Customer service

I ordered a stock and I did not get what I ordered. I sent them pictures of the stock and they sent return labels to ship it back. I did not get a sorry or estimated time my new stock would arrive. I will say the stock they sent me was beautiful and we'll made , just not what I ordered. I feel like they were upset with me that they messed up. It's been 2 weeks and I still have not received a shipment date for my original order. I feel that I should have been high on the priority list but this one is taking longer than the 1st. Im not one to normally complain and I understand accidents happen but I don't make alot of money and spent more than I should have on this stock. I just feel that I should have my order .

Over a month, still no shipment confirmation yet

Placed order over a month ago, it has far exceeded their 7-10 business days production days timeline. Customer service phone number is a joke, good luck trying to reach a person there. Left voicemail. Most emails went unresponded to. Had to FB message, text via their website chatbox, to get a response. Responses were false promises (will provide order status in 48 hours, will ship out by end of the week), both timelines they gave themselves, they did not meet... Worst part is, whenever it ships, I bet I will have to do some altercations on my end to make it fit after all this waiting. I don't get the hype behind them.

Received my gunstock butt stock had issues workmanship

Talked to customer service they sent me an email stating they want pictures of my issues of the Butt stock , I sent the pictures and they emailed me back stating they were going to take the stock back, I called them to confirm the young lady from customer service stated as soon as I send it back to them they were going to send me a new one, crossing my fingers quality control looks at it before sending, thanks customer service.

Barracuda stock handle

I ORDERED THE BARRACUDA STOCK FOR M 10/22. THE WEBSITE SAID NOTHING ABOUT WHAT HAND SIZE WAS ON VARIOUS STOCK. I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE STOCK HANDLE WAS FOR LITTLE HANDS. I CALLED THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM, AND THE ANSWER WAS RETURN OR LIVE WITH IT. I THINK THE STAFF IS MAKING DECISION INSTEAD OF THE OWNERS. ANY CNC MACHINE CODE CAN BE CHANGED TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS FOR PRODUCING A LARGER HANDLE THAT WOULD SERVICE MORE PEOPLE. I LIKE THE FEATURES OF THE STOCK, BUT I WILL HAVE TO SHAVE OFF THE ROLL OUT ON THE HANDLE END PIECE AND ADD 1/2 IN OF WALNUT END CAP TO MAKE THE STOCK FIT MY HANDS WHICH ARE MED.

Ordered a stock for a birthday present and I ordered checkering along with the stock, and it was not done. I called them, and they said I have too choices. One would to be live with the stock, and they will credit me the checkering price, and another would be to send it back for checking and go through another wait period. I want a refund, I said. Well after some red tape and all they have had the stock near a week and still no credit on my card. There is only one impression, the first one.

Trigger guard didn't fit

Ordered a stock for a tikka t1x at-one stock. I got it about 2 weeks later. The bolt for the swing swivel was too short and trigger guard didn't fit. I emailed them and no reply. I called them and after some difficulty got someone and told them. I sent pictures and 3 days later got a reply for more pictures. I sent them pictures with measurements. On the area of the trigger guard where the mag is, the inletting was 1.5mm too narrow. I ended up sanding the area, so it fits and getting a longer bolt from a hardware store. Maybe the metal trigger guard fits the boyd stocks??? According to what I understand, they have a example gun that may not be the same as yours and will require fitting or they are using a t3x stock that will interchange, but isn't the same. I have 2 other stocks for ruger american rimflre rifles, one was perfect fitting(but barrel was rubbing the stock, not something uncommon) and other the mag rubs alittle and doesn't drop right out(not a big deal)

M14 handguard

I can't believe it takes almost a month to get an M14 handguard. Rude customer service. They talk down to you. And like I said a small piece of wood like a handguard shouldn't take almost a freaking month. I ordered a full stock off opticsplanet, a Boyd's stock, and I'll have that before I'll have a handguard. Pissed off customer! Will not buy from them again.

Faulty stock- Thompson Center 270 Venture

The stock is a little under three years old and obviously outside the Boyd warranty. The rifle has had less than 40 rounds through it since owned. The magazine will not stay in stock when fired. Boyd's sent me a new front catch for the magazine, but the issue is with the back of the magazine, where there is no catch. The magazine will not stay secured when the rifle is fired. I called and spoke with customer service but with little to no satisfaction, they offered me a 10% discount on another stock. While I understand it is out of warranty, Boyd's has the ability to do the right thing and replace the stock but refused. I would have even accepted a percent discount that was comparable to the issue. Stock is beautiful, but now useless.

Don’t waste your money!

I ordered a stock for my 300 win mag the magazine didnt fit it, screws didnt align and the magazine lock is loose. I tried calling their customer service several times no one ever answers or returns my calls. I rate this as a zero! Dont waste your money!

Review

I've got a 6mm Remington model 600 Remington I inherited from my dad, I always used it when we hunted together it's an outstanding rifle that once belonged to my uncle that had short arms so he shortened the stock. The at-one caught my eye so I ordered it and am quite pleased. It's really comfortable a and made a good rifle even better. Had to do some miner trimming around the safety and just in front off where the mag fits in but no biggy. Thanks for a fine stock.

Cancelled Order

I placed an order on a Monday. On Thursday of the same week the order was cancelled. Talk about poor customer service. This the last time i will buy a stock from here.

Spike camp Boyd stock finally came quality????

I ordered the Boyd's stock on May 9 waited 10 business days before I called on order status. Could not get anyone to answer to phone on the customer service line. Called again on June 2. Finally got someone to answer the phone. Stock showed up at my house 5 days later. Stock looks great but magazine well is too tight. The magazine would not lock in. Had to use a Dremel tool to open up magazine well to work properly.

Managemet screw up

I order my 4 the stock from Boyd's on 3rd of May. from the web site. Dis not receive a email confirmation on my order. Called Boyd's on the 10th, they sent me email confirmation. Called Boyd's on the 3 of June, to check status of order.. The young lady said the stock would be out early next week. (What happened to 7 to 10 days turn around time???) I received the stock today (nearly 5 weeks after I ordered it), Again I was not sent a email telling the stock had shipped. I will not be ordering any more stocks from Boyd's!!! after this sad performance!!!

Poor Craftsmanship

Ordered a spikecamp stock. arrived and the box was in perfect condition so I know it left the original location with these issues. foreend is cracked. inside the stock where the grooves have been machined out there were burrs and excess wood shavings still attached. the mag catch wasn't all the way installed but not because someone didn't take the time to install it but because the stock wasn't cut out correctly to fit the design. it wouldn't allow the piece to fully seat until the burrs and excess millings were filed down and then it still wasn't an easy task. and to top it off they applied "paper sticker" alert instructions to the outside of the gunstock. talk about a mess. tried getting them off was left with sticky residue and an hour worth of gently trying to remove the left behind paper and glue. plus to add to the Crack in the forearm I can't end this without mentioning all the Knicks and hit spots all over the stock. this was my first purchase from them and I guarantee it was my last as well. quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail go a long way in my book and this product lacks alot of all 3 of them. "2 thumbs down"
