Bad Service

I arrived for an oil change 30 minutes before opining so I could make a meeting. After waiting for an hour and a half, from opining, my truck was still outside. When I checked on it they had brought a different car into the bay I was at through the back door while the other bay was moving cars through. Needless to say I was there over two hours and never got service.

Refund

On August 10th I visited Billion Honda in Iowa city to finance a car. I had no idea which car I was getting so I walked the lot with Ryan Shetler to take a look at my options. I told him Im not buying anything under 2020 and opened myself for suggestions. After we test drove a couple vehicles, even though what I actually wanted was an HR-V, I decided to go with a used CR-V. Assuming we were talking about a used 2020 CR-V or higher, I continued signing paperwork and gave him a 500 dollar deposit which I understood was for safekeeping the vehicle (not knowing it was nonrefundable but still signed for it). When we were running numbers and determining APR rates I realized that it is a 2017 CR-V but since we were still deciding if we were even going to get the loan we just left, did some research, and went back two days after to get a 2022 HR-V LX AWD. Ryan Shetler again showed us around the lot but no 2022 HR-Vs AWD were availabe so we asked if there were any more of those coming soon. He said that there is a lack of new vehicles due to some chip thing and that other dealers are definitely not going to have the car I wanted either. I trusted him and agreed to buy the car (financed through my bank) but I had to get my new Iowa license to get the vehicle registered so we had to go back there the next day after getting my new license in order to buy it. That night I did some research and found out he was totally lying because a found the exact HR-V I wanted at Randy Kuehl dealership. I was very upset and decided to go get the car I wanted right after my DOT appointment. I texted him to disregard any agreement because Im getting the car I wanted somewhere else and he replied the following ?!!! You will not get your deposit back! Its non refundable. You told me 2 times you are buying this!. I then basically told him how dumb I was to sign without fully understanding and proceeded to buy the car at Randy Kuehl. I was going to ignore those 500 dollars, although It is not fair to have someone think that the car he wants is not available anywhere nearby just to get a sale. I am making a claim of those 500 dollars and taking further legal action if not refunded. Im sorry that there is liars like him putting out a bad image for the company.

Buyer beware.

"No matter which Billion dealership you're at, the customer's always the top priority." NOPE. Our goal is for you to become a customer for life." NOPE. Was planning on being a customer for life and buying suburban after suburban after suburban, but after dealing with Taher and trying to resolve things even at my local Billions, unfortunately, will have to do my car buying somewhere else. Pocketing $1000 over an issue is more important than a customer for life. Poor business choice in my opinion. Buyer beware.

Refund of unused warranty now that loan is paid

In February 2019, I purchased a Buick Lacrosse and it included a ValPro 5 year warranty, in Clive, IA. Billion no longer owns this dealership. The loan was paid November 11, 2020. How do I proceed to get the refund of this warranty?

Failed to disclose accident

We went in with hopes for a reliable family vehicle. I was sold a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. A few days later, I turned on the air vent and small shards of glass came shooting out. It did that continuously for a few days. Then I noticed the air bag light had been on so I took it into a friend that works at another dealership to see what was going on since billion wasnt calling back. I found out the van had a major accident on the title. This was not disclosed to me at any point in the sales process. I also found out, Ally (who they said I was financed through), has no record of a Loan for me. My signed contract says GM. Ally is no where on my paperwork. GM never ran a credit check. The saleswoman, and finance workers are shady and seem to do whatever they can to sell you vehicle, regardless if its legal or not.

Employee issue

Didn't have a consumer problem, was a employee issue, no complaint.

Taxes

I recently purchased a 2020 from Gordon at Billion Auto in Rapid City. After the purchase and it taking weeks to receive my registration paperwork, I found they did not add taxes to the sale of the vehicle. I now have to pay all taxes to the DMV. When I spoke to the finance person, she said I should have asked them to add taxes!!! Are you kidding me? I should have been asked by the salesman! I will never buy another vehicle from Billion Auto.

Billion Auto refunded my $500.00 back. Thank you.

Would give this place no stars if I could. Horrible, horrible experience. I was talking to Luke with regard to a 2017 Chevy Traverse. He informed me that I had to put down $500, to go pick up the vehicle and if I change my mind, the refund can be refundable. The crazy part about the situation is he called me a few minutes later to informed me that someone else was interested in the vehicle. I started to get suspicious, and he was trying to sell me something else. When I asked for my money back, he told me that I would not get it back. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW DOES THAT WORK. I didn't sign papers or anything.SO BASICALLY HE TOLD ME THAT I AM SOL. I AM TELLING EVERYONE THAT I CAN AND TO POST A REVIEW ON ANY WEBSITE THAT I CAN TO LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW THEY DO BUSINESS. WARNING, WARNING, DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. HOW CAN THEY TAKE MY MONEY AND DON'T HAVE THE VEHICLE. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW CAN I GET MY money BACK SINCE THIS IS NOT FAIR. WHEN I WAS, TRYING TO CALL Luke BACK, ALL HE DID WAS JUST HANG UP IN MY FACE. HOW IS THAT PROFESSIONAL AND HE Knows THAT HE DID ME WRONG. NOT FAIR!!

Do not recomend conducting business with billion

I purchased a 2016 Nissan Altima on 8/22/2019. Very Happy. Along with the car I purchased a protection plan called VALPRO, a product that supplies ongoing care to the exterior and interior of the vehicle for $2396.00 On 1/18/2020 the Altima is T-Boned and destroyed. Billion Auto-Hyundai refuse to supply a refund of any amount. I do not believe a company should rip off its client base. At this point I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Billion and unless I get compensation for a product I can't use, I will not be gracing Billion with business nor will any of my Family or Friends. If this is resolved in a timely and professional manner I will gladly resume business as usual, if not, this will definitely not be the end of this matter. Hope to hear from you soon, Damian Morben.

Avoid at all costs

I bought a 2011 tundra from billion kia in Iowa city 3 yrs ago. there was a whistle when in a crosswind. The dealer said they will fix it after I bought it. Big mistake!! I took it back and they had it all day and said they couldn't find the problem. I said keep it til you find it. they said ok but it will be on my dime. I don't honk often but the horn also didn't work. The one good thing is I am looking for a 1 or2 year old $ 4runner and I certainly wont use these clowns

Resolved: DO NOT COME TO BILLION KIA

Updated by user Jan 06, 2020
Issue is not resolved.

They will lie to you when they say the first oil change is free. They charged me for my first oil change even though they said the first one was free when I purchased the vehicle and now they cant hold up to their word. This is also a very poorly managed dealership they do not even have cars in their showroom. They cant even unlock their doors at their open times like they do not care about their jobs. Very sad because Kia is trying real hard to become a good car brand and this clown show of a dealership is ruining their image. I always leave this dealership fustrated.

Promises on a car we were con into buying, the promises weren't fulfilled, even after go back next day after sale. Never even reimbured for gas ticket or inconvenience promise to been send to us.

The Salesman and Financial lady both lied. Got price of car and because we wanted a quote ONLY on a car, we said we wasn't interested. We was pulled in to buying car from promise that was going to be done to bring price of car down. Never did go down when reviewing contract signing after dark in our trade in car. Before this when going to sign a contract a financial lady came out with another financial lady came out saying it was wrong. As the incentive wasn't as much as it should been. Supposingly was to get free coat on our car exterior and interior left car over night never done. Was trying to charge us for it, when looking at contract. We were to get 0% or 3.9 % from GM financial, I complainted the financial lady and saleman said know problem, can refinance later. I should had got it at Dealership, GM Financial told me. GM Financial said Billion charge us more as more money for them. It goes on waiting as near dark and we were in our trade in car to go home after a six hour day at Billion Auto in Iowa City Iowa. When a man and this financial lady came out telling us we never sign a paper thinking it was giving permission for them to put coating on car. Oh no it was a contract adding the coating to us, not being explained. The salesman asked my husband to fill up the car we were trading in and bring him receipt for reimburement and for his trouble he would give him twenty dollars. When we went back next day this receipt was given to saleman and he gave to financial lady telling her what for, she said know problem will have to sent him a check, NO CHECK. We were promise $2000. taken off car buying because they never had two wheel drive, as they only had 4-wheel drive, we wanted two wheel drive. As the saleman said would cost them more for Billion to get us a two wheel. So many promises, never got. I don't know why we listen and waited for the financial ladies as long as we did, was told by salesman the financial ladies were very busy and took time to get GM financial approval, we had the approval and they never used GM Finanical. The salesman kept making more promises, he won us over as he seem nice and trusting. So we gave him the time. This story is very long but go on! Do not trust Billion Auto Iowa City Iowa or any of the others location they lie don't fulfill promises.
