Acct assistance and speak to live person.

I spoke with a rep months ago through chat your site regarding my account. I've been with Camp Gladiator over 4 years and receive discount rate through my employer Memorial Hermann. It was oversight for however I didn't feel the need to my account since I've been getting my discount. I happen check 6 months and notice the price increase. I reached back in March/April a inform one of your reps and questioned why I'm not getting my discount he stated it had expired? Which did not make sense since I'm still employed with Memorial Hemann and secondly why was I notified? Instead, the price has gone up twice. I need this corrective and feel I should reimburse or credited for the over charge for the last 3-4 months. I would like a call back today @ 832-368-**** as to how you will fix my account.

HORRIBLE Customer service!!!

For the past month Ive been trying to access my account to do on demand workouts. While Im still being charged but unable to access. Called numerous times. Today tried again was told hold time was 13 minutes - held 45 and then right at 5:00 (apparently closing time) the call disconnected disregarding those that had been holding. Chat feature on website does not work or come up. emailed only to get a message that emails are responded to and to call. Ridiculous and the worst customer experience. CG FIX YOUR WEBSITE SO CLIENTS CLAN LOG IN AND GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHAME ON YOU.

I want to cancel my member

I have a medical issue that has been happening for the past 8 months I have a doctor note and proof of the illness

Keep taking my money and will not let me cancel

I got a FREE trial from a coworker and signed up put my CC in since that is normal practice and then you call to cancel, right? Well, when I called to cancel they told me I was in a 9-month contract and when I told them I never signed a contract or anything they told me the only way I can cancel is with medical note. Then I called back after the 9-month term was over and they said I was in an 18-month contract when they were still charging me the account was now a 24-month contract when I cancelled the card after the 18-month contract they somehow had my banking acct information. Something is so fishy about this company it is a scam and they only want your money and refuse to give your money back. I am doing a 6-month chargeback and I am also contacting an attorney and will be contacing other Camp Gladiator reviewers that have been scammed to have them join my lawsuit as well

Watch for reoccurring fees.

Unbeknownst to me, I have been paying for CG for more than 1 year. I stopped going when my 6 months were up and I changed jobs (where all my CG emails were going) so I was not receiving any emails. My fault, I did not understand I needed to call and formally leave CG. Please be aware that when you are ready to quit you need to wait until your contract is up and you need to call and formally leave. I called and spoke to Joshua and was hoping CG would help me out and refund some of my money but I was mistaken. I even asked for a manager to call me back to see if I could at least get the money that was taken from my account 2 days ago but they wouldn't even do that. I spoke with Kristin the manager/supervisor, HOPELESS. Needless to say I will not be joining CG again and will make sure anyone I speak with about CG understands what it is they need to do to end their contract.

Consumer beware

Get Almost always, in just 3-4 months, I get a similar response--skeptical, wary or negative--from professionals in the fitness community (Wimberley/San Marcos) I have also witnessed people express there needs to be a ramp-up level for new and inexperienced members. There's a ton of pressure to join, and to sign long contract because it's the best value. Discounts were never revealed until I read the fine print, and then website is a failure, functionally, and by design. There is no regard for illness, or injury, leaving no options but to freeze accounts--which trainers do not explain about. There is no screening or programming for seniors, even those who are moderately healthy. Alternative exercises may not be helpful, if a person is injured or not able to coordinate his or her performance. Sessions are geared solely to HIT training, and I observed several seniors participate independent of the group, while others are urged to complete all the reps, again, with little regard for injuries or other age-related factors. There is very little information provided upon sign-up, about privacy and that the "camp" is really run from an office in Austin, and if there's supposed to be coordination with a trainer, none of this was ever in evidence. If you call, there's a long wait, or no one answers. I received a garbled, generic and dead-end response in a phone conversation about how to cancel. The website states cancellation only by phone, there is no email, and email from CG state donotreply. After obtaining a doctors' note about a torn meniscus and severe leg pain, I couldn't find the upload process, which I was advised by CG agent to find on the website. There is upload for employment verification, but to cancel, I had to wait until business hours to complete by chat. This was not expressed by the agent I spoke with on phone, which is supposed to be the way to cancel, according to the website. Catch-22. I called to speak with a billing or finance person, and I'm told there's only one contact number for the entire business. It was hard to have a professional conversation with a crying baby competing--how is this a legitimate business?

Sudden onset condition not enough to cancel membership

Original review Feb 23, 2023
Camp Gladiator's nutritional coaching contract discriminates against people with sudden onset illnesses compared to their BOLD contract. I joined Camp Gladiator's nutritional coaching in order to help improve my eating habits. Very recently I was diagnosed with a metabolic disease which required a strict diet that is being monitored by licensed healthcare professionals. Something I was not expecting, nor could I control. Seeing now that my diet is to now be monitored by healthcare professionals, I called Camp Gladiator and asked to end my nutritional coaching since I have a documented medical reason to not continue with their coaching. The customer service supervisor told me that, unlike their BOLD membership, their nutritional coaching program does not have a clause where a member can cancel their membership, even if they have a physician's letter stating the medical need to not continue. I have seven more monthly payments of $50 to make until my contract ends. Ultimately, I feel like I'm being financially penalized for my disease that I had no control over. While initially I considered myself a person of "good health," as stated in their contract, my health conditions have considerably changed within 4 months into my 12-month contract. I'm not a person in good health and no longer have a need for their paid services since I am being monitored by medical professionals due to my strict dietary restrictions. These are unfair business practices against individuals with onset medical conditions that were diagnosed AFTER they signed up. There NEEDS to be a way to end service for people with extenuating medical reasons, such as myself, since my nutritional needs are now beyond what CG can offer. A complaint with the BBB has been made regarding their lack of any cancellation policy of their nutritional program for individuals with onset medical conditions.

Cancelation due to medical reasons

Original review Feb 21, 2023
Camp gladiator's Customer service is definitely one of the WORST in the industry. I tore my ACL & MCL back in June 2022 and called them to "freeze" my membership (which they charged me a fee to do every month), until I knew what I was up against, medically speaking. I sent a letter, as requested, via fax in November to cancel my membership due to my doctor saying I could no longer participate with CG INDEFINITELY. I tried calling to confirm receipt and could never get through (which was the same problem I had when I wanted to freeze my account initially). Four months later, I noticed they were continuing to charge me, full membership! The person I finally spoke to over the phone was zero help and kept saying all problems need to be escalated to a manager, who they couldn't transfer me to and who doesn't call back for 1-2 days. Someone named Alyssa (Aly?), who apparently is the "TOP dog" because she said there was no one above her for me to speak with, called me back and was extremely condescending on why the letter from my doctor was unacceptable. They informed me that since the letter I sent had a date of July 1st on it, and it wasn't within 30 days of me sending it to them, they could not honor it and someone should have reached out to me explaining that. What an absolute joke! I asked if they wanted my medical records as well as the death certificate of my mother-in-law to show I was a bit preoccupied planning a funeral and attempting to rehab my knee. I asked her to send me a copy of where it stated the ridiculous policies she was spouting out and I received a screenshot that not one person would be able to read! They should be ashamed of how they handle scenarios such as this. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to STEER CLEAR!
