I paid off all my debt with my 401K quite a few years ago. But I do remember the name because I even paid them off over 5 years ago. I started anew and NIW THEY ARE COMING AFTER ME FOR COURT DAMAGES

I don't have any idea what company they are asking monies for. They NEVER HAD THAT INFORMATION! Who do they think I owe? I see that the BBB had some not so nice thoughts of this company. And also why did they wait all this time to come after me? This is preposterous, P. C.

False presentation of debt assumption

Calvary Recovery provided information to Transunion regarding a medical bill from a major Orlando area hospital. However, the company reported it had been contracted by the hospital as a debt collector when in fact, Calvary had acquired an old bill from 2014 through another debt collector Capio Partners. They failed to provide this information which allowed Calvary to imply it had a legal right to seek payment. I have contacted the BBB, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and begun my blog bomb about this incident of deception.

How can it be legal for Calvary to empty my bank accounts and my kids without notice? Even the IRS takes payments

Saturday I got a call at work from my daughter who is working full time and attending college, she informed me our accounts have been emptied. Since I work 16-20hrs days 7 days a week she called the bank they informed her of a number I would have to call for information. After talking to my ex who for the past 2 years I've been paying $200 a month to go towards our payment towards this debt since the collections wouldn't let me make online payments less than the minimum payment they were requesting and my ex was the one who inquired some of that debt, he informed me he never paid its not he's problem since the card was in my name. I left a message Saturday but no return call yet. How can this be legal to empty accounts? even the IRS takes payments! And to not notify us now we have no income to live on and no response from Calvary, this makes no sense. I would like someone to contact me at 360-790-**** or email heidischildcare3@***.com

Obtained Judgement beyond legal statute

Last payment to original creditor was December 2011, original creditor sold it to outside collectors and Cavalry obtained illegal judgement in 2018 when original creditor had already fell off national bureaus and numerous disputes and certified return receipt letters of dispute had been sent to them. Long story longer they put a lien on my property. Need a lawyer that has dealt with them before. Many complaints by pissed consumers for their illegal and unprofessional collection tactics.

They won judgement on me

Not sure which method they will be using to collect. Any way to know?

They got paid off now can't get my title

Always paid on time they got more than vehicle was worth. Paid them off,now can't get my lien release or title. Just continue to get excuses. Someone should have a class action suit . They take advantage of good people who are trying to do the right thing. Vultures! Have been calling for 6 months. Since they are the debt collector, they should have the title to the vehicles. They should pay me my money back that was collected illegally if they can't produce clear title. How many other people have been defrauded by this company. People get in trouble financially and Calvary buys the debt, but when you adhere to the contract and pay off the debt you get the runaround. They don't even know what's happening in their own lien release dept. where is their oversight? Just keep collecting money and doing nothing for the customer!

Failure to resolve their agreement

An offer was sent to Cavalry. The debt was approx 6500. They charged me with $23,136.45. I sent an offer and they sent me a letter of acceptance to release the lien and negative credit report. I certified a check in the agreed balance, plus sent it certified mail with return signature. Both returned signature and certified bank check cleared. They have not released the lien or said anything on my credit report. They are unacceptable to even be in a business. Collection companies who agree to terms then rip you off for the money should be put out of business asap.,.... The family attorney is going do what he can to get this right. But that costs money also. What a complete crooked business.....

Ambalance Chasers

About 1995 my wife wanted a used car and when she stopped paying, I paid the collection agency a hundred a month for years, got the amount down to 4000 and after hard time stop. I dealt with them one time and thought I was through with them. Yesterday they slapped a levy on my bank account that said the amount I owed was now 17,500. A lump sum payment from SDI was in my account for 11,000. If I cant get a lawyer, and use bankruptcy to stop them, me and my family will live on the street. Im sure they make a business out of buying the debt of many peoples, wait until the interest go up to the roof then they jump all in your business. I am 64 with my wife and two adult sons.

Why should one Manger dictate the amount to settle on.

Its hard for me to sit here and explain to you my discussion with Cavalry Services. I fell in to hard times mentally, physically and spiritually. {{Redacted}}. Well after four years I'm trying to get my life in order and fix my debt that I left behind. I owe $2,353 dollars and with me working part-time making ten dollars an hour, I offered to pay 1400 of it in a settle and they said no. They said 1800 and no lower. The sad part about that is, 7 months ago, another collector who had the same account sent me a letter saying I could settle at 700 but I was still getting help so I messed getting help from someone who cared. They are all about collecting money, they don't care about nothing else.

Lien placed on my home wasn't my debt.

I wanted to do a quick sale of my home. My home was solely in my name. I found that Cavalry Portfolio Services had placed a lien on my home. I contacted their legal department to inquire about the lien. Since the debt wasn't mine they refused to talk to me about it. I'm was in a catch 22 which caused my home to be foreclosed on. If I had the money I would have sued them. Best I can do right now is to sound off on this review. Bad Form, Bad Practices.
