NOW CALLED REVCO SOLUTIONS

I contacted them in a professional capacity as I work in the insurance industry and asked them their W9. If you are unfamiliar, it allows me to verify their tax information and make a payment to them, because it is reportable to the IRS. This is standard operating procedure and no personal information is exchanged. And there is no legal reason to deny the request. The first time they refused, yet gave me the information verbally, but it was wrong. When I called back they said they mailed the W9, but they didn't know where they mailed it to. When I spoke with a "supervisor", they gave me Emily. She refused to provide the information, refused to provide the W9. She refused to give a name of who she reports to and says there is no customer service department and nowhere to make a complaint, had no response to why other employees provided information. Emily, alleged supervisor, employee code EC3, hung up on me. The only explanation is total ignorance. I even asked her, "why would you not help me make a payment to your company?" Literally just blocking me from making a payment, which is their one job! And there is no other recourse.

Collections Scam!!!

I received a letter demanding payment of over $30,000 for a medical procedure that was covered by health insurance. At the time of the procedure I had dual coverage and would not have been liable for the charges. I have sent them a letter disputing the validity of the debt.

Collection for a nonexistant acct.

I was notified by cbc for an acct. that was nonexistent to the sum of 3,000. I had some medical bills with the acct. but they were paid. I was notified by cbc that the acct. was still ongoing with charges still due. Did not follow up on this and lost my money. I finally noticed something strange about them and called the acct. which I thought was still ongoing. They quickly let me know there was no charges due. Now, I have received another bill from cbc recently which is saying I owe $1.00 on. How are these people still in service

CBCS - put shortly SCAM ARTIST

CBCS, otherwise known as CBCS National, is a collection agency based out Columbus, Ohio. CBCS is a leader in the collection industry. They are known for illegally trying to collect on accounts that are out of the statute of limitations. They typically send letters stating that you owe them money. They will also call you by phone. Many times they are very rude and will even yell at consumers. At their website, they claim to specialize in health care collections, but they are also known to collect for telecommunication companies such as MCI WorldCom and Bell South. CBCS seems to be highly disorganized and usually has very little knowledge of the accounts they collect on. They are known to frequently mix up family member names and call the wrong homes and workplaces harassing people that don't even owe them money. If a CBCS employee ever calls you and asks you for personal information the best thing to do is ask them to quit calling and tell them you will handle the situation by mail. Never give them names of family members, work phone numbers, social security numbers, etc. Don't even tell them where you work. Debt collectors try to upset and intimidate consumers you into paying them money. They will also try to embarrass consumers and make them feel guilty - whatever it takes to get their money. When dealing with collection agencies like CBCS, it's best to be prepared. Learn your rights and get familiar with the Fait Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The FDCPA gives consumers the right to dispute and obtain validation of debt information from a collection agency to ensure accuracy. The FDCPA creates guidelines under which debt collectors may conduct business and eliminates abusive debt collection practices. It's also wise to get familiar with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and your state's debt collection laws. By being a wise and informed consumer you can fight back against debt collectors and their unlawful tactics.

CBCS - Debt Collection Review from Exeter, New Hampshire

CBCS a scam company!!! Got a letter today 2/25/2015 from CBCS saying i owe money from a former rental i moved out Nov 2012! Complete fraud. I moved out of rental in good standing-they had kept some deposit i believe for half months rent. This is the amount CBCS is trying to collect. I left former landlord my new address and they had my phone numbers. So no way this is legit. I also have checked my credit reports last few years. Makes me furious this company scamming people. Don t give them money!!!!

CBCS - Collection Calls Review from New Britain, Connecticut

This company calls every day. At the exact time that I'm in bed. I work second and third shifts. I've told them again and again I won't pick up because I'm asleep. Then when I call back, because of course they didn't leave a message, I get a recorded message saying that they are all busy. They are incredibly rude, will absolutely not work out a payment schedule and after reading all these reviews, I'll never pay them over the phone! It's a real check or nothing!

Incompetent collection/Doesn't read provided evidence

I send them new evidence and calculations to consider because I don't owe what they say I owe on the account. I outlined each step of the calculation and provided letters between me and the original company considering my debt.I gave them my income and explanation of what my actual debt is. They didn't even read it but send me back some old *** paper with old figures on it which are not correct and do not take into consideration all the developments on the account. Don't know what to do with these retards anymore. If you think they'll look at the numbers and collect the right amount of debt you're so wrong.

CBCS Calls - Can't Call back

I have been receiving calls that appear to be a local number. I had tried calling the number back before, but received a message that the number was disconneted or not in service. After several calls and no messages, I decided to answer and see who was calling. After waiting several seconds to be connected (please wait, this is an important matter and we are not a telemarketing company), I was simply told this is Cathy from CBCS who wanted to verify my social security number or address before telling me ANYTHING about what the matter regarded. I refused to verify any information. I asked that she verify who she was and what her company was about. She simply stated Cathy from CBCS. Since I was not familiar with the company, nor was I expecting any calls, I redused to provide any verifying information. After disconnecing, I tried to call back with the number used to connect me. I was again told that the number was "disconnected or not in service". They either need to stop calling, or stop using tactics that indicate that they are not legitimate.

CBCS debt collector

They call constantly looking for a person who DOES NOT live here. They say it is about debt collection. I don't owe anyone anything, and I have excellent credit. Why am I being harrassed for someone else's debt? I call back, but the recording says they are unable to answer my call at this time, please call back? MAKE IT STOP! I hope I am here to answer one of these soon. The problem is, I never know what phone number they will use.. ERRRR Why are they leaving information on my recorder about someone's debt anyway?

CBCS is a Junk Debt Collector

CBCS attacks people over the phone for debts they may or may not have owed. But, they also go after debt they've bought from creditors that are completely outside the Statute of Limitations (SOL). In the State of New York they have a time limit on what they can do to collect debt. 6 years for Legal Action and Wage Garnishment. And 7 years on that, plus reporting the debt to the credit bureaus. They will tell you that they know that the SOL has run out, but they still have the Right to hound you for the debt, which they do. But, once you tell the junk debt collectors to "Verify & Validate the Debt." Once you do, hang up the phone. They know where you live already. So they will send you a letter verifying and validating the debt. Look at the Last Date of Service on the debt. It doesn't matter how many times they "Cycled" the debt in their computers, which is also Illegal. The last date of service is when the clock stated ticking. If They never contacted you or your contacted them and made a payment in 7 years, who's fault is that? And if after 7 1/2 years you actually have taken the time to clear up your credit and nothing shows on your credit report and then suddenly The Wolves Gather at The Trough (you) for their lump of flesh, they are Junk Debt Collectors. Tell them to Verify & Validate the Debt and take it from there. If you don't, the harassing phone calls and letters will never stop. It's their job to be ***, so be a *** right back and call your lawyer and if the debt is outside the SOL, they will send the wolves a Cease and Desist order and you will more than likely never hear from them again. **One more thing: Never tell them that you "Don't Owe" them anything. Just say, "I want you to verify & validate the debt. You have my address, right? Well, I'll be watching my mailbox for it." They record EVERYTHING. Know the law and The Law will set you free. The banks got their Bail Outs. Now Bail yourself out.

SAD but true

I called this CBCS group just to get a letter sent AFTER paying ff an account with AT&T. A Mr. Phil Gray was VERY rude and told me they dont have time to fax or email ANYTHING to me stating my acct had been paid in full. This is now 45 days later that I've paid them. The reason I wanted this letter was b/c ANOTHER agency woke me up this morning attempting to collect on the SAME account. I am not sure what when or why but AT&T and the collection agencies need to get on the same page and stop this harrassment of people trying to rebuild their credit and pay off their old bills. God's Speed to all out there pursueing anything against the fools I suggest you only pay THE ORIGINAL company as they will not help you later once they've gotten your money.
