Their only purpose in life is to take govt money and provide no service of value

doctor faxed order for medical equip to Florida Blue. Florida Blue uses CareCentrix, so they get the order CareCentrix does NOTHING with order When you finally get someone who can talk at CareCentrix, and you ask for status, you will get the answer "we tried to call you last week". Then they will push back on the order. You go to Medicare, you go to Florida Blue, you go to the doctor, all say CareCentrix is wrong. My best suggestion? If your insurance company uses this company to fulfill medicare orders, get another insurance company. I did.

Gotta be the absolute worst company in healthcare

you can't get them on the phone. your doctor faxes orders to Florida Blue and they send them to these folks. Carecentrix doesn't contact you, they don't process the order, they only take money from the govt. When you finally get them on the phone, it is always the same answer; "we called you a few days ago". About the only thing you can do here is file complaints with the insurance company, file complaints with Medicare and then when open enrollment gets here, drop Florida Blue and go with an insurance company who cares about their customers.

WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE

I'm reasonably sure No Surprises Act violations are a daily occurrence. This company fails to take any accountability with consumers. I am filing a formal complaint to investigate willful negligence in the state of Florida. These fools lied about pricing. In fact they refuse to give you a real firm quote for your cost, which is ridiculous. They worry that a vendor bills without them, but don't care that they wrongly bill members. We returned overpriced equipment with approval from Carecentrix and from the vendor yet we still recieve bills. I called, Carecentrix doesn't care says I have to contact their vendor that they contact with and have their vendor contact Carecentrix. If we go into collections I will bring about litigation on our behalf as well as for any other impacted members with similar mishandling. This company deserves to be fully shut down. Total incompetence. We bought the equipment from Amazon, took 2 days to get to us and our was cheaper, better quality and most importantly NO HEADACHE OF USING CARECENTRIX!! A total waste of a member benefit. I would rather receive a credit on my insurance for NEVER using Carecentrix. State and Federal investigation should take place for the massive fraud. Example my friend's mother was dying with cancer, Carecentrix was so terrible that the family went out of pocket to buy supplies than to deal with these billionaire fools. This is a juicy lawsuit just waiting to happen; actually they, Carecentrix, are begging someone to sue them. I hope one day to read about it.

Very questionable billing practices.

Carecentrix should be investigated. Is it a conflict of interest for blue cross to require patients to use Carecentrix? My billing statements are usually wrong, have to be reprocessed. Carecentrix has questionable billing practices.

Beware

I have done some research on the company CareCentrix. I found out that CareCentrix is a third-party billing company, hired by insurances, BlueCross BlueShield primarily, to review referrals, approve or disapprove referrals and claims, and to bill BC/BS clients (the patients) for services and supplies. Additionally, BC/BS and CareCentrix billing to patients is not based on actual cost, but on whatever CareCentrix deems Reasonable and Customary billing for the service or supply. What this means for the customer is that your Medical Insurance company (BC/BS) is paying another company to send you bills (you already pay for your insurance) at a greatly inflated rate, for medical services or supplies you are prescribed by your medical provider. Their accounting practices are poorly managed, and their accounts representatives are not held accountable for incorrect information they provide to their customers (the patients). They create multiple accounts for the same patients, for the same type of service, from the same provider. Here is my story. I received notification from a Collections agency that I had an outstanding balance in January 2021. I immediately called CareCentrix (thinking they were affiliated with the provider of these services/supplies) to clear this account. The representative offered me a 20% discount if I paid the entire balance at that time. I paid the entire balance and asked the representative if she was absolutely certain I did not have any additional outstanding owed, to which she assured me I did not. Fast forward to April 2021 I received a Collections letter for the same amount as the invoice I paid in January 2021. I immediately called CareCentrix for explanation the representative was not able to find this amount due at first, then was able to find it she said oh, I see where you paid this amount in January, I will refer this to my supervisor to get it corrected, my apologies, you do not owe this balance. I was assured this was not my responsibility. July 2021, I receive another collections letter I call CareCentrix again to now be told that I had two accounts and did indeed owe this amount. I questioned the customer service rep about how I had two accounts, and she replied that she didnt know. I attempted to explain what had happened during the previous calls, and she talked over me and said she had read the notes on the account. At this point, I had been on the phone for over an hour. I told her that I wanted to pay what ever amount I owed to get this cleared up, and that I had been previously told I did not owe this amount. She eventually transferred me to an Accounts Representative to take my payment over the phone. I was shocked when I was told that if I did not have a valid form of payment on record, CareCentrix would not approve or authorize any future supply or services for me. They plainly stated they will deny medical care based on what they deem is my ability to pay not what was medically necessary as prescribed by my Medical providers. I was told this by their Accounts Representative, who I assume is not a medical professional. I felt threatened by this statement. I need medical care and medical supply as prescribed by my BC/BS participating providers. I pay a monthly premium for BC/BS insurance to cover these costs. To be threatened that my medical care will be withheld because CareCentrix provided incorrect information to me regarding my account is not within what I would consider best business practices, very disappointing and very concerning. I followed up with the provider of these services who relayed additional horror stories, both personal and professional, related to their dealings with CareCentrix. I asked what the cost would be for me to self pay for the medical services/supplies I will need going forward. I was quoted a price that was less than half of what CareCentrix charged me for the same. CareCentrix needs official review of their billing practices, by their clients, and potentially Medicare and Insurance commission. Their inability to provide correct information to their patients, as well as the excessive mark up on the services and supplies is questionable. Denying medical care based upon what they deem is a patients ability to pay may not be illegal, but it is certainly not ethical.

Diana Sybal

To Diana Sybal , supervisor I would like to explain what a dedicated , professional and conscientious worker Diana Sybal is with resolving customer's issues and working with other companies (Apria) in getting everyone on board and working together to resolve the issue. At the beginning of the year I was supplied with breathing apparatus by Apria Healthcare. I was told by Florida Blue that it was fully covered under my insurance, but I received a bill for over $579.00 from Aprea 's demand payment . They told me it had been turned down by Care Centrix and I had to pay it. After trying to sort this out on my own and failing ,Diana Sybal got involved and eventually I got my money back. Diana Sybal was the only person who would help me. I would like to sincerely thank her and tell her supervisor what a wonderful worked Diana has done. Regards Gary Olyarchik Ret. Lack of response

I work in a physicians office who is trying to start home infusion services in an oncology patient. There is no response from CareCentrix for greater than 2 weeks. Unable to get a representative on the phone to help resolve the issue.

Deceptive practices

I got a call couple years ago from this company. I was happy to hear someone tell me that I could receive my diabetic supplies and not have to pay because EVERYTHING is expensive in the Virgin Islands. The rep told me I didn't have anything to worry about because she would send the prescription to my doctor who should approve it so that the insurance would cover the cost. Well, next thing I know....here comes the bills! Needless to say, I almost dropped to the ground!!! They did some auto renew but i never Steer ckear of these deceptive peopkeused any any of the products to this day opened or used any of the supplies. How

Overbilling ,Fraudulent charges poor business ethics

This company should be shut down. I returned a lympa press machine after 3 months because I was told that my insurance would pay for it as it was part of my recovery from surgery and a blood clot. Suddenly I start getting bills monthly for rent for the machine, at that point I returned the machine since I couldn't afford it. Now I am being charged for the entire machine ( I do have proof of the pump being returned) and now they are sending me to collections again for something I do not have. I understand they act as a third party billing for my insurance company and the manufacturer of the machine itself, however they make up the charges as they go along, I have spent HOURS talking to numerous personnel and they all point the finger at either the insurance company or manufacturer. I have asked for a supervisor numerous times and no one calls back or picks up the phone as they leave me on hold. It is so frustrating they can hold you hostage and you have no recourse.

Overcharged

From Sept 2020 to present I am being charged $130 per month for monitoring of a cpap machine that I no longer use. I am no longer under a doctors care and I no longer use the cpap machine. I asked them to stopped this service but I'm still being charged to what is now a balance of over $550

Billed My Insurance Incorrectly since 2018 and have been trying to get it corrected for 5 months....

I identified in October 2020 that Carecentrix was billing with an incorrect tax ID so my insurance company was recognizing the bills as a tier 1 provider...so I as the patient paid full price for 3 years. Now I have spent the last 5 months trying to get this corrected.....with no success.

Dealt with them for 2 years

They don't give credit to the correct accounts. I have had to call 8 times over the last year to get the credit for checks that I have sent them. Cigna was so disturbed with their practices, the are no longer on their list.

Inaccurate Billing

My husband was using a CPAP for a few months. It didnt do any good so we canceled the service. The machine was picked up in about an hour. We received two bills from their billing service. The first was for five months of monthly monitoring at $26.36 a month after insurance, totaling $131.80. This was paid promptly and in full in August. The second was for auto ship supplies for around $300. We returned the supplies to the vendor in the unopened box using their provided Fed Ex label. These were received by them August 24. We start receiving past due bills on both of these. Hmmm, that is strange. Turns out what the incompetent employee did was take our payment of $131.80 and post it to the $300 invoice?! Keep in mind that these are two SEPARATE billings. Who looks at the payment for $131.80 and sees that $131.80 was billed and puts it to the other billing?! Account numbers and invoice numbers on the payment. I attempted to call them many times at the phone number listed on the past due bills. If you can actually speak with a person you are transferred to what must be every person that works there. Their little brains cant seem to wrap their head around their mistake. All phone calls after that, which now occur monthly, have me waiting on hold for about 30 minutes then I have to leave a voicemail. They dont call back. So I finally got an email address when I called their corporate office, because of course no one at the corporate office could help. I send emails to the address provided. In this email I attached both billings, copies of the canceled check, copy of the Fed Ex receipt, phone number for the person who received back the supplies and said that all paperwork had been turned in showing there was a zero balance due on the supplies. I even talked them through how to do the journal entries to fix THEIR MISTAKE. I have also mailed hard copies of this to them three times. It is now December. They stopped billing us and are going to send us to collections. I am so done with this. I refuse to pay them in hopes when they get their act together they will reimburse us. If this is not fixed I will contact the Better Business Bureau, our doctor, the local CPAP service and our insurance company.
