Poor quality and overprices

The staff and employees have all been great! The process was smooth with Pulte and the community staff. No issues there at all. Centex Homes... After working from home 1 day a week for 4 months, the cheap vinyl flooring has come unglued. It's not covered under warranty and is considered wear and tear. It's very cheap material. They didn't even bother to put a backsplash around the master bathtub (an upgrade) and caused water damage. The lip is very short around the top of the tub. We are the ones responsible for adding something to protect the wall. The garden tub is very shallow, but wide, and sits on top of cold cement. We can't soak in it. In the winter, the bottom is cold with no layer of insulation between the cement and the tub that we paid extra for. It feels like everything was made as cheaply as possible. It's as if we all were lucky to get granite countertops. If we had to buy a house again, we would buy an older home with bigger rooms, more yard, and a home that already had fans, a garage door opener, grass in the backyard, fire alarms with batteries that work longer than a few months, electric outlets that allowed us to plug things in, carpet that wasn't showing wear after 8 months, and so many other things. You will get the bare minimum for a high price. You won't realize it until you're already living there. It's also the little things like the garage door handle that is so painful to use to lift and close. You need to buy your own since there isn't a garage door opener. There's no room to park on the street because the houses are too close together. We wish we could afford to sell the house and buy somewhere else. Zero amenities! There should be a pool. I want to mention the flooring again... it's the worst cheap flooring that I have ever seen in my life!!! The homes are overpriced.

Centex put a lien on my home 29296 Woodbridge Dr murrieta ca 92563 I need a release letter from Centex so I can get loan on my home. the lien was done in 2012.

I was getting a cash out loan on my home when the bank told me Centex has a lien on my home from 2012. I only remember a class action sue which I sign a not to sue memorandum settlement agreement on 06-04-2012 and it was recorded on 10/25/2012. I had no knowledge of a lien on my house. the bank says they need a release letter from Centex before I can have a clear title for loan approval. can you help me achieve this? thank you Donald w. Lack of follow through

Still waiting for things to get done, I have put work orders into the system. I finally had to just contact the ac company myself regarding a leak and several missed connections with ovc pipe and air duct. Still waiting for sheet rock and paint.

My biggest complaint right now is that most of the stuff we marked on sign off day has not been completed. Andrew has told me he was gonna do something several times and has not followed through. I also tried to put some of the paint problems through the warranty department and they want to wait like 10 or 11 months to fix it. I understand that in that time period other things will pop up, but these are things that were already marked to be fixed. Also, some of the things we marked were removed and these were definitely issues that needed to be fixed. Honestly the whole experience had been bad from the beginning.

Roof leak

You need to set up authentic phone lines that actually handles cusyoners complaints; what you have now is a deceptive phone system that is designed to frustrate customers because no one will ever actually complete a phone call to your customer service reps. Regarding my case, I need to speak to your agents about a leak on my roof; call me at 510-305-**** Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. When you call, I will discuss the specifics of my claim.

My experience tells me it’s impossible to get basic information from this company.

Im trying to find out where Im the platt map they put my house. Ive called and emailed multiple times. No response. I would not ever buy a house from Centex snd would not knowingly buy a house built by them, the quality of the house I own is by no means great. A two-story house needs two HVAC units. We're unable to cool the upstairs without making the downstairs a freezer zone. I hate to think of the energy cost/waste because of this companys poor design or chintziness. The development is on a busy road but this company is too cheap to plant a suitable plant/tree barrier to protect homeowners.

Unable to get needed information about my house

I have a house that I need to find out how the houseplants on the lot. I'd like to plant some shrubs but don't know if I have room to do so. I called Centex multiple times. I emailed them or tried. I called the county deeds office in Jefferson County and cannot find out the information I need.

Unable to get information. I've been tying, unsuccessfully, to find out where my home sits on the lot. trying to find out how much, if any, property I have around the house to plant shrubs.

I've called repeatedly, to no avail, to speak someone at Centex. Ive tried emailing. I still do not know where the house sits on the tiny lot. I got plat maps from the deeds office but nothing shows where the house footprints.

Customer Care Management/Manager and CAC customer service staff ( Centex homes, national brand of PulteGroup, Inc. ) I am hoping that you respond to the email and let me know when is the schedule for the items that needed to be repair or replace. I am trusting your commitment for the HOME WARRANTY. I just closed on 2/28/22 and got my house keys on 3/01/22. Hoping not to see more issues.

Bad service

First of all your customers service number no longer works. Second you didn't come back and do the repairs to the house after 1 year. Third you Forced us to deal with a Shaddy home association. If I can get you to just deal with these problems than I will give you more.

Standing water in my yard

Regarding my complaint of March 3, 2021. I did get a response to my complaint. On Friday March 19 surveyors came to my home to investigate the cause of standing water. Oroblems with homes due to building

Have called several times in past about worsening cracking floors but service person thought it was fine. Is now through the entire center of the home. Also no electricity outside and have had electrician sent before and minimal water pressure in front bathroom

Broken Wooden fence and Retain Wall

I am Guna Paudel, one of the owners of Centex Homes of 2237 Bernese Lane, Fort Worth, TX 76131. Last Saturday evening around 8 PM, there was heavy storm with rain in my community. Due to storm/rain, the wooden fence and retain wall located on backyard of my property has broken, and Wall stones are moved out of location creating a threat for my family. This broken wall belongs to my Eastern side neighbor at 7501 Charbrary St. In fact, the fence and retain wall big stones are inclined towards my backward and is dangerous to stay at that area. Shoddy Work and Lack of Craftsmanship

House is less than 6 months old and it is falling apart at the seams. For starters, ceilings are cracked/or are cracking in every room, flooring is coming up in multiple places, joists are showing through the walls, nail pops everywhere, bowed out walls because they used nothing but the lowest quality materials, damaged but still installed cabinets, landscaping that was installed so poorly there were gaps of more than 1/2" between and is now filling in with weeds instead of grass. And, WHY THE *** ARE MY CEILINGS CRACKING AT LESS THAN 1 year?!? This isn't a 20 year old home, yet CENTEX could give two sh!ts. The only excuse CENTEX has is "the foundation is settling". We pointed out potential issues during the build and the Foremen could have cared less. At one point I grabbed a worker and had him fix a major electrical issue, all because the Foremen were going to let it just slide. This company is dangerous and could care less about you. After money changes hands and the warranty expires, you will never hear from them again. The only "warranty" that they produce and honor is the 1 year, which will only cover minor fixes (i.e. small painting, cracks etc.. they will not fix their crap work from the initial build.) The sad part is, this is a throw away home that at the 10-20 year mark will end up needing a bulldozer to remodel. We have had nothing but problems and DO NOT recommend anyone buys a CENTEX Home and will never purchase another.
