Unreturned Movies

I cancelled my membership with them because not only do they have horrible customer service, their movies were never delivered in a timely fashion, sometimes taking days before they would ship the next movie. I always returned all my movies and now that I cancelled, suddenly they charge me for 2 movies unreturned. All my movies were returned, I'm guessing their processes are so inefficient that they probably couldn't match the returned movies to my closed account. In any case, I did return the movies so why should I be responsible for their charges? I find them despicable and I'll be disputing those charges. I'll never deal with this dying company again.

Blockbuster selling used games as new

I ordered something from the Blockbuster site last week, and i definitely clicked new. What i received is not new and is missing the online pass. I phoned to see if i could get what i actually paid for sent to me, and they just said the game itself is new - just the packing is not. They said I'd have to send it back and then order again from the site, and they can't guarantee that it won't happen again. How can they get away it? It doesn't seem like there's anything i can do about it. I can't even get the "new" button to come up on the blockbuster site again.

Bait & Switch

Bought A Better Way To Die for $7.00 from the ONLINE Blockbuster. Was shipped in a timely manner. Received Finding Forester (Already have that movie). Called to find out how to get what I wanted. You guessed it, they do not HAVE A better Way To Die!!!!! So now I have to send back Finding Forester at my own Expense. So now I have to go to the Post Office, buy an appropriate envelope, pay for postage and HOPE that they will own up to receiving the movie. I Lost money on this and they had a chance to dump a movie that they have too many of. Bait & Switch

Blockbuster is horrible.

Made out my movie list with Blockbuster. The first movie they sent me was not right, no big deal, I thought maybe I did something wrong. Second movie, not even on my list. I called and they told me they didn't have the first movie on my list so they just sent me a movie. I asked well if you didn't have my #1 pick why didn't you guys send out my #2 pick? That is when i found out they don't have enough movies for all the accounts if everyone orders the same movie, so they just sent me two random movies. The turn around time on the dvds' was 7 days. Netflix was 3-4 days and they had every movie that I ever ordered. Will go back to Netflix.

Online rentals

I have been waiting 3 months for a movie,any movie out of my *** of 19. they keep saying we are processing your next title ,and that takes 3 months? but faithfully every month they pull money from my account,for what!!!??? they need a better system.*** they need someone to respond to complaints.netflix just might have got a new customer.blockbuster on line sucks don't waste your time or money.they don't even have a supervisor to help just a bunch of 12 year olds saying "I know" and "your movies will be sent out soon" does soon mean never?

BB By Mail Now Sucks!!!

They say they ship available titles within 24 hours of receipt of your returns but the truth is more like 1 week. What happened? This is false advertising. When you try to contact them online the page gets stuck "submitting" until you give up. How can they get away with this kind of customer service? When you call they make you wait on hold after jumping thru hoops just to tell you to add more titles even if 10 are available to be shipped already. They have gone from bad to worse. This is how to kill your business. Sad.

Thieves Thieves Thieves

Six months ago I cancelled my Blockbuster account online. For the last 5 months they have continued to bill my debit card for a total over 100.00. I have called them multiple times to have this resolved. They will not issue a refund and I had to have a nice long fight with customer service to even confirm my account was cancelled even after all of this. They are thieves and when I stated that to them they couldn't even argue it,just a mousy sorry. Guess they have to get their checks to clear the bank some how.

No Discs by mail being shipped

Like some many other complaints here, I have the same. Blockbuster started out fine and now I don't even get one disc a month. This service is a waste a time and a rip off. If you need discs by mail go with Netflix. Dish must be under funding them or getting ready to phase out the movie service. They also say you can stream movies but they don't tell you that service is an additional cost. This is totally false advertisement. They should be investigated by the better business bureau. Stay far, far away. Netflix is way better. Good luck.

DVD By Mail - Don't Ship Anything

2 of the past 3 months BB has not sent out movies to me, even though there have been selections in my ***. They tell me to add more to my *** (so they can send me something I don't want), vs. them possibly adding more inventory, so that the movies in *** don't say, "VERY HIGH DEMAND". I've received a month's credit, and had to fight for that. Now I asked again for another credit, and they agreed, but added that this would be the last time. I must agree with them, because there will not be a next time for me to go through this. I will contact them next time to discontinue my account. BB refuses to address the issue. Time to look elsewhere. REDBOX ANYONE?

TV Series DVD Mail Service Scam

I was not able to resolve this issue with Blockbuster. Our solution was to terminate our Blockbuster account and return to Netflix. Netflix had all the DVDs Blockbuster listed as very high demand.

We recently switched from Netflix to Blockbuster DVD mail service. However, we've found problems with Blockbuster. We wanted to try viewing a new TV series. Blockbuster sent the first disk immediately. The second disk was listed as very high demand. So, Blockbuster sent disks 3 and 4. We watched disk 1 and sent it back, thus receiving disk 5 of the series. We waited several weeks for disk 2 to drop demand. It didn't, so we had to return unwatched disks 3-5 to continue our rental service. That was three months ago. Disc 2 is still on very high demand. This seems to be the case for not only the series we wanted to watch, but any series with multiple disks. We've contacted customer support, but the reply told how to change the wait times in our *** and did not solve the series disc 2 problem. We replied that their solution wasn't fixing the problem and we've heard nothing back. Based on this poor customer service, we do not recommend Blockbuster for mail order DVD!

Fraud Case

Someone stole my name, address, debit/credit card info and set up an account in my name and ordered two $5.09 rentals using my stolen card info. I called right away when I saw the charges in my checking acct the day after they were charged. I verified my information with them. They closed the account and I was given a case #. I was also told to tell my bank that two $5.09 credits were going to be processed to my acct. Four days later no credits so I called and they then said I would have to have my bank file a dispute before they would credit my acct back. I had the same thing happen at 3 other websites (for charges between $20 and $84) and those companies immediately either reversed the charges or credited my acct back without my bank being involved. Why would I have to spend my time and my bank's time for $10.18. Besides, they had told me they would credit me back right away after I had proved my ownership of the card with them at the time I called them. The person who opened the acct used an Alabama phone number with a Delaware address. I had no problem with the other companies. How cheap can you get!

DVD by Mail Service issue

It took 10 days befor I received my next DVD.

For about two weeks after that they would send me a DVD within 3 days of returning a dvd.

Then the same issue started up all over again.

11 days befor they mailed the next dvd in my *** even when 5 titles were showing as available.

Contacted them again and they said even when titles show available they may not be available in my area of the country.

DVD shipped the next day after I contacted them and have been coming within 3 days of returning the last week and a half.

My conclusion is Blockbuster service has alot of issues.

all the new releases have long waits and even titles that show available may not actually be available in your area.

I had much better experience with Netflix and will be cancelling Blockbuster when this month of service is over

It's been 6 days now that they have received my returned DVD but have not sent the next available dvd in my ***. Normally they send the next DVD as soon as they receive the returned DVD. My *** shows that I have four titles as available Now and several others as short to long wait time. My preferences are set to SPEED over *** so they should ship the next available title even if it's way down toward the bottom of my ***. Something is wrong so I contacted Blockbuster customer service by email. The response I received said I should always keep a min of Ten items in my *** and that I should change my preferences to SPEED. Once my *** meets these requirements blockbuster will ship my next available title in 1-2 business days. I responded that my preferences are already set to Speed and that four titles show as available Now so why have they not shipped the next available title. Here is The response I received "Dear Jeffery, I understand that you need more information on why we have yet to ship your next title considering you have titles in your *** that are on "available" status, and you're on a "Speed" setting. With "Speed" setting, whenever a rental slot is open, our goal is to ship the next available titles to you as quickly as possible. Based on our inventory, we may ship from a lower slot in your *** so that you will receive your next title in a timely manner. I have verified that you have available titles in your ***; however, the status you see is nationwide, meaning your titles may be located at various distribution centers in the country. A title could be available on a nationwide basis, however it may not be available for shipment within the shipping centers that are assigned to your address within 1-2 business days. The system calculates how many physical copies we have and compares that to the number of requests we have for those titles. If our system determines that we have enough inventory to meet demand, then we will display "Available" in your ***. This is similar to in-store availability. If a store carries a title, it is considered to be "Available" based on how quickly the titles are returned and re-rented. Because one of the great benefits of your membership is having no due dates, sometimes customers keep titles longer than anticipated. When your titles are not readily available, you can keep them in your *** for when they become available later. To make sure that there is a title that we can ship within 1-2 business days, please keep 10 or more available titles in your ***. We recommend checking other available titles in the website. Rip Off

The store in Vicksburg, MS is going out of business and so I went in to buy some DVDs. Two of my disks (so far) will not play. I called the store and they said that was too bad, there isn't anything they can do. No apology, no offering ANYTHING. I mentioned that I was unhappy with this lack of service and the woman I was speaking to hung up on me. Customer service? I think not. To make it even worse, I still have another 12 DVDs to go through... somehow I have the feeling that a few more of them won't play. Moral of the story - buy NEW and don't bother wasting money buying something from Blockbuster.
