A 6m+ wait for a bed delivery

We ordered our bed on the 30th August 2022. I am writing this after being told that our bed delivery is to be rearranged for the 4th time! If we get it on this attempt (and it's a big if), It will be just shy of a 6 month wait for bed. To add insult to injury, they continue to advertise on their website that it is just a 2 week delivery time based on our postcode. This has not changed during the almost 6 months. We have also had to sleep on the floor during this period (with a partner who has a back injury). I think their current campaign on not having to pay until 2024 is actually because this is how long it will take to deliver it to you!!!

Shockingly poor service!

My partner and I visited the Worcester branch - we had looked online and knew exactly what we wanted and our budget. The salesman was informative and helpful; unfortunately this is where any positive feedback starts and ends. We explained that the mattress was for our static caravan and needed said item before the end of the season - we were told that this was not a problem, however a few days before the delivery date we were contacted to say that the order would be delayed by a couple of weeks due to supply and demand. We were disappointed but decided to go ahead as the new date was just within our deadline and we had already paid in full. A few days before the second delivery date we were contacted to say that again there were issues and our order would be delayed. At this point, we had missed our window and explained that if we continued with the delivery we would have to make an unscheduled visit at our expense - we were appeased and told that we would not be let down. We received a text to say that the mattress would be delivered but due to past experience I contacted the store (day before) to confirm and explain that we would be making a long journey for the delivery. We patiently waited with repeated checks to ensure that the driver was not lost etc. As the final hour approached I contacted the store and was told not only that the mattress would not be delivered, it had not been loaded and would be delayed for a fourth time. The sales team apologised and explained that they are not updated with regards to deliveries etc.I explained that I had taken the extra precaution of contacting them the previous day to explain the long journey that would be made but this seemed to be dismissed with the offer of a refund. Absolutely, no confidence in Bensons for Beds - very unprofessional, lack of communication and total disregard for the inconvenience caused!

To praise. Member of staff

I came into the Gillingham store as I'm interested in purchasing a new bed base and headboard. I was served by a lovely man called Richard. He was very polite, helpful, caring , and very understanding of my situation being disabled. Unfortunately I never passed the credit check so I will just save up for what I saw in the store today. Richard was also very knowledgeable and he went out of his way to assist me. Richard also made me a cup of coffee so I could take my daily medication. I will definitely be returning again and I hope that Richard is in work that day and he can serve me.

Poor response from company regarding damaged furniture.

Wardrobe and chest of drawers delivered but found to be damaged, have contacted customer service a number of times but have not had a response back. Our furniture was delivered but the delivery people did not unpack and it was only when we did so the damage was discovered.

Got there in the end

It took a few phone calls to get through to Benson's in the end I got through in 54 mins They contact their subcontractor who made two appointments and never turned up, on the third appointment they turned up and change the bed. All ended well, but what hard work.

Awful services

Would be too long story to explain what was happened. But very unhappy customer. Absolutely not recommend. Careful you as you have to run after your money if you cancelled your order because of the crap customer service and over a month delay of your items. Of course i am too fussy I am who expecting a product and proper service.

Complete ripoff

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE RIPOFF. BOUGHT A SIMBA HYBRID MATTRESS FROM THEM FOR OVER £600 LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER IT HAS A DENT ALL THE WAY DOWN THE MIDDLE (I ONLY WEIGH 11 STONE) SO CAN ONLY SLEEP ON EITHER EDGE OF THE MATTRESS NOW. SENT THEM PHOTOS AND EVERYTHING THEY ASKED FOR AND NEVER GOT ANY REPLIES AT ALL THEY JUST KEPT SAYING WE NEED THIS SPECIFIC INFO, EVERYTIME I SENT IT NOTHING CAME BACK WHEN CHASED IT UP EXACTLY THE SAME REPLY WE NEED SPECIFIC INFO I HAD TO GO INTO THE SHOP TWICE TO KICK OFF AND ASK THEM TO SEND IT. EVENTUALLY, THEY GOT BACK WITH A FORGET IT MESSAGE. I'VE EVEN GONE TO THE HOME & FURNITURE OMBUDSMAN AND SIMILAR THINGS THERE I HAVE HAD TO CHASE THEM UP CANT EVER GET THROUGH OVER THE PHONE AND THEY HAVE SAID FORGET IT. IF I COULD UPLOAD A PHOTO OF THE MATTRESS IAM CERTAIN ANYONE WHO READS THIS WOULD SAY HOW CAN SOMEONE SLEEP IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT AND FOR OVER £600... THIS MESSAGE IS FOR BENSONS I HAVE ALREADY BOOKED MY APPOINTMENT WITH CITIZENS ADVICE AND WILL BE SENDING ALL THE DETAILS TO THE SOLICITORS THAT I HAVE ACCESS TO THROUGH MY WHICH SUBSCRIPTION I WILL ALSO BE REPEATING THIS MESSAGE ON EVERY REVIEW SITE I CAN FIND TO LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT A RIP OFF COMPANY YOU ARE.y ystasta

Trying to receive a bed 2 months after being promised delivery

On 5th April 2022 I went on to the Bensons for Beds website and booked and paid for a King Size bed with side tables. I was informed that the bed would be delivered on the 10th May 2022. I tried to get the date changed and after staying on the Customer Services line the first time for 1hr 12mins I gave up. I called the Customer Services line again and after 56mins and being number 28 in the que I again gave up,,... On the 10th May I received a call that they were unable to deliver as there was a problem with the mattress and they gave me a date of 20th June 2022. That is not nealy 3 months later. I again rang the number on the Bensons for Beds web site to try and change the date and after holding on for 49 minures a guy call Steve answered and when I requested a change he just said sorry 20th June and thats all there is to it...how delightful to speak to a customer like that. We eventally went to the store in Eastbourne having slept on the carper for over a week and bought a clearance sale unit, also King size and 2 cabinets and received it in full the next day. The stores staff here were great but the main website and Customer Services left a lot to be desired.

Unhappy customer

I have purchased an Auto Tech Motion Bed from your Stafford store, order number B243****. I am awaiting delivery. I was assured when asking that these beds do not go in the sale. I have just been sent an email informing me that there is now £150 on the bed. This is very disappointing. If I had known I would have waited for a bank holiday! I could also have had £25 off if I had ordered online which the store would not honour either (£25 for signing up to emails). Big mistake and a very disappointing outcome for an unhappy customer

Eagerly awaited delivery of bed and mattress ends in disappointment

This morning I spent a lot of time and a considerable amount of energy getting my old king size mattress into the green plastic bag to comply with Benson's requirements for collection and removal. The Bensons van arrived promptly, only for the driver to inform me that the new mattress had sustained damage - by way of a large, dirty mark on one corner of the mattress. The torn plastic cover indicated, to me, that the damage had been sustained in transit. One likely cause would be that the mattress had fallen from the van during a previous delivery. I had no choice but to refuse delivery and as I've already disposed of my old bed I'll now have to kip on my lumpy old sofa for the foreseeable future, until Bensons for Beds can arrange a new delivery.

I have been waiting 5 months for my bed to arrive.

i have been waiting 5 months for my bed to arrive. It was again rescheduled for delivery on 21st April 2022. Again it was delayed until 26th May 2022. I have now had a phone call from the delivery driver who has told me that he is only delivering the headboard. I have been waiting for a call back from customer service now for 2.5 hours. This company is shambolic and should of remained in administration.Do not buy anything from Bensons for Beds

Mattress change and headboard delivery

where do i start? the first mattress which came with the bed (5 weeks late) was full of scruffy marks to which we refused to accept it and were told another one would be delivered with the headboard, so more weeks go by then we got a delivery date for both which was last wednesday 11/05/22,the delivery men turned up with the replacement mattress which when they took the wrapping off was also marked and to top it off the headboard wasn't there either. The delivery driver (ANDY) then rang someone who promised to ring me back that afternoon with some sort of compensation discount offer if i accepted the dirty mattress and for the two days i had to take off work for the delivery. no one has rang me if i do not get a reply shortly i will demand a full refund for the bed which is £1600. absolutely shocking service.

Delivery has not arrived when promised

Delivery was supposed to come yesterday. I took the day off work and waited all day for the item to not arrive! I have not received any correspondence for why my item hasn't arrived / has been delayed. Their customer service department is now extremely busy. So I have absolutely no idea when delivery will now be, marks concerns paying for something, yet not receiving any contact from Benson to explain or update me regarding my purchase. If I could give zero stars for customer service, I would. I have never received such a poor delivery experience.

Require exchange of mattress under 40 night trial

I'm completely unable to get emails and photos of mattress to you. Was given your email address ending in .com but being unsuccessful I then tried ending .co.uk my emails still are not accepted by you, error DNS or similar. It's urgent to get a number from you prior to exchanging mattress. I'm so frustrated and cross I wish I hadn't gone to Benson's. I've wasted so much time taking photos, trying all ways to send by Gmail and Hotmail since last Wednesday but it comes back to me. HOW on earth do I finally get through?

Appalling service

Ordered mattress 4 months ago. Delivery cancelled twice with 24 hours notice. Still not received mattress. On hold for just under an hour both times Ive rung them. Then just told there are no mattresses available in the warehouse despite being texted on both occasions 5 days before delivery to expect my delivery as arranged. Appalling service with no one taking responsibility. Do NOT use Bensons!

My £9949.99 bed developed a sag in the middle, they just keep you on a un merry go round trying to get someone to deal with this

I am a single average height and weight female, I had stated that I had back problems to the sales person, but was sold a mattress I couldnt turn. After about a year I started to have back pain, as soon as I went on holiday for 3 months it was gone , within days of being back I had my back pain again
