Troubleshooting push button on tub

Original review Aug 02, 2023
Call with Aquaglass was actually a call to Delta who bought them a few yrs ago. They werent able to troubleshoot my pump or pull up a wiring diagram for it, but They put me in touch with the company who could. What i DIDNT like is 2 immediate emails afterward from a company called "PissedConsumer", asking me about my experience.

Would never recommend product! Avoid the head ache!

When house was built builder installed AquaGlass tub. The tub started getting little pin holes! AquaGlass came out on several occasions an patched (which colors was always off). Well on one occasion the repair guy had told me that the tub was defected! So at this point I had reached agreement with AuqaGlass they were going to replace tub! Well when repair guy came out there was a mat in tub so they called me an said warranty was voided. I have not done anything with tub but now am noticing it is just getting worse! I would never recommend there product because the damage was done way before the mat was put Annan they never held there promise to fix! I am considering contacting lawyer in reference to finding out about class action lawsuit!

How are you allowed to sell such a cheap product

Cracked shower base

I have a cracked shower base, two spots, they said my warranty was just three years and I am out of it. When I sent the pictures I told them I am a journeyman plumber weighing less than 190 pounds, and I am the one that put it in, and, I am the only one that uses it. The other companies warrant their products for 7 to 10 years. If any of my guys uses any Aqua glass product in any project ,THEY ARE FIRED !! What would happen if I had a customer that had this problem, and my credibility is on the line. I now believe the building codes division should standardize A minimum warranty on structural defects such as this so fly by night companies can't sell these products.

mod#276032CL 3piece mold/H2O in the two joints

Always dry entire tub/shower area...joints as much as I can...still water=mold flush, brush etc. continual recurring mold in 2 seam/joints. It is a 3 piece horizontal seams...love unit except standing water even though I dry seams/joints each use. Regularly have to spray joints, brush and flush with hand sprayer and get dark mold on flush!!! Cure for opening? ugh I wipe after each use and still see the trace of water in seams/joints then mold because of bit of standing water I can't get out. Nobody keeps tub/condo cleaner. It is my bath and guests and love the unit...they don't see or know mold issue.

Poor quality and service

We purchased a steam shower unit from Aqua Glass 17 years ago. The steam stopped working 16.5 years ago. The agent when contacted said too bad. Shower was thin in spots and had to be repaired. Micro cracks showed up all over the shower. One of the biggest disappointments ever. We purchased to help my wife with her muscle disease. Mike Thomas homeowner of an aqua glass shower

Had shower installed in my new home built after being destroyed by hurricane Katrina in 2005 . New home built in 2008 .shower had cracks as soon as we moved in and used it. We had to pay a tub refinisher to repair the cracks in order to move in. Now the gel coat is coming off of the repaired areas.Delta consumer personnel said that shower was discontinued because of the numerous issues with cracks.By not making a claim at the time we noticed the cracks and by using my own tub refinisher I voided the warranty. They offered no assistance at all.

Aquaglass tub installation.

I had a one piece acrylic aquaglass tub installed in my home approx, 18 years ago. Aside from a small crack on the edge of the ceiling of the tub that happened when the tub was lowered into my basement before the house was put on top, I have had nothing but good luck with my tub. May be the difference between gelcoat and acrylic, and the crack was up so high that I didn't even have it repaired, or it may be that the older units were built much better, but I haven't had any problems. Also, I work for a plumbing contractor and we almost always put a small amount of quick crete (concrete) under the base of the tub or shower, and that alleviates the problem of the flexing in the bottom of your tub / shower. It may also be that the contractors seem to get better quality than the big box stores. Sorry so many of you have had problems, but they used to make a quality product. We put many of those units in and I don't remember more than a small handful of problems with any of the aquaglass units.
