Issues with services
We went in on 8/3/23 at 9 am and request to get our car fix with abs issues and while they,re at it asked them to change the headlight for us well it took two weeks for them to even work on the car just to not fix our issue we had to go back 4 time 2 of them was talking to them and today 08/04/23 claimed they found the problem rear left speed sensor wheel we ran codes on another device the same code popped up as left rear speed sensor fault and a can bus fault which they claimed they fixed the wheel speed sensor nope. Also with the head light it still didn't work they wanted to claim that it was a faulty wire we ended up getting time to change it and the headlight works and is still working still we went to the carx in granite city ILL. 62040

The manager didn't have a pleasant attitude. The parts are very expensive and the service. I don't think it was great and I may have to take it back.

Service performed on my car
The guy at the counter was very sarcastic and standoffish it seemed as though they were trying to rip customers out of money by upselling them...I came in for a front end wh3el alignment and they told me I need ball joints...and I just had them replaced

Mechanical incompetence
I took a 97 Mercedes-Benz with 69k original miles on it in for a brake light on. 20 + days and 900.00 dollars later i walk away with a new battery, new fuel pump, 2 brake lights on and the check engine light on. It has taken me well over a month to be calm enough to write this review. I would not recommend having a moped serviced at the carx at 175 w. Kemper rd cin. oh 45246. Never ever.

Bad service
Don't ever go to the Car X at 929326 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45251. I went there to get two front tires and some break pads for my back breaks. I was told I needed rotors and he up sold me for four tires..no big deal. I seen them take my tires off and then was informed that they didn't have the tires in stock..so I took my car to Walmart to get tires.. Walmart mechanic couldn't get the front tires off as Carx put the lug nuts on too tight. I took my car back to Carx and the manager refused to correct the problem that they caused. This place has a habit of doing this. lug nuts are not supposed to be put on a vehicle to the point where you can't get them off by hand with a crowbar. I had to take my vehicle to Firestone to get my tire lug nuts fixed. This place needs to be shut down.

Concern about use of foul language
I am just writing as a concerned customer at the OFallon Missouri location 3004 Highway K & N. This is the second time that I can recall that Ive sat here waiting for my car to get done that Ive heard foul language coming from the work area. I know all about shoptalk but when there are kids in the lobby And young ladies who do not want to hear that language it becomes a concern. The first time was just general conversation between workers but the second time was between a manager and a worker and someone was not happy. I have always gotten great service here and they have always treated me with respect at the counter. Maybe a review from the top is in order.

First they can't tell you how much a simple oil change is i ask them to please look it up on computer he got mad because i ask him this is the second chance i have given them the last time they had my car 3 days to change the horn so i went to see what was going on and the man did not even know why my car was there in the past i have spent thousands on my cars there but i think maybe it's time to say goodbye to car x for myself and family

Over charged
I took my car in for an oil change and after the service was done I paid my bill with my debit card which was double charged. When noticing the mistake, I was told by the assistant manager that I would be compensated for the mistake. So I called back at a later date to remind the assistant manager of the promise he made and he denied ever double charging me, and it wasn't him that did it. So I informed him that the receipt was in my vehicle, which was currently in the shop, and as soon as I get it back I'll be up there with the proof of the double charge. A month later, I showed up with my receipt and I was told he could not do anything for me. When I got upset and told him I will not let Car-X rob me, the manager, Lee Hubbard, told the assistant manager to bring him a business card. The manager signed the back of the business card and said I could only get half off a future service, and it could only be at the South Kingshighway location which I prefer to never go back to unless it's to pick up the monies they owe me....or to any Car-X ever again!

Poor quality work and worse customer service.
I took my car in for front brakes and after after spending $1,000 and pulling out of the lot, no brakes! I returned immediately and they attempted to bleed the air our of the brake lines, improved but not right. I returned to shop about 20 miles later to have them look at it again, They refused saying nothing was wrong, that I just wanted to complain. Are you freaking kidding me???? I will never, ever return to any Car-x

Awful Business ripoff!
Went in for tune up and oil change on 4/9 paid 1,600.00 so a week later broke down on 4/16... Took it back to carX and wait for them to fix it until 4/20 suggest me to give up and destroy my vehicle.. so I tow it over to AAA and they say there broken spark plug that cause me pay for fuel pressure regulator and fuel spider unit.. cost me another 2,0000 Why am I paying for these?! because of old broken spark play And I have bill here saying March 29 it was never there on March 29!!! It was on April 9th! This place such con artist scam!!!!

Can't get service for tires you buy from the establishment, even if you make an appointment.
I took my car to the shop 4 times for service . I made the appointment, but still was told I had to wait. Very unprofessional. They need more help 2 mechanics is not enough, in a shop that size.

My brakes was recommended 3mm brakes pads. Not 6mm brake pads
On July 18, 2020, I call in for a quote in Rich field Mn. I was told brakes and rotors was 399. For Ca pliers my vehicle have be inspected. My car was tow to car x and drop off. I call back the mechanic inform me my grand total was 1,000. I didn't have any other choice to leave my vehicle there. It was a weekend and it was hard to get a whole of tow truck again. I explain to the manager I just got my front brakes done I didn't pay that much at another auto repair shop, he asks me do you know the name of the parts they use on your front brakes I explain to him yes. He informs me he can't find the parts anywhere do to weekend. If I would to leave my vehicle there, and I will be charge me 600 dollars.he also informs me he will have to use the ones he has on hand. When everything was done. I pick up my vehicle up from Car X. A week later my brakes lights came on. I took my car to another auto repair shop. My vehicle is recommend 3 mm brakes pads not 6 mm due the vehicle I have. The mechanic insult 6 mm brakes pads for the rear at Car X. When I go down the hill making a turn my car feel like it's unbalanced, it feels like something wrong with the brake drums. I was told from a mechanic at another auto repair shop the brakes can wear and tear easily when it's not even and also your brake drums need to be repair at the rear of your vehicle also. I'm a female I was told some mechanic know that females doesn't know much about vehicles. I explain I'm not aggressive driver but I'm concern about my brakes drums as well. I will never recommend no one to this Car X car shop. Especially if they're driving a foreign car like me.
