I tried calling about insurance that other insurance companies say I have. But when I call to see who they are and what type of coverage I am suposse to have they either say I have the wrong number

When I call to see what kind of coverage I have they hang up, or they say I have the wrong number. Or they say they sell books. They have me down as having something of their medical or what ever I'm supposed to have but, the customer service like I said they hang up, say I have the wrong number, or they will say they sale books. They need to get that corrected.or put the right number out so people can get the help they need.

Never signed up for this insurance.

My precription coverage had been fine until these...people decided to invade in June. June! Apparently I've had them since 2015. Yeah, no. If they do cover prescriptions, I can't tell. One of mine was still $170.00. Oh and don't try contacting them. Every link and phone number is dead.

Catamaran Customer Care Review

When trying to check on order, was left on hold for 10+ minutes. Reps were very difficult to communicate with (English not their native language).

Catamaran Adderall Prescription Refill Review

My son gets 40mg adderal (no hes not a small child) He has OCD and ADHD. He needs this to function in school and at work. AdderalXr does not come in 40mg capsules. So therefore he has to take a 30 plus a 10. They could give him 2 20 mg pills but they assume hes just going to sell the 20mg pills . They also make me pay for 2 prescriptions! Not 1. The tens and the thirties!

Absolutely worthless company-Monkeys could do better

There have been nothing but problems dealing with them. They try to act professional but were never were told to LISTEN. Like some one wrote earlier, monkeys could do better! They go through the scripted message and at the end you come out super frustrated. They have lost Rx mailed to them and would not even try to find them. They have shipped wrong medications which we caught in time to avoid possible death. The new company Optum is the same folks - beware. Fortunately my company is switching away from them. Some of you may be stuck with them because your company is looking for cheap alternatives - good luck.

Catamaran - Prescription Refill Review

The absolute most difficult to work with, incompetent bunch of jack *** ever put together in one place. If you call be prepared to stay on hold no less than 30 minutes , that is if you ever get to the person you need to talk to. Trained monkeys could do a more satisfactory job. My son is on an ADHD medication that must be filled month to month, hos doctor does not authorize mail orders of thos medication. The company can't grasp that concept and has caused my son to miss medication doses due to them refusing to allow me to fill his medications. I have been trying to get this matter taken care of February of 2016. It is now November of 2016 and I'm still having to call every month wait on hold for 30 minutes to an hour only to have them override for one month claim that they will escalate this so that the solution will be more permanent. That never happens. The best thing that could happen is this company go bottoms up and quit causing they are customers so much stress and trouble.

Optumrx or CatamaranRx- Poorly managed - Poorly skilled

While not the first problem dealing with this firm and it's associate, it's the most negligent. We were recently charged twice, a duplicate charge, for only one prescription. Apparently, a "claim" was assigned. Quite arrogant that the customer need to call back after 72 hours since it's Catamaran's mistake. The charge still remains. Seems the CEO needs a good lesson in managing a business...should have never taken on growth if he couldn't handle the expansion. We shall see how well they pass this test. Perhaps it's time to seek a service provider that actually staffs with competency in mind at all levels of escalation and treats client satisfaction as job one.

Worst pharmacy

This is the worst speciality pharmacy we have EVER had to deal it. My husband has been on his anti rejection medications for 2 years now and it still takes them 40 minutes or more per call just to get a refill. If I had the choice, I would never go to them again. They should be a speciality pharmacy and transplant doctors always stressed that they do not want the pharmacies to change the manufacturer due to the very serious nature of these anti-rejection medications. Yet since I have had to use this pharmacy this last year (of course, insurance won't let me to continue with Amber pharmacy) I have been notified that they switched manufacturers twice. They never get the billing right either.

Catamaran - Customer Care Review from De Pere, Wisconsin

Company is a joke. No one in the company knows what the heck is going on. Been told that health insurance is responsible 4 the reason they are not covering my son's diabetic test strips. Talk to my insurance company and they said that it's catamaran that there is nothing that they can do talk to Catamaran and they say it's the insurance company I've got all the way to my benefits representative through my human resources department and they say catamaran is the one that should be fixing the situation because of the screw up on their end at this rate the company may end up losing a huge account because they don't know how to turn around and do their jobs . Second month that they are not covering it and it was supposed to be taken care of last month. So here I sit making a million phone calls and one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. My son is the one that has to suffer because they don't want to acknowledge the fact that they messed up the coverage. Been round and round that he doesn't need to be in the diabetic sense program. My Pharmacy and his test strips are both in the formulary. But they still continue to expect me to pay over $200 for something I've only been paying 40 because nobody can figure out why I'm not being allowed to pay my copay. Again another weekend that nothing can be done because nobody's in the office. All parties need to pull their heads out of their rear ends and get on the same page. Worst customer service ever.

Terrible Terrible Company

Since switching to Catamaran our family has not been able to afford at least two prescriptions. The last Rx company my husband's employer used was comparatively fabulous. Catamaran seems to take pride in covering the least amount possible for their clients. I truly do not understand why we are paying any money into this scam of insurance coverage. They are HORRIBLE. If you need to appeal coverage, your doctor has to submit in writing the reasoning and the Catamaran will not try to work with patients to get pre-approval for prescriptions. I actually felt bad for the customer rep I worked with over the phone because it seems their hands are tied to try to help in anyway.

Catamaran is The Worst Mail Order Company Out There

Sometimes we do not have a choice on our mail order pharmacy. Such is the case for me and I got saddled with Catamaran. They are horrible. They refused to send me the brand medication I needed because they said the brand wasn't on the prescription. It was. I called Optum RX to get the RX number and the customer service rep said the brand was on there. I've never worked with such an incompetent group of people in my life. the sent me the wrong medication and then called me a week later to ask if they had the correct address. What a mess. And if you ask for a manager, fear not, there aren't any there... ever. I think they hire people off the street for minimum wage and tell them to block whatever the consumer needs. Customer service is non-existent here. This company should be shut down.

Catamaran Prescription Refill Review from Albuquerque, New Mexico

My AFA insurance uses Catamaran. At first, I was pleased with the prices & services. But, I've taken for 19 years what is now determined to be by our government as a controlled substance pain reliever for the extremely painful version of MS that I have. Now, instead of a six-month supply automatically renewed, I can only receive a 30-day supply renewed each month, but only if I call for it first. And my doctor MUST mail, not fax, the inscription to them. 10 days to them, 10 days to process & fill, 10 days to mail to me. No automatic renewal. Oh! It's not quite time to renew the meds? Throw the prescription away. Don't tell the patient. Wash, rinse, repeat. Oh! Can't send to a PO Box any more (the only address I've ever had in 30 years) but to an unsecured street address to which no mail is EVER delivered. Oh! Need an emergency supply? Well, they'll hold the refill for the week, & then send it. By ground. Oh! You mean the doctor REALLY meant 2 tablets every 4 hours, every single day & you're not happy with our interpretation of the refill order? Oh! Call or email the patient to let you know ANYTHING? Why, when you can call, spend 20 minutes trying to get the automatic system to send you to a real live person, & then repeat all the information. Oh! And have a great day.
