Iced drinks but no iced tea

They make every possible combination of coffee imaginable, including iced coffee, etc. They make tea. They refused to make a cup of tea and then pour it over ice! I would pay for both an iced coffee and a tea so long as they held the coffee and just provided ice. But its not in the cash register program, so the barista cant do it. Madness!

Complaint

I had no contact with anyone and was unable to let them know what I experienced in store I was threatened by customer I was told I smell and I'm not welcome in the store and the manager who is Romanian had to speak to him and he was there again today and looked at me and realise that he stepped beyond the mark and I was not happy that this was allowed to happen and the management and staff knew that he was this kind of man and seem to think he could do anything he liked

Commend staff

Hi I was with my daughter in your Glades shopping centre branch in bromley kent this morning. The young barrista stopped the theft of sandwiches calmly and assertively. I think this should be recognised as not enough praise is given nowadays. I would also like to say the staff in this branch are always very friendly and helpful

Air conditioning issue

I am complaining about Café Nero Angel, Upper Street, N1 branch. The area where the coffee machine and dishwasher are can get really hot. Because of the heat produced by the coffee machine and the dishwasher. As a result, the staffs have to turn the air conditioner frequently, otherwise, they find it difficult to work in hot atmosphere. When they turn the AC on, they put it in high level so, very cold air blowing out which makes the room freezing. Most of the regular customers have been complaining about the issue so many times. In fact, I spoke to the head office 3 times. The head office team promised to pass the complaint to the area manager. However, nothing has been done. When we tell the staffs, they turn it off for a while, and then they turn it on back again. The company have to find a way to solve the issue as they have health and safety obligation to their staffs as wells as their customer. They should not be forced to work in hot area, and we should not be forced to seat in freezing condition. If they are not willing to find a solution, I will not be coming back.

Staff told customer to GET A LIFE

Yesterday the fat Barista in Caffe Nero earls court told me to 'Get a Life' after he made a mistake with my order. I asked for Salted caramel and he was adamant it's Caramel Shortbread. He didn't apologize. He flipped out and passed me on to his fearful colleague. I don't want any freebies from you Caffè Nero because I am so traumatized and will never ever return. I have it on video FYI. Will share it with Starbucks Costa Coffee for their staff training. If you don't believe me check your in store camera.

Lax service

Hi, ive been a Caffe Nero customer for about 2 years, (after switching from Costa Coffee) i visit Caffe Nero about 5 times a week, they hardly ever get my order right, and often give me less change than is due, today for instance i ordered an espresso & caramel frappe creme, (takeaway) it was served in the wrong cup and it had gingerbread instead of caramel in it, they are too busy to put right mistakes but happy to take your money, unfortunately the gingerbread wasn't compatable with my allergies and i was ill, this is so frustrating as Caffe Nero serve the best coffee, its their staff who need more training, its putting people off going there.

6/8/2022 - unprofessional barista next to Shepherds Bush Central Station

On Saturday 6th August at approximately 14.55 pm I entered your establishment and waited for approx: 3 mins before being seen by an asian-caucasian, female looking Barista, around early 20s, with long dark brown/black hair. I ordered an oatmilk mocha frappe + tiramisu slice I paid at 14.57pm and was still waiting around at 15.05/15.10pm for my order. First of all, the female Barista that served me was so busy speaking to her friend/friends standing behind me (whilst there was a long queue of at least 10 people waiting to be served) then to her black, female colleague within the kitchen section where they make the the frappés, that she actually made my drink with Cow's milk when I specifically asked for oatmilk. I am lactose intolerant - with asthma and other health conditions. Too mich dairy gives me cramps, then either diarrhoea or constipation. It also aggravates my asthma to the point of severe wheezing and bad asthma attacks. After I calmly asked her if my drink was being made with oatmilk, she made a visible "uh oh face" - eyes wide, eyebrows up, corners of the mouth dropped and then replied woth "don't worry". Scuttled back into the kitchen. Tried to style out pouring the contents of what she had put together in the plastic jug to blitz with the ice - doen the sink. I could hear it all being tipped down thw sink. If she had shut her mouth for a bit and had focused on thw task in hand - she would have got it right the first time. Then when she did finally make it, she handed it to me with a huge blob of dairy whipped cream on the top without actually consulting with me about whether or not I wanted it on my oatmilk frappe. Yet again repeating the same mess up she had done before because she was too busy thinking about getting back to chatting to her friends. When I leaned on, obviously pissed off at this point, I said, in an pissed off tone, calmy (no swearing etc. Involved), "At tip for next time, if someone asks for an oatmilk frappé you ask yhem firsr before dumping a load of dairy whipped cream ontop of it". I walked out pissed off then realized she hadn't given me my tiramisu so had to go back in. I said "You havent given me my tiramisu". Her: "Well I was about to. If you hadn't stormed off I would have given it to you". "I said you're too busy talking to your friends" Her: "I wasn't. I'm trying to do job". Then she started insuating thar I was causing a scene, being incredibly sarcasting and swearing in front of the customers. The conversation was an overlap and I told her I was going to report her. There was no apology or remorse for messing up my order again. Nothing. She could have made me really sick. I then had to dump half the frappé (the bit with the creme) down the drain. If this is how she behaves when someone calls her out on her bs/lack of professionalism, how many people is potentially posioning by serving thwm products that they have allergies/intolerences to? I am also mystery shopper and had your store been my assignment - you wpuld have gotten 0s and minuses across the board. She maybe the reason why you end up going out of business due to being sued. I am absolutely disgusted and have no intention in using that particular branch and have been advising everyone I know NOT to go in there. Best wishes OS

Infestation

I sm writing to make an official complaint. This morning,, at 10 a.m., I visited the Caffè Nero at: 30 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9HA I went downstairs to have my coffee and croissant. Within minutes, literally dozens of flies had descended on my coffee and food. There was clearly an infestation problem and other customers I spoke to in my immediate vicinity were also very distressed for the same reason. I went upstairs to complain. The employee behind the counter did not apologise but explained he was aware of the problem and pointed to 2 men, explaining they were trying to resolve things. I stated that it is improper and dangerous to continue to welcome customers and direct them downstairs given the recognised problem with infestation. He did not acknowledge this and again stated - sharply - that the problem was being looked at. I asked for a refund which he did give me, but his manner was disapproving - as if I was taking liberties (rather than pointing out a serious environmental health concern) As I was talking, customers were still being allowed to use the downstairs area. I had to go straight home and have a shower and put my clothes in the wash, as the experience made me feel nauseous, dirty and itchy. Consequently, my visit to Caffè Nero disrupted my planned day off. The way I was treated by your staff was discourteous, unprofessional and wrong and has caused me a great deal of distress.
