Worst Mortgage Servicer In the Nation!!

Worst Mortgage Servicing outfit in the United States, possibly the planet! No wonder they are operating under a consent decree from the Comptroller of the Currency! If the entity that provided your mortgage sells it or places it for serving with Cenlar, dump your mortgage and never do business with the entity that sold or placed it with these incompetent individuals! In addition to constantly providing inaccurate information, misapplying payments and horrible customer service, it has been three months since I paid off my mortgage and these crooks have still not refunded the escrow account amounts they agree they owe! Stay Far Away from this Not BBB Accredited entity repeatedly in trouble with Regulators!!

It won’t give me permission to access the Veyo driver app

Do not respond to their errors. They are quick to penalize you without checking their paperwork.

I have a recurring payment made and verified on line sent to Citibank then sends to cenlar. Cenlar sends verification of payment. The process begins begins with payment being made before the month ends could be 28th to 31 of previous month to pay month. Jan 3rd Cenlar sends thank you for payment received 1/03/23, 2/10/2023 thank you, 02/24/2023 thank you,03/27/2023/, I got no thank you for recurrimng payment paid to citibank sent 5/01/23.. I am handicapped and also have hearing problems. We (my wife and I) spent hours being switched to people at banks or on the line trying to convince us thank you's sent don"t exist and on line data sent doesn't exist. . your printed data showing payment from my bank to citibank that is blocked off from printing...aaaaahh. I took pictures of the data. I am out of country temporIarily. I have not ben late, I can back it up Penalyze me?

Worst Mortgage Company in the WORLD ......RUN Do Not WALK AWAY!!!!!

This company takes absolutely no responsibility for the mistakes they make. 1. They decided to take an escrow payment and apply to the principal, no authority. 2. Next they make duplicate insurance payments. Now the escrow has a 5K shortage due to their mistakes and inability to fix their screw ups they want me to pay the shortage or accept an increased mortgage. Total incompetence with this company, you never speak to a mgr and the reps have no authority to do anything. Every request is sent to a dark hole and you never receive response. My recourse is to make others aware of this demon seed of a company. And if your wondering I did not chose this company they purchased my loan and now I am stuck and have no way of getting out unless I refinance.

Terrible company to work with.

They keep adding fees which they have strange reasoning for - refuse to adjust and then keep on adding interest. Use bizarre terminology - and use that as their excuse for their fees! Have had nothing but problems with them since day one. Opened an equity line of credit with Citibank, and... they give the loan to Cenlar! no indication that Citibank was not administering the loan! Cenlar is Horrible - DO NOT get a loan from them.Do not ope

Unclaimed property

I received a letter stating that I was sent check number 762618 dated 10/14/2020 in the amount of $5,876.04 for overpayment of loan # 012285**** from AmeriHome Mortgage Company,LLC. I never received this check and am requesting that the check be sent to me at the following address: Rona J Hauptman and Marvin Irwin Goldberg 17001 Catalpa Court Derwood, MD 20855

Incompetency and lack of communications

My late brother's estate is undergoing probate in CA. Documents showing my sister as the court appointed administrator, death certificate were sent July 2021. To this date, CENLAR has not updated their records, reviewed my brother's account and does not acknowledge my sister as the administrator. Due to their incompetency and lack of customer service, the property is now in FORECLOSURE. My family and I are still grieving and facing this awful dilemma. H-E-L-P. DO NOT EVER USE CENLAR!!

Resolved: Paid in full and closed HELOC, 2 years later still will not release the lien.

They are the service for SSFCU. I had a HELOC in 2019 with SSFCU in July 2020 I paid off the loan and closed the HELOC. For almost 2 years I have been unable to get them to release the lien. They show it is closed and $0 balance (never late, always paid more than required). I have called, emailed, faxed and written them. SSFCU says I have to deal with Cenlar and Cenlar has done nothing! Yes, I even have a letter from SSFCU/Cenlar saying they are fully paid and the HELOC is closed. I have reported them for RESPA violations, and I am now being forced to engage with an attorney. They even told me they will not provide me with a copy of the release, they will only provide that to the county (it is a public record, and I actually have a legal right to the release copy). Till this is resolved my property is literally held hostage. I did what I was supposed to do and they refuse to do their part.

Escrow Account Calculated Incorrectly

We financed our home with Cenlar. Initially, Cenlar would regularly surprise us with some new calculation. For the last 1 1/2 years, things went smoothly until we received a bill for over $17,000 for Cenlar's error in calculating escrow required to pay property taxes. We thought that the escrow charged was somewhat inadwquate but never thought it was over $1,000 per month. It is incredible that Cenlar can consistently make errors -- sometimes large -- and continue to be Citi's loan servicing company. Citi used to do it themselves and we never had a problem but then Cenlar came along and it has always been difficult - contacting them is nearly impossible and, once on the line, there is little help.

Complaint about your non-cooperation to the closing my new mortgage

I am refinancing my Citibank mortgage with Cross Country Mortgage. Cenlar is the servicing agent. On October 4th, 2021 the Law firm representing CrossCountry (Gulotta Grabiner) requested your acknoledgement that you have available my Stock Certificate and Proprietary Lease originals in order to proceed to the new loan closing. To this date, December 4th 2021, your firm has not responded to their requests. This prevents the loan closing to take place. As I have URGENT medical matters to take care of in Paris, France asap. This create an extremely stressful situation for me. Please take this matter seriously and provide Gulotta Grabiner with the requested information, as soon as possible. Thank You. Luc De Clapiers
