Having issues.

See recommendations to customers in the future. Issue is supposed to be under warranty, I'm paying over $2000 for the warranty and should not have to pay any cost for warranty covered issues. This is very frustrating to customers on limited incomes. The customer service should not charge for warranty issues. That's why you PAY for the warranty

Sold me a lemon!!!

Sold me a lemon just last January car is continuously falling apart each and every time its fixed as early as 3 months after I bought it. I havent even really driven it around just to work! I keep pleading for help with it and the GM keeps giving me the run around! In need of immense help theyre robbing me blind for a car that they know isnt good! Its a saftey hazard at this point IT STOPS AT RED LIGHTS OR ANYTIME I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP ITS DANGEROUS AND EMBARRASSING!!! Just to name some of the work I recently had done THIS SUMMER starting with my alternator electrical brake issues ECM,TCM and reprogramming the car, the fuse on my battery blew, mass air flow temp sensor and coolant temp sensor, and now my PCM (same as ecm Im being told by dealer) is shot they diagnosed my car just last week saying the 2 sensors I listed above was the reason my car wasnt starting and when it chose to I would drive close and it starts shutting off on me at red lights or anytime I came to a stop!!! turns out its the pcm so on top of trying to charge me $575 ( i got the sensors fixed at a family friends shop) they diagnosed the car wrong and its my pcm they want to fix it BUT SAYING ITS NOT WARRANTED AFTER I JUST GOT THE SAME THING FIXED THE STARTING OF THE SUMMER UNDER WARRANTY. When I bought the car the check engine light was on but they told me that it was a faulty sensor and when we drove the car it worked fine but recently as I asked about the sensor theyre confessing something must be wrong with the engine (duh!) but they are not making any haste to do anything about it I cannot make it back and forth to work and I keep getting promised something would be done and NOTHING they expect me to still pay for a car that barley starts!!! I pay bi weekly and on top of insurance I cant do it anymore I bought the car at 117 thousand miles and have only driven it 127 thousand miles with just 60 miles left under warranty that doesnt help most of the time. I need immense help calling cooperate doesnt help the issues on this car are beyond serious and they claim to not have a car to put me in until my car is fixed. Honestly I am beyond tired of dealing with this dangerous car and I just want to be compensated and for the car to be discarded no one deserves a car like that and I mean NOONE.

Byrider Sherwood Ar .Has to be the worst ever and I really hope that people will listen and not let them do what they have done to me . Normally they take my payment out themselves well they didnt this month I do t know why but on the 7 they came to repo I said no my payment is made the driver got very rude and even got in his truck tried to hit my car and being awful and I was as clear as I could be . You are not taking my car I have to have it here were are 75 miles from the hospital I dont know why it here but I will take care of it but u have to leave my property now. He did finally and then they locked my account so I couldnt make payment demanded I come down there I was very ill with headache for days . I ended up not going long story short we had to go to childrens hospital yesterday morning my grandson had appointments all day after the first one we came out to car and went to get something to drink my husband went in and he came back out we saw a red wrecker backing up toward us I said I need to go he is trying to hook up our car we did an he came after us we went to a police station and he left I called Byrider and she ended up taking my payment over phone and she did say I still owed $123 I think an I was gona stop and pay it when we left hospital and she said she was calling and telling the repo man to leave . By then I had to go back in for-more appt.We were there till after 4:30 the lady even called to ask if I was still there an I told her yes I am we will be there soon as we get done and when I went out I saw the wrecker in the parking lot hooked to my car and not only that but he had cut all 4 of my tires and called the police to force my husband out of car . We are 75 miles from home with a handicapped child who has severe medical conditions . They took my car with his oxygen his food diapers and his medicine . They took my money 3 hours before that $417 . My daughter called them an tried to pay the hundred they still wanted but they said no . What if Something had happened and we needed his oxygen or his meds. He is tube fed and on a special diet so I couldnt give him anything he had to wait over 6 hours to he fed an his meds were 3 hours late we had to wait till someone could come get us .I am still in shock that another human being could do something so awful to a child . I have made every payment on car since April 2021 . I was like 2 days late maybe twice and I called in April an told them I was gona be late this month an they ok that is for calling just make it soon as you can . The 18 I paid half and the rest a couple weeks an I made my May payment and the the June an I thought July was made till the 7 of July anyway it was made on the 13 of July and my car was also repossessed on the 13 . And we were ordered out of car with a handicapped child who cant be in the heat or he has to have his oxygen and my payment had been made except for $15 dollars . I was humiliated and they put my child in grave danger for what ??? I attached copies of all my payments look at them and decide for yourself why they did what they did to us !

Help me understand my contract and why I still owe the original balance after I voluntarily surrendered my vehicle. Jan 26, 2019 I stopped the payments on the 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA and decided to return the vehicle to the lender willingly because the dealer voided my warranty rights. The vehicle was still in the warranty, and JD byrider refused to fix the issues with the car under the warranty. The engine was defective with knocking noises and smoke coming out the engine which caused the vehicle to go completely disabled. I reported this to JD Byrider mechanics, and I payed to tow to their shop and they said it was the starter. Even though I explained to them exactly what happened. They wanted me to come out of my pocket to pay for something that wasnt even the issue. So I voluntarily surrendered the vehicle. They never sent me anything in the mail about how much my balance was going to be or deficiency I had to find out through my credit score. I know that I am supposed to pay a deficiency balance and I was prepared to. In my contract, interest are not supposed to be applied if I voluntarily surrender due to engine issues that should have been applied in warranty. But if they want to keep arguing that I wasnt in my warranty, what about the vehicle insurance that I was paying through the company? They didnt report it even though I asked for them to. They did not inspect correctly or recondition the car as requested and they dont have receipts or invoice if they did. I requested the dealer send a new contract that highlights the mistaken areas and gives a full explanation as to the reason for the changes. Also, a vehicle history report to prove any inspections made or issues with the vehicle. J.D. Byrider return policy in plain language. If you bought a used car from J.D. Byrider, you may be able to return it, but youll have to contact the dealership for details. If something is wrong with the car and its under warranty, you can also look into your states lemon laws. If the car fails to pass a safety inspection test immediately after purchase. The Hyundai Sonata 2011 vehicle engine failure within warranty so i returned it but they sent it to collections. I tried to look up this vehicles history on carfax, and there is no history on the vehicle as of today in 2023. How can that be true if I took it to the mechanic and had oil changes as well? When I got the vehicle it had over 30 recalls on that specific model and they didnt give me a complete history when I bought the vehicle. Predatory lending plays a big part in this contract and CNAC impossd unfair, deceptive, or abusive loan terms on me. 54 month term 23% interest rate plus principal fees which put me at risk of negative equity. JD BYRIDER is a BuyHerePayHere dealership and BHPH dont rely on credit, but on income. At the time I was making $11 an hour full-time bi-weekly pay which accumulated roughly a total of 11,440 a year. Take away my bills from my income, phone, gas, light, rent and childcare, I definitely could not afford this vehicle & byrider representatives didnt work to fit my budget as they promised. The sales representative manually completed the application for me & I am requesting the paperwork/ income that was put on the application to compare results of how CNAC came up with my total loan budget. The principal was extremely larger than the loan itself. Interest rates as higher than 20% were offered on car loans for 2011 Hyundai Sonata priced at more than double their retail value in 2019. I have had my car less than 2 months ! I am very upset!

Good Morning, My name is Tiara. I recently purchase a Ford Fusion from the Byrider on East Dundee and I have had it less than two months. Within the time that I have had this car I had taken it back to the dealership as total of maybe 2-3 times with the same issue. First the engine was bad and the car stopped working in the middle of the street. Then I took it in and waited over two weeks for it to be returned to me. While dealing with an attitude within the company due to something I did NOT do. I was told that I could lfyt around or get a rental but I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET for on top of being expected to pay my bi-weekly car note. Which is absolutely ridiculous. Next I get the car back only to find out another issue has occurred (coils, sparks and miss fires.) I take my car back into the shop. They have the car for two days. I was then told ok your car should be fine now. Then I had to return it again for the same DAMN issue. Now yesterday I go to my car and its make the same damn noise and at this point I am absolutely pissed! I pay my car on time if not early every single time. I NEED TO TALK TO someone asap! This is getting ridiculous! I want a different car or something needs to be done. I cant even enjoy my car with the fear that its still not working properly. I want my all of my money back the 3 car notes I have paid and the down payment. I am looking to seek a lawyer because I am sick of this! Please get back to me ASAP! I am suppose to be going of town and I do not feel SAFE IN my own car! Please respond or I will continue to try every email! I am very upset and I do NOT deserve this! I have provide videos on two different occasions. Im extremely exhausted! Tiara.

Car broke down

Yes I bought a car and the engine blew up they don't tow your car they don't give you a rental car and it's gonna take them 2 weeks to even fix it and they still want you to make your car payments but no car no work no money tell me how's that gonna happen for them nice try wrong guy feed up from Ohio

Extra Fees not told to us (supposedly in a 2 hour video...)

This company charges you extra fees they do not tell you except perhaps in a very long video instead of speaking to you about the fees. So later they can say it was in the video. We knew we were paying out the nose, husband had some credit issues cause was out of work. But they really do not help the person going through tough times. If this is you...I recommend Drivetime as they are very upfront with everything and have much better cars at better rates.

RUN !!!!!!! AWAY

If i could give this place 0 i would. I have been through 2 cars in the past 2 years each car i drive it for a month and it breaks down.. they are so busy fixing everyones car that it takes weeks months for them to get your car seen. This place offers no rental assistance nor any solution as to why they have my car every other month. Im not the only one multiple times Ive came and talked to several different customers who unfortunately have the same issue. I have 3 kids and my 4 year old is more reliable than their cars. I bought a car from here thinking my hard work has paid off and every month since i signed the contract the car is messed up. Every birthday holiday and vacation me and my kids have been in the house because of their cars! I wake up in a nightmare everyday since getting a car! My savings is gone! RUN !!! DO NOT GET A CAR FROM here unless you want to be like me and pay for a car you cant even keep more than 60 days outta 2 years . TRASH COMPANY TRASH SERVICE

Byrider game me a horrible car and is trying to make me pay for it

I got a car from them 2014 ford escape loved the car.not even three months in my car started to break down from brakes to struts to two transmissions and yet my car is still unsafe to drive I'm not being taken seriously so I'm going to the next step I will be heard.im loosing work my car is jerking going fast on its own and each time they work on my car it gets worse I have all recipts.. and videos of what my car sounds like so now I'm taking to social media.

Got treated poorly

I can't believe that I made all my payments for 15 months straight the car does not start when it's cold so they took the car to try to fix it and he told me I couldn't get a loaner because I wasn't current on my bill current $280 I didn't gave these people over $9,000 for a car this worth $9,000 and I still owe $7,000 more that's not the problem the problem is $280 and I can't get a loaner car

Not accurately reporting

Purchased our vehicle 11/2021 and when we purchased another vehicle 11/2022 the car company we went and checked credit just to unfortunately inform us that JD BYRIDER and CNAC have not been reporting our payments to the credit companies! When called the customer service representative stated theyll investigate and contact me back in a week, contact me in a WEEK! This is not how things should be ran, what we thought would help our credit is now doing nothing do to their poor precessional adequate.

Quick to reply and start the remedy of the situation

We spent the day at the dealer lot, finally were able to complete the appointment and drove off the lot, roughly 15 minutes before they closed. We drove the vehicle about 40-50 miles towards home, and the transmission started overheating and the oil light came on. We ended up driving back to the lot, and had to leave the car,, since they were not open on Sunday. I got a call from the service department early Monday morning, to let me know that they were going to take a look at it. I got another call from the service manager,I believe, letting me know that the transmission was blown and we went over our options. As of today, they are taking care of the rental car, and putting in a new transmission. After that,they are going to get the vehicle to us, as we live in N. Carolina and purchased from a Kentucky lot. So far, I am happy with the way it is being taken seriously and handled!!!

Nothing's been fixed as of yet because they don't have loaner cars I can't miss anymore work they want me to leave my car overnight and the following day which they usually take 2 days to get it back to me and that's two days I can't afford to take off of work they...

I went in to have service done on my vehicle because it was choking it stated per the exam it needed a new catalytic converter also have the tip them changed received the vehicle back only to have it do the same thing that it was doing when I took it in I called talked to the female at the service center she stated I needed to bring the vehicle back in I took it in we are now into two weeks of losing work only to be told that sensor and plugs had to be changed so I went ahead I did that to only have my vehicle continue to do the same thing I waited till the check engine light came on as instructed by rod the service manager I have called him three times now since the light has come on to not receive a call back at any given point in time I am now due for an oil change inspection and my car is ready to die because it is surging and you can see the light surging when it surges I am not happy this has been an ongoing thing for the last 2 months I want my vehicle fixed and I want it fixed right and I don't feel like I should have to put another Penny into it you should also offer a vehicle to drive while your vehicle is in the service center so people don't lose out on work or have to use an Uber considering I live in Greensburg and have to drive 30 minutes to or more to get to the service center someone needs to call me back ASAP at 845-200-**** I have also noticed that there is a dent on the passenger side wheel well that was not there before I took it into the shop

I have attempted to reach out for an opportunity to cure. Dear: Account Manager and CFO, There has been a material breach in our contract. I am requesting the title to my vehicle free of lien, return of my down payment, and all other payments made under this contract. I am requesting that you cancel our contract and return what rightfully belongs to me immediately. On the day of 9/30/2021 I signed a contract to purchase 2012 KIA SPORTAGE KNDPBCA24C726**** at the price of $18,641.97 in which was paid in full. The collateral that you have repossessed and plan to auction is my personal belongings in which your company does not have my consent to use multiple unknown third-party companies, disclosing my personal information. This is a violation of code 15 U.S.C. § 6802 obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information. You failed to provide proper disclosure of my right to rescind this contract protected under code 15 U.S.C. § 1635 (h) of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act by harassing me regarding this debt. You also failed to provide insurance premiums which is to be included in the finance charge protected under code 15 U.S.C. § 1605 (c) Charges or premiums for insurance, written in connection with any consumer credit transaction, shall be included in the finance charge. I hereby exercise my right to rescind this contact, for you have broken multiple promises in our agreement. Such conduct from your company has caused me to suffer severe humiliation and embarrassment, emotional distress, and physical discomfort. I demand that you return my belongings, all payments made totaling to $3,635.68 within (15 days) from the date of this notice. If you fail to resolve or return my belongings within 15 days of this notice, I will have no choice but to take appropriate legal action against your company.
