for my appt 07/17 15 minutes early and sat there until 4 pm when I get a call from the service center advisor that they will not have time to service my vehicle before they lock the doors at 5pm. Angry I walked over to the Main office to speak with a Supervisor. I was eventually put in a loaner but asked to ONLY drive to and from work. I have not received any calls with an update on my vehicle. I called 07/22/21 and was told my vehicle had not been looked at yet. I called today 07/28/21 and the advisor states he has no record of my vehicle being in the shop to be worked on. At this point I am very frustrated. Ive was told the AC machine to do test the AC on my vehicle is broken and has been broken for over 2 1/2 weeks. Service advisor states he does not want when it will be fixed. Honeshelp

Sold a car to me , without servicing , the car went completely dead battery not connected

Battery not connected cable came off stuck in a parking lot first nite, two door sensors not working for keyless entry the car said only 4000 miles on it . There was a damaged cover box underneath at with a big hole unit , a thick wire hanging down , dangerous situation, so I finnaly got a hold of Alex Reece , told me the salesman had told me the car only came with one key and I would have to go and buy a second key from Ford , so I told Alex about all this and he got me a second key and told me to bring the car back toto the dealership

Well first I was lied too then I was ignored and this after you took part of down-payment then I came for refund and I have been waiting for atheist 1 hour nothing but wait I did not hasatate 1 min 5o give you money but when I ask for I back you make waitdont come

Service department

ON Wed 25th of November 2020 I went to pick up my car at Hyundai in Mesquite. I noticed that they had charged $155 for adjusting car plate. The car plate had been installed by a guy named Collin at the dealership in Mesquite. It was apparently installed incorrectly but I was charged that huge amount to correct their own mistake. I want my money back.

Terrible Customer Service - Justin Gregg Worst employee of this place

Clay Cooley in Richardson. Cancelled extended warranty back in May. Justin Gregg said it would take about 12 weeks to get a refund. It's taken several visits to the dealership to get a follow up. Every visit has been the same lie “Check is almost ready”. It's been 4 months now and still no answer. Justin Gregg was given an ultimatum to answer by this Tuesday, September 29. He never answered. Now is time for the lawyers to get involved!

Bait and switch

See car I wanted. Inquired about it. Set appointment. Day off f appointment they sent message saying expecting me. I confirmed that car was still there. Get to lot 5555 lemon dr Dallas Texas. They said car was sold yesterday. Then said d car was sold the day I inquired about it. But, said car was there before I made the trip. Rude people. No professional manner at all. Bought same car else where!
