IRA epic failure
I am an existing IRA account customer. I have been trying for over a month to transfer funds from another bank to BMO. I have submitted forms twice and they were lost. I have been blatantly lied to on the phone, and placed on hold for over 1/2 an hour before the line automatically dropped. I have not spoken to anyone with a clue how IRAs work.

Poor customer service handled in Third World countries
I filed a complaint with BBB. BMO's answer is "because of privacy concerns, we are not answering the complaint". BMO could have addressed the settlement offer that is not covered by "privacy"I did not pay the minimum due on June 5th statement. My Fico score is over 780. I have not been late for a credit card payment for at least 10 years. On June 8th, my husband was taken to the hospital having a stroke. I overlooked this payment. Every credit card that I know of, email you notices about statement availability, payment due date and probably also for delinquent payment. BMO did not send any email to me. I called the customer service today, talked to an individual who made me repeat 4 times the bank's routing and checking account numbers for payment. I was born in Kansas City, I have a bachelor degree and I am very articulate. He could not copy them right after repeating them 4 times. I had to make a payment via the website. Horrible customer service
Get this: They want you to go to a notary and sign a form to "authenticate" yourself before they will even talk to you about your account. Even after your account is already open, and you've been using it over a year.

HORRIBLE SERVICE
I opened a credit card with BMO. I called the number they gave me in a letter to cancel the balance transfer. I spoke with 4 different agents and no one helped me! One put me on hold and never came back. The others kept transferring me to other departments! Really? this is beyond unacceptable. I think I will cancel the card as well.

Personal checkbook s
My statement of 4/12/23 showed a $92.00 difference between my total correct workl and the banks. Three people confirmed my work was correct. My statement of 5/12/23 showed a difference of $90.00. The bank manager at the Burnville branch said three people had checked it and they could do nothing about it. I just have to live with it. I am considering closing my account.

No help from customer service this place doesn't deserve to be open they continuously hold people money from them which is not the purpose of "bank." Will not do business with them EVER again!!! No way to resolve disputes after 7 pm or on weekends.

Question about not honoring a check Q
I have renters insurance with State Farm and you didnt honor the check I gave them. I also dont like the barrier of questions you ask me to answer. Its taken more than a minute, while it would a few seconds if you just let my call go through. Quite inefficient!

I was harrassed by your entire latin staff including security, that won't accept my birth certi, state id and social security card or tax forms to open a bank account. They told me to leave and that I was homeless and we don't want you here and don't come back.

Fraudulent Check Being Deposited
After depositing a $2000 check into my BMO Harris account, the check was approved and the money was in my account within two days. The check I deposited was to be used to purchase art supplies from a wholesaler. After purchasing the art supplies, I received a call from BMO, days after the money was put into my account, telling me that the checks were fraudulent and that my bank account would have to be closed due to entering a negative amount. The bank put the money into my account from the deposited check, the full $2000, only to call me days later to tell me the check was fake and that the $2000 would be taken out of my account. Frankly, this is ridiculous and Im shocked that BMO Harris wouldnt take more care in ensuring that checks are real before transferring money into accounts.This is completely irresponsible of the bank and Im shocked that so little care is taken in these instances. It also ensures that I wont be banking with BMO Harris again, especially since Im a minor who had their account closed with all their money earned from work in it.

I called to set up a second 2nd account and got some guy from the Philippines! He said he couldn't set me up either a 2nd account and didn't give me a reason why!! Stop putting your customer service in foreign countries where they don't even know how to set up a American checking account. Keep your customer service in the U.S! I asked to speak to someone in the United States, couldn't do that either They dont know anything about American money like another does! I went online to your bank site and found a link and was able to set up the 2nd checking account myself!
