Checking on order

Your automated system is a step backward in customer service in my opinion. In the past your service was excellent now not so much.

Poor service

Poor service for simple requested. I asked for the size of my filters and all they would provide was their part number. That is not what i requested. I attempted to contact the service department only go be greeted by a voice recording. The recording instructed me to go to the internet to send a message to them. What respectable company will no provide a simple service.

DISSATISFIED PURCHASER

Purchased a new hot tub at the Puyallup Fair. Told us 8 weeks for deliver. It was more like 14 weeks. When delivered, the Samoans were friendly removed and dropped off the new tub where we wanted. However, no instructions were given afterward. Certain plugs needed to be installed. Found this out when attempting to fill. Had to wait another week for the plug. Hot tub cover is much too large for the tub (six inches too large on two sides). Complained said one would be ordered. Still waiting. When the plugs arrived and put in place; I filled the tub. Started the pumps, two of the three worked. Called for instructions - was laughed at by their service department. Finally put in touch with someone that would help. Was told to unscrew the pipe. They didn't tell me how far, air and then water came out. Tried to reconnect the pipe and was successful EXCEPT now the gasket pulled out on the inside of the pipe and the tube needed to be drained. The screws for the side are inferior in quality no tinsel strength and were stripped. Still waiting on those too. $8,500 for a nightmare. Avoid these people at all costs!!!! You go through their "warranty" they don't warranty anything. AVOID!!!! Still waiting for another cover. Been five months and counting..............

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I would give this place zero stars, if I could. Their service and product is terrible! It took several weeks to schedule our delivery and then (surprise!) they were late AND brought the wrong hot tub! Once we finally managed to wade through enough of their *** to get a working hot tub, the hot tub STARTED RUSTING. They tried to blame it on chemicals but WE WERE USING THE CHEMICALS AND DISPENSER THEY SOLD US and my husband was testing the limits religiously. After they admitted that wasn't the issue and that this was a known problem on this hot tub model, we switched to cheaper but chemically IDENTICAL chlorine tablets. They were supposed to send someone out to replace the rusty part on 7/5 who no showed on us. Then, they come out 6 hours late for our rescheduled appointment the following week for the rescheduled appointment and try to blame it on chemicals "and venting" again. We are using chemically identical chlorine. We read the labels. And we are using the cover they sold us. They sold us a bad product and want to make that our fault. It's pure lies. This is not our first hot tub. We've never had ANYTHING rust on any other hot tub. You know why? Because hot tubs are supposed to be designed to get wet. That's why. Buy your hot tub ANYWHERE ELSE.

I've just been threatened by a salesman

Updated by user Nov 14, 2016
Update - I was contacted by the new owners of Black Pine Spas and we talked about what had happened. the comment was made by the previous owner who was in the store "helping out" that day with a sales event.

That's a really rotten thing to do to a new owner.

I'm happy that the new owners would never treat anyone this way and I still like the products. I'll be stopping in when life loosens it's grip a little and I can indulge in something just for my own relaxation.

Original review Oct 15, 2016
This was the phrase verbatim from the sales rep at Black Pine Spas. I've never been threatened by a salesman before, I don't like it and I definitely don't think it's acceptable. Black Pine Spas has new owners. I found this out when I went down to their store to see if there was something else I could do with my $1000.00 non-refundable deposit I'd put down on a hot tub. Now there is nothing wrong with the tub, I still have it in mind to purchase one, (not here) but life has interfered with my plans and a hot tub is not part of my immediate future anymore. I went down to the store, no one was there that I recognized. It turns out that they've sold the business and I never had any idea that my contract had changed hands. I wonder...if I hadn't gone down there...would I have ever been contacted? I looked around a bit, was greeted and told one rep that I needed to talk about my deposit. They told me they'd get someone to me in a few minutes and they did. I asked about getting my deposit back and was told that wasn't an option. Fair enough, it's stated right on the contract. The rep even offered to change the deposit to another product on site or extend the contract. These are both reasonable options and worth considering. Until... "You're lucky we don't come after you for the full amount." from the salesman's mouth. I will never forget that sentence for as long as I live. I've just been threatened by a salesman. Threats like this just make me very, very determined to share the story and make sure folks are aware of the kind of salespeople they are dealing with. There's one sure way to drive off a customer.

Warranty repair.

We bought a top of the line hot tub and cover (smart top) from these guys at last years State Fair. They delivered it and set it up in October/November, including putting the cover on. About a month ago I noticed that the top of the line cover was warping and pulling apart at the seams. I called them as it was still under warranty. They brought a new one over alright...and promptly charged me $150 just to show up and an additional $110 in labor...total bill for installing the new cover...$344.93....When I originally talked with them they indicated that the cover company told them it sounded like the first one was installed incorrectly, until I told her that they were the ones that installed it. Then she stated that it looked to her like it WAS installed correctly (I had sent them pictures). I won't be doing business with them again...never again...

Black Pine Spas - Ripoff and Rude!

Not only these people are total rip-off, but they are also rude. First they show up to fix a burst pipe, do nothing, charge $100 for "visit fee", and leave some paper with $850 worth of other things to do before they would deign to replace a $5 PVC pipe. Then their customer service person is unbelievably rude to us on the phone. I mean "Seinfeld" rude, the "Soup Nazi" episode. If I didn't know it's for real I would think it's not for real but some gotcha TV crue set us up. I am canceling their check, fighting their fees in court, and, needless to say, will never use their services again.

BLACK PINE SPAS RIPPED US OFF LEFT HOT TUB BROKEN!

Black Pine Spas of Lynnwood WA was the recommended dealer we bought our hot tub from at the Puyallup Fair. We have an excalibur HOttub which is top of the line silver pearl finish huge tub costs $7000+ was a very nice tub. My complaint is the service and maintenance after we bought the tub. We spent $900 replacing a new pump which was spendy but fine. But then we spent another $900 replacing all of the jets which lasted about 5 years with the original Manufacturer jets. Black Pine Spas replaced and installed new Clear jets. Well within 6 months all the Jets shattered and broke into pieces and fell to the bottom of the tub! I called Black Pine Spas they said well you used the wrong cleaner, WRONG!! I had been using the same cleaner with the old jets for 2 years and they never broke! They said they would only give me 10% off new jets!!! Well I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they still have not rectified the situation and my hottub is unusable and leaking due to the jet breakage will no longer hold water. So thanks for nothing Black Pine Spas, that $900 was for nothing and inferior plastic jets they tried to pass off just because they got a new supplier amd were trying to save money!! NEVER GO WITH BLACK PINE SPAS. HOTTUB ISS STILL BROKEN!!!!
