Capabilities not as advertised on website.

We are an 8(a) certified company out west performing due diligence on Bold Concepts Inc as a potential consultant for our growing needs. Here is what we discovered thru online and offline back channel sources. *Erratic Client Growth**We were looking for a consultant to assist with sustainable and rapid growth, however after checking out contract awards on federal websites, we find the assistance erratic and revenue have actually declined with Bold Concepts Inc's client. Though growth in prior years was admirable, the lack of resilient bounce in revenues after COVID was deeply disturbing. Imagine the personnel adjustments after a ramp DOWN from $50 million to barely noticeable contract awards. ** Potential Conflicts of Interest** Additionally if Bold Concepts were to have multiple clients in the same region, we had questions of conflicts of interest in their support process, since Bold Concepts has limited "Business Development " personnel. A service company is as good and reliable as its personnel. Here we find Bold Concepts due diligence of their own personnel, severely lacking. We have a process and team oriented culture focused on growth and is always on the lookout for quality personnel . Having at times to competitively bid federal contracts, we place a high premium on quality and integrity of our personnel resumes. ** Problems with Key Personnel resumes** We have a team member that was with a very successful Construction Company in San Diego who distinctly pointed out that a key personnel at Bold Concepts has omitted a tenure with this firm in San Diego. Given that the skill of this person did not fit this company, a " ME Inc" and "carry a dagger with a smile", is not consistent with the corporate culture, the San Diego firm offered a polite and professional exit out of the San Diego are. The fact that this tenure was not on Bold Concepts personnel is disturbing in itself, and makes us wonder why? Compound this fact that the resume reads like an "attendance record" vs contributions and accomplishments in decades of lateral career moves, reinforces the concern about a "ME INC" mindset that we will not allow to infect our growth company. It also reflects a lack of pride in any accomplishments and the team is questioning any ability of this individual to develop a capture strategy and support proposal development, and win rate. Given that we are looking for consultants that can help us create sustainable ramps, present and execute projects for our clients professionally with validated capture strategies, we find Bold Concepts severely lacking in credibility and ability to execute. We encourage early phase 8(a) certified companies focused on government contracts to consider their options and do their homework before hiring any consultants.

Does Bold Concepts keep its clients "small and dependent" ?

Bold concepts claim to help small 8(a) Federal contractors win construction contracts and help their client grow in the process. This is an excellent, noble and worth mission. The execution, transparency and accountability of Bold Concepts however leave much to be desired. The actual experience however is very different. Bold concepts are staffed by employees with a "clock punching" mentality. NONE of the employees we have encountered have a single entrepreneurial bone in their body. Infrastructure support is dependent on Bold concepts when in reality we just need set up assistance. Bold Concepts regional business development "managers" have questionable loyalty, depth of experience. These business development managers seem to have built in conflicting loyalties as they cultivate federal client relationships, but for who? Are Bold Concepts Business Development managers cultivating federal clients on behalf of their private clients? OR are these Bold Concept business development managers cultivating federal clients for their own personal and career aspirations, peddling " Or I know this and that" but where are the contracts? Bold concepts need transparency and accountability throughout the organization. Business development managers are "panhandlers" hiding behind clients 8(a) certifications to further their own career interests. Want proof? Look into how much time and contracts they have won for clients, tenure of their engagement, why Bold concepts after multiple years of existence is a small company still, why is that? Are Bold Concepts business development managers too busy renting out their Air BnB's, attending government shindigs ( on whose behalf?), and playing GOLF out in the desert vs helping their customers grow in capabilities and federal client diversification? Please do your due diligence and ask penetrating questions of Bold Concepts Business development personnel, their past track records and "titles" have to be supported by tangible, relevant and sustainable outcomes relative to client goals and needs. How does a small company like Bold Concepts help their clients? IF Bold Concepts, and their personnel and capabilities were that good and relevant, how does this company stay so small? Becareful who you let in from Bold Concepts and the help they offer. WE prefer a company assisting us that is growing as well, and that the business development personnel represent us ethically and responsibly and delivers results we paid for!! 1 success story with a native american company does not a company make !
