We have lost thousands of dollars because of cheap o air

My siblings and I purchased a ticket for our mom using cheap o air ; a flight that was supposed to take her to London with a return ticket to look after her new grandkids; however on April 27th, I found out she needed a Schengen visa to be able to stop enroute in Amsterdam on her departure flight: I called Cheap o air to find out my options and i was told if i had to cancel that it had to be both tickets, that a departure ticket couldnt be cancelled alone,so I then told the agent that i dont want the refund as I needed the KLM return ticket and would get her another flight to the UK directly as it was too late to process the Schengen visa. The agent agreed and I felt all was fine until today August 1st when my brother tried checking my mom in for her flight tomorrow August 2, 2023 and was told by KLM that her flight was canceled! I called cheap o air and was told my flight existed and it was only when I informed cheap o air of the information provided to us by KLM that I was told of the no show policy! A policy that if I had been informed appropriately on April 27th,2023. I would have gotten my refund ! Today, I spoke with Jude and Issa both reps who deceived me of transferring my call to a supervisor and ended my call as they stated all they can do for me is get me to rebook another flight! I am sure you know how costly it would be to purchase a ticket a day to the travel date! We had to purchase a ticket a day to the travel date for the departure because we assumed it was our fault not to have checked if a Schengen visa was needed; however with the return ticket too, I refuse to accept a blame as I called the customer support , I asked questions as a novice and wanted help. The process has cost me and my sibling a lot of money ! It has cost us sleepless night trying to ensure our mom doesnt stay beyond her expected date in a new country ! I wouldnt refuse a refund of over 1000cad if I knew of the no show policy on April 27! This is a truly hard time all around the world and we are made to loose money! We have been a huge fan of cheap o air, but with this last experience! No! This is unfair! Especially with the customer support agents re emphasizing my mom had an active flight ticket even today August 1st ; when in actual fact it had been cancelled by the airline!

Extra charges of luggages

In behalf of my brothers and sister-in-law who travelled back home to the Philippines last July 28, 2023 from San Diego to the Philippines, I would like to have a refund on the amount of $210.00 that was charged by Alaska Airlines. Flight 1717 bound for San Diego to San Francisco, 7:47am on July 28, 2023 was canceled by United Airlines. The three passengers all last name BENAS was then rebooked to Alaska Airlines and they were charged each with $70.00 to a total of $210.00 for extra checked in luggage. I am asking for a refund because when I booked them to CheapOair it was all included the fees for the luggage, and actually it was a free or courtesy for the airlines for a passenger to allowed a two of 50lbs each check in luggage. Customer service is shockingly bad

Possibly going to lose around 500 usd worth of a plane ticket because of the customer service i have received up till now.

Customer service has been absolutely terrible. I messaged 4 days ago about getting a name correction. I was asked to wait 23 days . But having noticed the name had not been corrected on the 3rd day. I contacted them again. Asking for an update on the name change, as i did not have much time before my flight. But i was just told to wait, i did but with no name change on the 4th day i contacted them again. I asked for another update, but they just told me to wait. I said i could not wait as i needed to apply for an electric document with our flight information tomorrow. The customer service agent asked me to wait, and he would look further into. Only to be told that cheapoair had canceled my request for a name correction due to me not responding or a late response. This is complete crap, as i have responded to everything they have asked of me to do promptly. Having asked multiple people within cheapoair, not one person could even indicate to what i did not reply to or gave a late responded to. I have checked through all my emails and there was absolutely not 1 thind i did not respond to promptly. So they are blaming me for a mistake on their end. I know i typed in the name wrong, but the customer service i have received is appalling. I was asked to restart the name correction application. Which I obliged as I had no other option. 15 minutes after i send the email with the required information of the name change i received an email from some pkfares i have never heard of saying pay this fee within 30 minutes to confirm the change to your booking or it will be cancled. Firstly i was never made aware of a fee for changing the order of two letters in a name, and second i was never given any warning to keep an eye on my email as i would be getting an important one. Lucky i do check my emails quite regularly and noticed it in time but when i clicked the link i was provided with it came up with "internal service error 500" So now i am afraid my request has been canceled for a second time due to reasons out of my control. My flight leaves on 3 days i can not get through on the phones, the custom service agents in the live chat have not been helpful in resolving this issue.The last i sent to cheapoair was 7.5 hours ago with no response. Safe to say, i will never be booking with cheapoair again.

Baggage fee refund

I had failed to book luggage check-in two ways. When they rebooked my baggage to and from destination, they failed to immediately credit me for my one way baggage check in. Telling me via their website that it has been processed but takes 2 billing cycles to receive it. WHAT??? They didn't have to wait as I immediately notified them the same day as my flight was scheduled. I need this money back asap. No problem processing all the charges to my credit card. I made these reservations in April and here it is July! Still waiting and today is July 22nd.

They pulled the old switch and bait scam and refused to give us an adequate refund!

My husband was assured by an agent over the phone that we paid for 2 premium economy tickets for a total of $1500 each. What we got was 2 Coach tickets (middle seat and window) which were $800 tickets each. They are now telling us that because we were in the main cabin that that was the premium economy seat. They offered us a $121 refund total! I will never use them again. Cheapo Air is disreputable and not to be trusted.

My husband became I'll unexpectedly & we scrambled to find out what was wrong & we're not able to go to the wedding we had booked airline tickets through Cheapo Air.

It took multiple visits to our general practitioner, blood tests & visits to the neurologists, an mri, & 2 cat scans to try to identify why my husband was experiencing vertigo & thus unable to fly to Ireland for a wedding. I called Cheapo Air AND Icelander Air to try to explain & to offer documentation but NO GO. I was asking for a future credit or voucher & they refused to let me speak to a supervisor. For once, I did not purchase the "flight insurance", but I strongly suspect that they would have found a reason to not refund me. I'm frustrated at running into a brick wall & am appalled at the total lack of customer service & unwillingness to offer any kind of credit. In short, we lost $1300.

Hello! I am a regular customer of your Company and for the first time I encountered an absolute mutual misunderstanding with your employees (Nadia, Oletea) when buying air tickets: 1. My bank has received a number of invoices not only from your company, but for some reason from both carriers! This created a problem for the bank and they canceled my card. 2.After that, I received from your employees an invoice and booking confirmation for different amounts, and there is an arithmetic error in the confirmation. 3. For all my requests (by email) to send me a report on the received and possibly lost amounts and put the confirmation in order, I receive a thousand apologies and regrets and all the same confirmation with the same error! If that's not an evil joke, what is? 4. In such a situation, I cannot be sure of the successful registration of my flights. Please help me in this wild situation! Unfortunately I can't deal with them over the phone because of my bad English. Thank you. V.Gorman.

Left me stranded at the airport

DO NOT USE Cheapoair. Please spread this warning to everyone, that there is nothing cheap or competent about Cheapoair The short story: Cheapoair booked me to Charlotte, a car to Asheville and a return flight from Asheville. Easy, but the rental car they booked has to be returned to Charlotte. And they dont tell me about the car until Im in Charlotte. In what world does this make any sense? The long story: Cheapoair booked me from Rochester, NY (ROC) to Charlotte, NC (CLT) and a rental car to drive one way to Asheville, NC using SIXT rental with a drop off at Asheville airport (AVL) to fly back to Rochester (ROC). At the SIXT counter the agent told me that Cheapoair had screwed up my reservation because SIXT doesnt have an Asheville office, in fact they only one SIXT site in North Carolina and its the Charlotte airport. Obviously the wouldnt let me rent the car. I called Cheapoairs lack of customer service and bounced to 5 different agent who all said I had the wrong department, eventually I was told no one was there who had any authority to make it right. I was told that the only thing I could do was to find another car rental company or take a 2 hr taxi ride. Since it was Sunday and Mothers Day, only Avis had a car for a one way trip to Asheville and the cost more than doubled from $206 to $500. Cheapoair promised me that their policy is to respond to a stranded customer in 24 to 72 hours; the reason is that they have to listen to the tape and until then I was screwed. This they called customer service. It is now 72 hrs and of course I have no heard a word from Cheapoair. Their incompetence cost me $300. I intend to slag Cheapoair to all social media, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and any Government office that has oversight in the travel business. .

Horrible experience

Very very poor experience. I have a $2300 credit from a previous cancellation well within expiration date that they will not let me use. They are scammers. Please never book thru them

To warn others

Cheapoair took it upon themselves to CANCEL our flight (mind you we flew to Cancun, then were catching another flight from Cancun to our final destination right before Christmas!!) our flight to Cancun was fine, the one from Cancun to Morelia two days later had been canceled, WITHOUT NOTIFICATION!! They said they suspected fraud and was protecting us?!? Like, WHAT?!?! We ended up having to stay an extra night, get another room and car rental, MISS OUR FAMILIES CHRISTMAS PARTY AND PAY ALMOST DOUBLE DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE AT THE AIRPORT!! I have been trying to reach ANYBODY of authority to get our money back, they have not even refunded the money FOR THE FLIGHT THEY CANCELED ON US INITIALLY LET ALONE THE EXTRA $1300 WE HAD TO PAY TO THE AIRLINE DUE TO THEM (CHEAPOAIR) CANCELING OUR FLIGHT!! Its sad because weve used them for years, and now will never use again. Its impossible to reach anyone. All of their customer service representatives are indian and give you the run around every single time you call. I guess this is done to discourage folks from pursuing their refunds. I0, however, am relentless when it comes to our hard earned money and will see this through till the end, UNTIL I GET MY MONEY (and then some if they keep playin with me like my time is not valuable!) DO NOT USE THEM, the amount saved on your flight will not even matter when youre spending much more to fix their mistakes.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HARD TO DEAL WITH

Hello there I would like to complain about a company called cheapoair because they won't give my money back they've been giving me the same reason as always that they are still waiting for the response from the airlines, and so I called the airlines and told me that it is cheapoairs liability to do the refund and not the airlines. I called them tonight, and I talked to Sherwod he is a supervisor and won't give me his last name same reason he gave me we will work on it, we are still waiting for the response of the airlines and still the same guy who told me to call the airlines, so I can follow up myself and when I told him that the airlines told me that it is their liability he just told me we will work on it, I've been dealing with them for 2 years just to get my money back which is $1,600+ that I worked hard for and surely will help me right now specially on what our family is going through hopefully you can help me out with this. Thank you
