Dishonest Sales Tactics

Chatted with sales about transferring my site from another company. During the transfer, I was informed my request can't be completed, because I would need to hire their designers & purchase additional add-ons. I cancelled my service using customer support, but the individual avoided my questions that all monies paid will be refunded 100%. Only 50% was refunded within days, then my 2nd call requesting the additional unpaid monies would involve the BBB if my request isn't completed immediately.

Deactivated my Business e-mail and domain name

My dissatisfaction with Blue Host is at the highest level of unprofessionalism I have dealt with in 23 years in business and 45 years in the work force. If it were possible, I would give them ZERO Stars. Despite being a customer of Blue Host for only 3 months and paying for 3 Years of Domain Management and Website, they deactivated my account and e-mail service over $24.00 Chargeback. The chargeback was for an unauthorized charge to my credit card that they would not reverse and I disputed with my credit card company under the scam, Security. I won the case with my credit card company and they shut down my domain name without a warning I own the domain name for 23 years and they are just Hosting. and effectively shutting down my business. The impact is immeasurable. I am mostly disgusted as they are powerless to reactivate without the Billing department???If you can believe it. So we sit and spin while they do NOTHING. I will be suing them for however long it takes for them to right this wrong. We cannot even have another host at this point as they HOLD EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SWITCH!!!And they make that inaccessible. They have been aggravating to no end and no one at the help desk or the supervisors have names as they just mumble in foreign languages. My state of frustration and disappointment is at an all-time high. I am running a multimillion-dollar company and despite the severity of the situation, the company has shown a complete lack of initiative or concern, taking no meaningful action to address the issue at hand. The support team and agents, regrettably, have proven to be utterly inadequate and incompetent in their roles. They demonstrate a disheartening inability to actively listen to customers' concerns or perform their duties with the required level of incompetence. They resort to creating tickets that are addressed at their leisure, with little to no tangible results. It is disheartening to witness such an unprofessional approach to customer support. The consequences of their negligence extend far beyond mere financial losses. I have suffered significant monetary setbacks and detrimental effects on my business. The loss of databases, folders, and emails due to their actions has had an irreversible impact. To exacerbate matters, they refuse to rectify the situation or take responsibility for their actions. It is clear that Bluehost's deliberate actions are causing harm not only to me but also to my business and clientele. The loss of my clients' information is a severe blow, and legal action is going to be taken I can no longer tolerate this situation, as it has had a profoundly negative impact on my business. I deeply regret the detrimental impact this ordeal has had on my business, resulting in substantial financial losses and hampering its growth. In light of these circumstances, I emphatically advise anyone considering their services to steer clear of this company. Their actions have proven to be detrimental, causing significant harm to businesses and individuals alike. Exercise caution and avoid the distressing consequences that working with a predatory company like Blue host. As soon as they reactivate my account, I will be getting out of there as fast as possible. I will be suing them for damages depending on how many days they shut me down. Anyone choosing to work with this company is a damn fool. Including me. NEWSFLASH. As soon as Im reinstated, I will start the ball rolling. Then I will request a refund for the 30 unused months. If they refuse, I will contact my credit card company and they CAN CHARGE THAT BACK TOO. 24 DOLLARS! That they stole from me caused this. Caused severe hardship for me and my customers Stay far away. They are basically criminals and hijack your domain. A customer lost for life.

Service Information and Billing

Blue Host signed me up for a one time monthly service called, Blue Sky pro last October. They charged me 149.00 every month until December. Then in January to May they changed the name of the charge to WP Live Pro and charged 165.00. In October, I was told I would only be charge for the one month I requested to get accustom to the site. I never agreed to have this service auto renew, they, of course, have the power to set it to auto renew. After a family tragedy, I was stupid enough never to check my credit card. Finally getting it back together and started looking into my charge being so high and saw all the charges every month from Blue Host. I asked why they changed the price and they told me it was due to inflation. Never got a notice and was never told. Just because they have it on auto renew they can do this apparently. So check your credit cards if you have Blue Host. When I called in it took 20 minutes to get someone only to tell me I need to contact another department. Then the guy said he looked at my account and could tell I have not had any activity since October last year. Apparently they can see the history of service so support reps getting know if they are getting knowledgeable customer using the service. Even though they could see I never used the service, they continue to charge and will not refund or credit all the months. They said they would refund me 2 months and that was generous, I should be happy. I was so stupid for letting this happen, but life gets in the way. Greedy companies like this make me sad.

Charging me after cancellation

I have several webpages. I bought a domain and used Bluehost but it didnt work. The system was too difficult to maneuver and was easier without Bluehost at all. But the service was very expensive so I contacted them to cancel their service and they said it was canceled. They continued charging me months after it was canceled. They have ripped me off big time.

Failed to terminate

I have several websites. I obtained an additional site which included the Bluehost service. Bluehost service failed to work properly on my computer and it was impossible to use to develop the site. My other sites were much easier to use without the Bluehost service. I contacted Bluehost several times to cancel the service but they kept charging me even though I wasnt using the service. I have been ripped off when they said they would cancel it and they never did.

To restore service

my service,its always updating and buffering when you trying to watch a picture.is their another service that you all have or can recommend for a better service.i would love to stay but i never get a chance to enjoy my programs,their is always an interruption.

There is no customer service

I tried chat and noone responded. I tried to call the two numbers listed. Both were in Vietnam and wrong. So, there's no way to contact Bluehost.

Haven't Been Able to Edit my Site in 3 Weeks

Poor Tech Support. I haven't been able to edit my site in over 3 weeks. They know they have the problem but can't seem to get it resolved. What?! Probably leaving this company ASAP.

NO REFUND

I purchased a hosting plan with this company, we didn't use their services at all, I call them to let them know I won't use their services and they told me there is a 30 day money back and I did call after that time,I spoke with Re and she wasn't able to hep, not even offer a prorated refund... WON'T Consider THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE

PATHETIC TO THE BEST IN INDIA

THey promise 30 Days moneyback and then show us policy why they cannot give and keep 60% with them. That's completely looting of the customers and none of the customer care gives real answers apart from robotic reply.

Would have given 5 stars if contacting customer service was easier

My call was interrupted or shutdown the first time I contacted customer service. The second time i spoke to Jay and he resolved my issues.

Never function non-stop crashing ANI ticket to be fixed take a month fake up-sell see it Is not toll-free in account giving error for their own page still not fix can't work my site getting down every 3 m for 5 months chat 24/7 take 30 min to wait to someone to answer

Horrible Customer Service

Long wait times, I was on hold for 1 hr and 12 minutes. The customer service agent "Gelai" case # 364128 had roosters in the background making it very difficult to hear her along with her accent. She was unable to answer questions, and refused to transfer to a supervisor. After I told her I would not hang up until I spoke to a supervisor, she placed me on hold for over an hour. I spoke to supervisor "Joesph" who refused to provide a case number for the call. Stated he would provide the case number and then hung up me. Terrible way to treat others. Horrible customer service

They took my money and are giving me the runaround

I hated giving them my credit card information before any business transaction was done. So, because thousands of people do it, I had no choice. I had created my own website using Notepad and I zipped the website up, but had total difficulty getting it uploaded. In the middle of it all, and finding no technical support, a woman from billing tells me she wants me to prove my credit card is kosher and wants my ID be it my passport photo or whatever. I say no and I am having difficulty anyway, and I want to find some other company. So that is that, I think, until my bank-statement and $288.50 has gone to this shady company. They have my domain name and email and yet, suddenly, I am supposed to jump through more hoops to prove I am me. They point me to lot of women on line who have similar names to me so business has been done. I tell them my website is not on the Internet. I am not going to get my money, now am I? I really miss my money. I do not like doing business online, but I do, and keep having trouble getting refunds, Hi Amazon.

Upgraded Bluehost sucks

I've been with Bluehost for several years and up until now have been happy with their service. However, in July 2021 they upgraded their system and since then, the most simple of pages - a single sentence, no css, no js - takes 3.8 seconds to load. A page with content gets "Lighthouse returned error: FAILED_DOCUMENT_REQUEST. Lighthouse was unable to reliably load the page you requested. Make sure you are testing the correct URL and that the server is properly." Why have a web site when visitors will bounce waiting for your site to load? responding to all requests. (Details: net::ERR_TIMED_OUT)"
