Camel blue packet issue

I bought a packet of camel blue. As these are my prefered cigarettes only to find the packet not able to open. I have been a loyal customer of the brand for about 15 years when it was still camel lights, and this has never happened. I broke multiple cigarettes trying to open the packet and crushed some of the filters on the others. I am very unhappy about this. Serial number on the box is JJB17B17

Sparkles in Camel blue - SERIOUS MATTER

Good day, my friend bought me blue camel on her trip from New Zeland back to the UK. Many of them had tiny sparkle inserted inside of single cigarette and went off the moment I lit it up. This is extremely serious and I shall be posting images on social media as well as contacting my own legal team. I took images for you your reference, however unable to attach them via this contact page. I expect you to come back to me at your earliest opportunity so I can share images. I will be seeking compensation as well as full refund once I get transaction details for the cartoon that was purchased. I look forward to your response shortly. Many thanks

Dissatisfied Customer

Dear Camel Customer Service, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the two cartons of Camel menthol cigarettes that I recently purchased. As a loyal customer for over 20 years, I expect fresh and high-quality products, but what I received fell far short of my expectations. Firstly, both cartons of cigarettes were stale and had old coupons from 2020 included inside. I found this to be extremely disappointing and a clear sign that Camel is not taking the quality of their products seriously. As a loyal customer, I would have expected better treatment. Additionally, I discovered traces of foreign substances inside the cigarette that looked like it came from a rodent. This is a serious health concern and is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I have the right to expect safe and uncontaminated products, and Camel has failed to deliver on this expectation. As a result of this experience, I am extremely upset and appalled. I believe that I should be compensated for this issue, as it has caused me significant distress and inconvenience. I urge Camel to take this issue seriously and take immediate action to rectify the situation. I expect a satisfactory resolution to this issue and hope that Camel will take steps to ensure that this type of situation does not happen again in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you soon. Sincerely, Dustin Minks

Complaint

Hi. I bought a packet of cigarettes (Camel White) this morning and one of the cigarettes didn't have a filter? I'm a big brand supporter of Camel. However if you look at the price of a packet this kind of incident is unacceptable.

Damaged Cigarettes

Hello I've been smoking camel activate fresh for years and I've bought a packed and had about 5 cigarettes with holes and had to throw it away. First time I've experienced this and I'm not happy about it. Thank you Fauziah

Damaged

I purchased a pack of Camel Mentol rush silvers over half the pack had tears in it. I can attach a picture if need be. Another time I purchased a pack that had pinholes in some of the cigarettes. I have only smoked this brand for several years and I am now deeply considering switching to Marlboro menthol. I just thought this should be brought to your attention so possibly could be corrected for future purchasers. Thank you

Camel Pack Labels and Design

Updated by user Jul 23, 2022
I have now switched to a different brand.

Original review Jun 23, 2022
Hello, my name is Travis, and I have been a Camel customer for many years now. This message is partially a suggestion, and partially a complaint, in regards to how Camel labels and packages cigarettes. My cigarette of choice is Camel Menthols. When I go to purchase cigarettes, it always a challenge to get the ones that I want. I tell the cashier, "I would Camel Menthols please" and they walk over and stare at the packs for a while before asking "Menthol Crush?" I nod, and they grab Menthol Crush Silver. I tell them I don't want the Silvers, just Menthol. They walk back over, and return with Camel Crush. I tell no, sorry, Menthol Crush, but not the Silvers. Do you see the problem? To complicate things even further, all of the packs look nearly identical, with very slight differences. So I can understand why the cashier has trouble grabbing the correct packs. It's hard enough for me to get the correct cigarettes when I personally go to purchase them, so if I have a friend or relative purchase some for me, it's basically a guarantee that they will not get the correct cigarettes. I have to tell someone, "Get me 2 packs of Camel Crush Menthols, not the Silvers or the basic Crush. It's the pack with the green letters, not the blue or white ones." It's overly, and unnecessarily, complicated. I get that the whole "Crush" thing is a big deal to Camel, but let's be honest, it's been years now. I think most customers know that Camel cigarettes have a little ball in the filter that you can crush. Why does it need to be included in the label for anything other than the basic Camel Crush cigarettes? I understand the importance of branding, but it shouldn't cause things to be more complicated. I can't even tell you the last time I actually crushed that little ball, it's been years. I don't care if the ball is there or not, it really makes no difference to me, but what I do care about, is being able to walk into a store, tell them what I want, and have the cashier easily grab the correct cigarettes the first time, without the hassle and confusion that is caused by the current packaging and labels of Camel cigarettes. This frustration has been going on for quite some time now, and I know I'm not the only customer to have this issue. Furthermore, the cashiers are also frustrated with this issue. Every time I walk into the store to buy cigarettes, I see that every other brand has very clear and distinct labels and packages for their products. If I were to say, "Can I get 2 packs of Marlboro Menthols please?" The cashier would walk over and quickly grab exactly what I asked for, without any frustration or confusion. At this point, I am seriously considering other brands, after countless years of being a Camel customer. I don't want to be "that guy" who holds up the line in a store just because it's a hassle to get what I want, especially when that avoided by simply choosing something that doesn't cause confusion for the cashier. I shouldn't have to give a detailed description of the pack, every time someone else is purchasing some for me, and then still have them bring the wrong ones. My suggestion, and my request to Camel is this: take it back to basics. Go ahead and put the little ball in the filter for every cigarette you make, that's fine. However, remove "Crush" from the label of every other pack except the basic Camel Crush. That alone would make things easier. Don't stop there though. Aside from just the labels, go ahead and design some packs that are distinctly different from one another. Rather than just changing the color of the lettering, maybe change the color of the entire pack, or a good portion of it. Basically, make it very easy for someone to walk into the store, and then walk out quickly with exactly what they wanted. Make it simple for all of the cashiers to grab what the customer asked for, the first time, without having to stand there and read the label on every single pack. I can't help but wonder if a Camel executive has every actually walked into a store and looked at the wall of cigarettes. They should, because if they did, they would be able to see how their competitors look in comparison to Camel. This is pretty basic, simple stuff I'm talking about here. It's already a pain in the *** to buy cigarettes, not to mention expensive. So don't complicate things with stupid labels that no one really cares about, and don't make it difficult for the customer to get what they want. That's bad business and doesn't make any sense. I'm hoping that Camel will figure it out and make things a little easier, because I don't want to change brands and start giving my money to someone else, but I absolutely will. Thank you for your time, I greatly appreciate it. Your loyal, yet wavering, customer Travis King

Defective Snus

Updated by user May 06, 2022
No acknowledgment of direct communications to company regarding product health safety defect in several production runs. No response.

Awful. Because of this, our larger Snus group had decided to revoke RJR’s status as a recommended vendor. No individuals will buy RJR products. >90 days Since we began contacting company.

Awaiting the absolute minimum courtesy of a reply. All purchases have been redirected to category e-commerce vendors not assorting RJR products.

Original review Mar 12, 2022
Hi friends, I have purchased and used 17 defective tins of Camel Snus large. The Snus in each of these tins broke open without any use of teeth or excessive oral pressure from tongue, suction, etc. Each time, the problem resulted in me swallowing substantial amounts of solid filler. I noticed that the regular sized packets maintained integrity. So, I purchase regular-sized Snus when possible. However, often times, only Large is available. And I have had to gamble and always lose on Large. I first noticed the defective product in early December. Across multiple flavors equally (frost, winterchill, etc). This problem has continued until even today. I disposed of the tins, some with unused product in it when I had a normal-sized Camel snus alternative on-hand. In addition, I eject torn product after only a few minutes of use. Far less than its intended lifecycle. I have had contacting CS on my to-do list for a long-time. It has reached a point that I am now seeking resolution. I sent images of broken used product. In most cases, it appears that the seam is opening. Sometimes after only 3 minutes. Despite no concurrent food, beverage or other. Would you please: 1) Let me know potentially increased health risks of swallowing ~1/4 of 170 retained large pouches across flavors? For example, is there a higher rate of stomach cancer associated with swallowing whole Snus solids in this volume? 2) Let me know on my resolution request? I purchased all tins at gas stations in central VA. While I have credit card bills to evidence the purchases, I do not have itemized receipts. Thanks
