Horrible Customer Service

If an alternative is available I will not go with Atmos. If there are no alternatives than my only other option would be to convert to propane or electricity.

We've tried repeatedly to initiate service and it's been a month and still no service!! Every time we call we get the run around and transferred to someone else just as useless, we've emailed all of the requested documents and still...nothing.

Poor and overcharged billing practices.

Based on billing they are not reading meter monthly. One month I received no bill and called and was told they were rereading but not why. 2 months I get double billed for about same amount each month. Asked why they had to reread and were they reading monthly and they would not answer. This month's bill is about and over twice last month's which was over 3 times month before. How would two people use over 400 in gas for a month?

If you have ANY choice in the matter, choose another company. Price gouging practices; don’t bother reading my meter; using algorithm that overcharges; have monopoly so they charge $$$$$$$$$$$$

I am a single older adult who commutes to work and is out of the house all day. My thermostat stays between 64-66. I barely use any gas yet my bill keeps going up to the point I cant afford it. There is no other provider and the company knows this so they take advantage and overcharge people because they know people have no choice. I do not believe they even check my meter but are just using an algorithm to say I use what they want it to say so they can charge whatever they want. Price gouging thats what it is. I really vehemently despise this company.

Billing

Bill every month for the past 2 years has been nothing over 80$ last month was 434$ spoke with them. They sent someone to check the meter. They stated tht the meter was correct and no gas leak so I would have to pay the full amount! I asked them how could I use that much gas in a month. They didn't know and couldn't explain. Very upset with Atmos never had this problem!

Prices are too high

The representatives I gave talked to are very courteous. My last gas bills have been $180 and $252 in spite of hardly using my gas. I am trying budget billing, but I feel paying these prices with no warning is total BS. Either you are selling gas to China or using the Ukraine war as an excuse. There is more than enough gad to meet our needs in Texas. But welcome to Bidens America!

Over charged

Used gas service for 1-2 months to keep pilot light on water heater lit. Turned off water heater and turned off meter for 8 months during summertime but continued to be charged for service. Phoned Atmos Energy and turned off service last month and was just charged again for this month. Have paid over $250.00 to Atmos Energy for having gas service that I did not use. I did not use gas for 8 months and was still charged for gas usage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON.

I had to change my banking information and pay my bill

I was in the hospital when my bill came due. I got out and called, but now have to wait until Monday. We are seniors and had no time until Sunday . We believe in paying our bills on time but not this time . We are very sorry . Please call me I will try to call Monday Thank you very much 972571****

Stop service

Yes I need to stop service on my gas please the address is 908 St. Francis ave Amarillo tx 79107 but there's 2 addresses on the account I jus need this address shut off if u can call me at 806335**** Stephanie thank u.

ATMOS IS GOING TO COST ME THE SALE OF MY HOME AND I WILL BE SUING.

WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. If you have a choice to use ANYONE besides Atmos, DO IT! These people are swindlers and do not give af about following the rules on their end. I was called at 8:02 saying a technician was 30-90 min away. never rang the bell or anything came out of the bathroom to see him driving off. got note off door which he clearly just put up and left because he didnt feel like working today, and it says he left at 8:30. Of course they leave zero way of getting in touch directly with them so had to call Atmos only to be put on hold forever to be told I needed to reschedule. When I told her they did not hold up their end of the bargain regardless since 802-830 was NOT 30 minutes and let her know she was causing me the sale of my home she HUNG UP ON ME!!! of course we are in a situation where they are the only ones we can use and this is why they treat people this way. I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is and how ashamed they should be.

This is aa excellent review of an ATMOS technician

On Friday 4/29/2022, ATMOS's technician Dylan Pando (27410) visited my house in Plano, Texas to check the Gas Leak in the back yard. I like to give a COMMANDING RESPECT to said employee with much of appreciations. He did an impressive job with much of politeness and much of dedications. Please thank him again for us. Gas leak.

I have a gas leak and they turned off my gas and closed the account which was in my mothers name. Im trying to find out how to put it in my name in order to resolve the gas leak.

No one answers the phone. I was on hold for over 45 min. B4 I hung up..Same story next day.

customer service is non existant or sucks completely. The website seems like a 10 yr. old designed it. No options to change address even.

Pipe lines

I have gas pipes running thur my land and when I bought my house. We were told that we could not build on it and it was between the two yellow signs. Now cut bush or trees down twice and they where not between the sign.

Couldn't get through I still don't know how to start new service. So I will continue to call for new service.

Easement not being maintained

I have been living at my current address for 13 years and the easement maintenance has been an ongoing issue. ATMOS has an easement on *** in Cedar Park between Pomegranate Pass and Live Oak. Most of the time it is hip-high and over in weeds and grass. This is the local highway for every kind of rodent, snake, and animal in the area. That is OK until they invade your home and yard. I am not kidding when I say the rats are the size of Cats! I found a 4-foot snake in my backyard. My neighbor has been the voice for the neighborhood until now. I am making it my mission in life to get something done about this! We live in the City for god's sake. This is one of the most up and coming areas in Texas! I get it that the area has grown but who wants their dog or children bitten by a snake or the dog being eaten by a coyote. I have done the research to see who is responsible for the maintenance of the easement and the utility companies are the responsible parties. I am going to the City next and the Health Department.
