My issue is not with the specific hospital we went to - they were wonderful. Corperate is a totally different story

I tried to find phone contact info on their website - ended up (on the phone) at one of their clinics. I tried their chat feature. Pearl Wilson, Expert's Assistant Welcome! How can I help with your question? You when and how can I call and get a live person at the main office - non-medical issue? Pearl Wilson, Expert's Assistantjust I'll do all I can to help. Can you tell me more about what's going on? You sorry - it ate my typing Pearl Wilson, Expert's Assistant Is there anything else the Expert should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you. You i am trying to get up with anyone who can deal with your staff in customer outreach. I cannot believe it is company policy to send out an email for a survey/drawing for clients with a pet being treated as of 8/15 on 8/17 to someone whose pet passed away on 5/4. My first thought was that my vet had not notified Blue Pearl, and I then called and notified the one here where he was treated. THEN today I get a reminder to complete the survey to be entered into the drawing..By the rules of the event I am not eligible. I can only assume that that department is either incompetent or cruel. I had finally found a small measure of peace - they have taken that. Pearl Wilson, Expert's Assistant OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page to join JustAnswer for only $5 (fully-refundable). While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Expert about your situation and then connect you two. I was not there to join anything I just wanted the correct phone number to call and the hours someone is there. If that is too much to expect I will take my business elsewhere next time

Blue Pearl is A Major Corporation where Revenue is the number one concern

The people that work at blue pearl are dedicated; the company is only concerned about making money. Excessive cost, understaffed, doctors are not always available, it can get messy with the profit margin being its main concern. They are gobbling up emergency vet hospitals and putting a dreaded corporate spin on how things operate. If they continue, the level of emergency veterinary care is in serious jeopardy.

They tell you nothing

This visit isn't even over, been here for 90 minutes. They have my cat, no word on anything! They obviously don't even ask for approval of tests they intend to run. For all I know my animal is suffering back there.

VERY UPSET WITH THE TREATMENT OF MY DOG AND MYSELF

Took my dog in to be Euthanasia, he is a German Shepherd and loss control of his back legs and the front legs were going out on him also. They took him in to another room and wouldn't let me go back with him. He cried so loud because he was scared, I told them I wanted to go back and be with him but they said NO, they would bring him out, I couldn't stand it any longer so I told them I was going in to settle him down, when I walked in they had 4 people pushing him down and had him muzzled, no wonder he was scared, if they would have let me come in and comfort him to let him know I was there, it would have been different. They even said they were going to call the Police because I went back into the examining room. Why in the world do they need to examine your crippled dog that you brought in to be euthanasia. All I wanted was a place to lay my dog down and comfort him when he passed on. They ruined my last day with my Buddy. Don't go here for anything. I now have to live with the crying of my dog, all he wanted was me.

Poor, I have insurance, deductible already paid, give 2 estimates, then day of surgery wanted another 900.00 totalling $1500.00

Paying $1500.00 plus taking another $8,883.17 from trupanion insurance.. they charged them top estimates of $8883.17 plus another $1500.00 dollars $10,388.17 . That cost is double and triple amount other hospital charge for knee surgery on small dollars.blue Pearl senior management is also under investigation.. being former employee of intelligence community, I was informed of..to all customer thinking blue Pearl, make sure you have very very deep pockets

Horrible care!!!!!

Probably the absolute worst customer service I have ever had, in anything, in my life. Beyond horrible. We have a Shih tzu with Cushings disease and significant weight loss . Our regular vet advised us today, on a Sunday, to go to Blue Pearl in Atlanta as they were the best and had vet specialists available. We arrived at the Howel Mill location at 6:10 p.m. The initial front desk persons was friendly and professional. After about 30 minutes we were placed in a room and told the vet would be in shortly. So began the problems. Over two hours later, finally an employee entered the room and started asking questions. They did not identify themselves my name or profession. No idea if this was a veterinarian or a tech. We proceeded to give a thorough account of the situation and our dog was taken back. After waiting another two hours we were greeted in the room by Jessica from the front desk. She inquired if everything was ok, to which I replied that it was not ok. She had no Information about our dog. Being very frustrated by this poor care, all she had to say to me was to dial it down a notch. I asked her again to find out about our dog at which time she left. Approximately 2-3 minutes later , Clinton entered the room. Again , no idea if he was a vet or a tech. He eventually said he was a tech and that he was in charge . He also had no idea about our dog other that she was just chillin back in her kennel. He had no idea of any care that had taken place. He tried to explain about the vet to see our dog wasnt there yet and that we would probably not be finished by midnight, another 2 hours away. He did subsequently learn that our dog had no actual evaluation and no lab work had been done. This was 4 hours into our visit. When I asked if the vet that would see our dog was in the building, he ignored me and walked out of the room. He returned with our dog , what had been in a kennel for 4 plus hours, soaked in her own urine and fecal matter . He left again not to be found. We decided our dog had been traumatized enough and proceeded to leave. I asked for some assistance to try and wipe some of the urine and fecal matter off our dog for the 1 and a half hour drive home. Clinton finally reappeared with a single napkin which was useless. We had absolutely horrible customer care from Jessica and Clinton. In no way would I want these individuals to be a part of my company or deliver horrible service to anyone elses loved one. I understand staffing issues as I am a medical professional, but that doesnt excuse the wanton neglect and poor care of our dog. If we had been simply communicated to as to what to expect, we could have made an informed decision regarding staying or leaving. I feel bad for all the other pets left to wallow in their urine and *** for hours. Its really an abusive situation. I will continue to voice this opinion by whatever means necessary including social media, local media outlets, and animal rights groups . Please never consider using this company for any care whatsoever.

They killed my dog due to negligence

I took my beloved dog there for emergency surgery. She had an obstruction in her stomach. I paid a fortune for the surgery, and she was released before she was able. They could not even show me what was removed. I took her back, and they wanted $1,200 just to take her in, when it was clearly their mistake. Due to their negligence, she had to be put down. They are quacks. Just look at the BBB complaints.

Waited over 8 hours my dog Alex had an ear infection and collapsed.

Blue pearl doesn't care about you or your pet. They have been rude to me every emergent visit. Waited over 8 hours for them to give me ear ointment that didnt work. Went back, waited 2 hours and walked out there wasn't even anybody in the waiting room. Said bye on my way out, they didnt even give a rat's *** Take food and water when you go because it will be hours before you will see a vet md.gg

I used to be employed by this company and I'm telling you that you ARE being ripped off. Not only as a customer in need but also as an employee. Both parties are being ripped off by the owners and members of the board. If you saw what I saw during the peak of the pandemic, you would be irate. Safety and care is NOT a priority for your pets nor for the employees that work there. Doctors there are 50/50. You got some good ones and the bad ones are really bad. I'm not a disgruntled ex employee. I just want to the right thing and spread the word that this company is a sham. Most, if not all, has compassion fatigue and don't care about you or your pet. I loved working there once but the corporate side is so bad that all they care and want is your money. Read, read, READ your invoice. Challenge everything!! You will still lose because management are trained to beat around the bush and will not give you a straight answer. Be nice to the DVMs, thier heart in the right place but with the "production rate" theyre forced to follow or they will lose their job. No matter the reason, the lowest amount you will end up paying is $500 and thats with meds. Trust me, you're getting hosed if you research. Veterinary field is corrupt now.

They killed my dog

Went to get stiches for my dogs neck wound, it was about an inch long, he was in there 7 hours , only working on him for 2. He came out with 6 stiches covering what now was over 5 inches long. He was traumatized, they mistreated him, overmedicated him and he died 5 days later, Plus they charged $2300. The staff was heartless, the technician put the leash around his neck right where the wound was and said he couldnt help it. After 5 hours passed I asked them to give me my dog and they refused. Very very unprofessional and killers

Another visit

STILL JUST A VET TECH THAT PUTS YOUR DOG TO SLEEP FOR SURGERY AND CHARGE AS MUCH AS Shands VET hospital IN Gainesville YOU WOULD THINK THEY COULD AFFORD A REAL ANESTHESIOLOGIST FOR THE PRICES THAT THEY CHARGE... BEWARE YOU ARE PAYING A HIGH PRICE FOR A LESSER SERVICE AND YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR ANIMALS LIFE IN JEOPARDY.

They refused to help our injured dog

My dog was attacked by an off-leash, unsupervised pit-bull in Charlestown on Tues, Nov 9. We kept calling around to find somewhere to take him. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, many restrictions, and closures in the vetrainary field. We took him first to Malden Animal hospital, they were too booked to help, so they accepted him, then 5-7 minutes later called us to pick him back up, &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; go somewhere else. Now that in itself is ridiculous. Why accept an animal, you KNOW you CAN'T help. They say try here, there, blue Pearl. Ok we call, they say oh no prob, get right over here, we'll be waiting. We get there, and go into triage room. Instantly are told the dog needs a prescription from his primary care vet. We don't have that. So we can't help you, you have to go. We were willing to wait the 5-6 hours in the waiting room with our injured dog, but that's cruel. You turn away an animal, that's hurt, in need of help. What kind of hospital is that? Also I'm sorry my dog doesn't go to a doctor like a human would. It's an inside dog, and he had his shots. We thankfully ended up at Angell in Jamaica Plain. Best decision, should have gone there in the first place. They are so caring, and yes it may be expensive, but if you want the best care, that's where to go. So definitely do your homework when finding a place to take an injured animal, and in my opinion, anywhere that turns away a dog in major distress, shouldn't be taking care of them.

Horrible Service

Took my dog into Avondale, Az store, got there about 8.15.A.m.They took my dog and said someone will talk to me in a hour or so. At 10:00 A.M. I asked if they had any update, they then said it would be a couple hours yet for someone to see her. So I left to go to work. They called me at 12:00 noon, and told me a Doctor called in and I had to go pick her up and try to get her the next day. Thats the second time they used that BS excuse. 6 months ago, my other dog was there for 3 1/2 hours, and same thing Dr called in and I had to go and pick up my dog. Never again animals are just a number $$ to these people. Evidently they overcharge enough people that they dont care how many customers they lose.
