No Truck at Reserved Location

I've rented trucks from Budget Truck every year since 2017, to include earlier this year. However, when I went to pick up a truck for a recent rental, the location had no record of my reservation. I found out later that Budget Truck had changed the location and pick-up date without even telling me! On top of that, they charged me a $75 no-show fee, which they later refunded. Unfortunately, Budget Truck can no longer be relied upon.

Rent truck

Unable to find a local Jacksonville Florida phone number that actually was Budget truck rental. 10 numbers listed on google are no longer Budget truck rental. Did they go out of business? Not even a national number worked.

*** DO NOT USE *** THEY RENT BROKEN, UNSAFE TRUCKS. Rented a cargo van in Phoenix AZ, in Flagstaff AZ had to have two front tires changed ( Unsafe ), then on Oklahoma City called roadside asst and found out the ball joint was bad and the van was extremely unsafe. There were zero vans in OK city to swap out. We needed to get a Penske truck to complete the move. Roadside service was not helpful either was Customer service despite dozens of call for help from us to them.

Does Not Honor Reservations!! Worst Disgusting Customer Service Ever!!

This company is complete trash!!! I get a call from Budget not even a day and a half before we're supposed to move from Minnesota to Wisconsin to tell me that the truck I reserved 2 weeks prior isn't available!! What?!? I asked the guy who called me to help me find another truck and he told me to call customer service. Really?! I called customer service and they said all they could do is make a request to the Inventory Manager. Seriously?! The inventory manager named Sergio was beyond unprofessional and insulting and when I asked for his employee number he canceled my reservation without my authorization and pretty much told me to go figure it out. Called numerous times before being connected to a supervisor who justified the actions of the inventory manager!!! Not one person I spoke to even tried to help me with the issue. I was forced to stop working for the day just so I could find another truck rental that cost me a lot more because of last-minute reservations. Disgusting people that work for Budget. Disgusting customer service!!! Disgusting company!!!

Refund

Truck broke down and it took them 6 hours to get us off the side of the road. Then since it took so long they couldnt get us a replacement truck until the next day. Terrible customer service

Hello, This is LAC Transportation llc. My reference number is 000054689****. I am emailing you after talking to Melissa with an employee number of 37949. This is in regards the compensation Im asking for, for the bill from the Johnsons Heavy Towing, INC of $1,924.00 on August 27th, 2022 Saturday. I was broken down because of the DEF of the truck, in the middle of the road for almost 24 hours without eating or drinking anything, because I called budget towing company since 8 AM Saturday morning until almost 8pm and NEVER got the towing truck to my location. I have proof of 39 calls back-and-forth between myself and Budgets towing since 8am on Saturday the 27. All lies were said to me the whole time. All these they told me We are 1 hr away We will be there in 40 mints, etcetera they kept saying the same thing the whole time until 7:30pm that I decided to call the police because I was in dangerous and inhumane conditions in the middle of the road without any food or water nearby, since 8am. The police then, thankfully, called Johnsons Heavy towing to pick us up and we were finally able to get home at almost 9pm on Saturday the 27th. I also had to cancel my next load with Amazon because we were still abandoned in the middle of the road (I have also proof of that). Let me explain what happens when a load is canceled with Amazon relay; i loose money, time, My efficiency and acceptance score decreases along with my job opportunities. The next day, Sunday 28th, we went to Black Canyon Rentals with the manager Roy, and Roy himself called Budgets towing services to know what happened with the tow that was supposed to pick me up, and they said We havent picked him up. Roy cancelled the service because luckily and thanks to the police we were already home and there. If it wasnt because the police called us a towing company, I would still have been out there in the middle of the road on Sunday morning, probably almost dying of hunger and thirst. Also, in one of the conversations I had with road side assistance costumer service was that Budget recommended to rent a hotel room, when they clearly know we are NOT allowed to leave the truck abandoned in the middle of the road. And thats another reason why we couldnt leave anywhere and kept waiting for the towing company to come our way. But all Budget did was lie to us over and over and over. Really Budget Company should be grateful we did not abandoned the truck. We returned the truck, Im not renting with budget anymore, and the reason why is because of all the lies and terrible service not even offered or done the job by Budget and its towing company. Once again, Im looking to get compensated for the amount we had to spend with the towing company the police called for us, for the amount of $1,924.00. Truck was horrible

Rented the truck and loaded up the truck and the next morning when we opened it on a rainy morning there were leaks in the roof soaking all that was in it. Nobody cared. We had to drive 20 minutes to switch trucks and reload and when we got there they said we had to top off the gas tank. Really! The have a junky truck and we had to top off the tank. Horrible company. Rent their trucks at your own risk.

Commercial account

For about two months now I've been trying to set up an commercial account just to get the run around. Every time I call I'll keep getting transfered to a different department. I was promised a phone call from the correct department and never received a call from anyone. The emails stopped getting an response to. I'm paying double insurance with my insurance and with budget.

Wrong credit card charges

I rented a truck from San Jose, CA to Midway City, CA and was charged $671 on my credit card and was told that my $150 deposit would be returned from that, however the amount has not changed on my card to note the return of the deposit and I have been charged an additional $140 on my card. The truck was returned in the same condition, on time with a full tank of gas. Can I get this fixed?

The worst experience I have ever had with a rental

The truck broke down at 8:30am on my way to return it. Long story short, one person showed up to fix it at 4:30pm, didn't have the right tools. Finally someone else came back, fixed it at 6:00pm. It is now past drop off time. One customer service agent says go here...we go here - closed...another agent says - go here- closed. At this point it is 8:30pm. I park the truck in the driveway as instructed with the keys. The charged me for an extra day when it was their fault. I am taking them to small claims. They should not even be in business. Disgusting!

Horrible truck rental

I have called on this issue on 2 previous occasions. I asked for a return call and / or email, so I could get some type of resolution, and have not received any type of answer. Our rental truck was very unsafe, my husband drove it from P A to Ohio. The truck alignment was off, and it veered to the right, everytime a car passed it felt like we were going to veer off the road. Of Course there was a storm and the cab leaked onto my husband head. The windshield had a huge crack. We were very desperate at the time for a truck and had no choice but to drive it! Had no idea when we booked it online it was going to be so horrible!!!

Refund for fees

We rented a 16' truck and the check engine light came on within the 1st hour we left the place where we got the truck however we called Road assistance they didn't come out until 2 days later to check the truck and it And we got charged for those days on top of whatever else and we were told they were gonna come get the truck and then we were told that we had to take the truck back but that was all I've said and done for days or had to add went by and charging us almost nearly a $1000 $775 When he talked to us everyday and he knew about the truck that we rented that it had was having problems but he still charged his full price and didn't give us back any discounts for anything or anything like that it was a lemon truck pretty much faulty equipment
