The exuberant cost for digital photos.

Its that time of the year where youre seniors taking their photos I bring my child and I pay the fee for just the session and after the session then Im taken into a room and given the pricing $899 for a digital package no other digital package options meaning you cannot choose which photo you want which you dont and create a package basically à la cart its all or none for $900 I think that is extremely excessive! I think it puts the consumer at a disadvantage for one of the most memorable milestones in their childrens life. It would be more palatable if there were packages designed for prints as well as digital meaning if you only wanted 10 digital prints, then you would pay $100 for those 10 digital prints that you chose opposed to the all or none option that they offer!

Total ripoff

Dont do it!!! CADY is a total ripoff!! They overcharge by hundreds of dollars!! They said they could correct a small makeup issue with our chosen images- them called back after I spent 600+ dollars for 18 sheets and said it would be $200 more to have the pictures fixed. Total crap!!! Save your money. Go to a professional and get digital copies. You can get quality prints for about $5 a page.

Stay away from CADY at all costs

The absolute worst company to deal with for yearbook portraits. I was misdirected and lied to multiple times. I directly asked if there was a yearbook only option and was told no, that I had to choose a session. I was charged a $29 session fee for a yearbook photo that was supposed to be free according to the high school. Also, check the terms and conditions you must agree to. The terms as initially shown gave the studio full rights to do anything with your child's photo, at any time, for any purpose. This is directly listed in the terms of service agreement. a) To copyright the same in the photographer's name or any other name that he/she may select; b) to use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs, in any medium now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, advertising and trade. I hereby release and discharge Cady Studios from all and any claims and demands ensuing from or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel and invasion of privacy. This authorization and release shall inure to the benefit of the legal representatives. licensees and assigns of Cady Studios. I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents hereof. I represent that I am the parent and/or guardian of the below named model. For value received, I hereby consent to the foregoing on his/her behalf. I asked the studio if there was a way to get just a yearbook photo taken without agreeing to these terms. They said there was not a way and the terms must be agreed to. I informed the high school of the overreach. The high school looked into the issue and a day later the terms changed as the listed terms were for modeling clients, not students. How was this not realized when I directly asked about the terms for a senior yearbook picture? Look as the online reviews and the BBB... This company earns their low rating.

Prices are ridiculous

Cadys prices are ridiculous! They want you to pay almost $200 for about 4 pictures of 1 pose. Then, if you want the portfolio, you have to pay an additional $179.00. Why not allow parents to buy only the portfolio if they chose to? Straight robbery! Its crazy that parents wait for this moment and sometimes opt not to get their childs senior pictures because of their prices.

CADY! is the Absolute WORST!

CADY is the Absolute WORST! they basically try to rob parents blind. They play on parents because its very emtional for you having your child about to leave the nest. They seperate the packages and hold the cap and gown pictures HOSTAGE! so you have to pay additional and buy them seperate. Do not believe the GOOD REVIEWS! becaus they are reviews from employees. You should definitely schedule an appiontment with photographer and get quality pictures because these are overpriced and subpar. They even show you untouched pictures and try to chanrge you additonally to removed blemishes,DISGUSTING! but don't trust me. See for yourself just hold on to your credit card. Because if you don't they will charge for already returned items on time and argue. So glad I went elsewhere and got beautiful pictures for half the price. The schools should be ashamed allowing this company to rob parents for YEARS! just read the comments on other sites.CADY!C

Upset about senior pictures

I paid a ridiculous amount for senior pictures that didnt even include a cap & gown picture and now they want $60 for 1 8x10. Its absolute disgusting that they get away with this.

Dissatisfied

The prices for senior photos is insane!.. over $200 for 6 pictures & 1 pose is disgraceful. Hope the school districts are getting a cut of the price charged or it is price gouging at best & robbery at its worst. The overall process is designed to maximize bilking families & leave no alternative to the parents/family to capture a memory other than private studio, which in all honesty might be more reasonable.

Incompetent staff

I just received my 4th attempt to get my sons school pictures and this order was wrong just like the others I received from CADY. I don't know why it's so difficult to print a picture with a simple name and year on it, but apparently the people at CADY studios can't seem to do it. I really don't know why our school continues to do business with them.

Another unhappy customer (really unhappy)

This "organization" took my sons school photo. 1. His glasses were in the middle of his eye! What a rookie mistake. 2. I asked for touchup service, that never happened. Ripped off again. 3. Digital files were 1MB and less. When asked about it, they said they were 300DPI. They have no idea what that means. 4. Called them out on this, tough luck for me. 5. Asked for refund, told too bad.

Bad quality/resolution of digital images

CADY is contracted with my daughter's high school to take school pictures. I bought a package that included digital download. They uploaded pictures into my CADY account. There were 9 images (the same pose, but different background). The quality of pictures is awful. The resolution of each picture is just 96 DPI, and the size is less than 500 Kb. That is unacceptable quality for the pictures taken by a professional studio. They are not iPhone pictures. The pictures were taken by a photographer from a professional studio with a professional equipment. I contacted CADY and complained about it. They created a ticket, but then closed it without solving a problem. I contacted again and asked to escalate it. They promised their management will call me within 24-48 hours. One week passed by, management didn't call. I contacted CADY again asking for the update. They said my ticket is still waiting in the queue to be looked at. I asked to escalate again. It has been a month with no resolution. I'm very disappointed with CADY. Such a reputable studio (which we used before with no issues), provides such unprofessional service and not even willing to resolve the issue. I'm going to contact a credit company to file a dispute over the transaction for my order with CADY. Also I am going to file BBB complaint if the issue is not resolved.

Unsolicited sales tactics

Send you (school pics) items and expect you to buy them. I never ordered anything. Customer service sucks so I found the CEO cell number: Josh Cady (770) 714-**** 2038

Didn’t Receive Pics!!!

I unfortunately cant & wont give Cady a positive review. I received my sons picture from someone that shouldnt have had access to my childs pictures. A woman I know texted me & said I have your sons pictures. I was lost because her kids go to a school in Decatur Ga & my son attends a school in Fairburn Ga. Ironically, we know each other & have each others number & she sent me a screen shot that she received saying it was her child. But it wasnt. Yes! This upset me because NOONE should be receiving my kid pictures/information BUT ME! I have no idea how that happened or why that happened. Our kids dont even attend the same school! Someone dropped the ball. I dont appreciate it. I dont wont ANYONE but me receiving anything about my child with out MY consent or permission. So you all are just sending children pictures & information out to random people.

Highway robbery

BEWARE! Cady Studios is going to nickel and dime the *** out of you. Paid for Artist Touch Up when I purchased the Sitting Fee, then received a portfolio with all my sons pictures that I had no idea I was getting, then when I go to order, they want to charge you an additional fee called Artist RETOUCH. I told the gal they were just nickel and diming the *** out of us people and she said, "I agree." The portfolio is a sales tactic, like holding a bone in front of a dog. They want you to spend $400 to KEEP the portfolio or you have to send it back. When I tried to retrieve the shipping label to send it back it said to go to the portfolio tab, which I could never find, so I called and waited for almost an hour to speak with someone. When she finally came on the phone, rather than tell me where the tab was, she said she would just email me the label. Then she said Id have to call back when I shipped it!!! First of all, I shouldnt have to ship anything back cause I didn't ask for it!!! And second, NOT happy with this place and they are outrageously expensive.

Website is rigged to force you into ordering add-ons

Original review Sep 12, 2022
Im trying to buy a small $36 dollar package for our juniors school pictures and while using a laptop, not a phone, the add ons for additional items, such as a parent bundle and adding your childs name on the bottom of the picture, are relentless. It will not let you by pass those options. When I call the company to inquire about the glitch, the robooperator says there is an hour long waithmmm, dont think so! I will not be using Cady Studios ever again. Not to mention the disaster of doing senior photos there last year with another child. Way to go Cady! Youre deterring potential customers with your online gimmicks of forcing people to spend more money on pictures that usually dont turn out well anyways. You should make the online ordering process simple and not force people into the unnecessary add ons!
