RE : COMPLAINT FOR CHANDIGARH SECTOR 17 UNIT

Dear Team, As I am an old customer of Sector 17 branch, Chandigarh. As per my previous experience I joined the Gym again in the same branch. Now the atmosphere of the GYM is like Club not a GYM. The music is too loud i.e more than the permissible sound. So many times requested the local team of GYM to slow down the sound effect but all in vain. They said you may complain to authorities for the same. Gym is for relaxing as well to do the exercises not for clubbing. Also no standard of music playing at the gym. Just one singer, Moosewala, always plays in the GYM. Now it's not a GYM, it's a Club/Disc. I had made the mistake to join once again the same GYM in spite of so many gyms open in & around Chandigarh. Good ambience at Kharar GYM as compared to Chandigarh Sec 17 Branch. If the same can be rectified then I will continue otherwise do let me know the procedure how to discontinue my membership . A|C doesn’t work properly

Manager is saying A/C can only cool 20 degrees cooler than outside temperatures. Its been over 100 degrees here. Last night gym was 81. There have been times when it has worked and been cooler. When I joined I was told A/C is broken and being replaced. Now manager is saying this is the best an A/C can cool.

Gym Closed

Location: Pullman St - Worcester MA Received an email from the owner, John Cherubini, that gym was closing in 2 weeks. I paid in full for the year in March 2023. Asked for a partial refund. Have not received anything. Trying to get in contact with the owner is a joke. He is rude and arrogant. Corporate said they are looking into it, but I have not heard one thing. Disgusting, stay away from Anytime FitnessSTay DOd

Accurate Evaluation

This place is a waste of space. Particularly so when you can travel only a few minutes away and receive better services, better facilities and without the belligerent attitudes of the Anytime gatekeepers.

Billing issues

I just simply wanted to speak to a customer rep. IMPOSSIBLE! Never have I had this issue with a corporation. Makes no sense!

My personal belongings have been stolen twice nothing has been done

My pair of black Oakley sunglasses were stolen last month . The staff said they would help never did. Today Sunday July 2 2023 another pair were stolen bomber eye wear brand I Pay monthly to this gym . I don't pay to have my property stolen . These people who steal need to be band from this gym here at anytime fitness port Lavaca tx 77979

Barnesville Ga location is filthy

The manager at this location is never there and the gym is filthy. I have repeately complained to Ann Steck District Manager with no help

We have had problems with the manager being short and rude to our situation.

FoWe moved to Quincy CA, our landlord wants to keep his name in utility bills. Anytime fitness in Devils Lake ND wants a utility bill and our drivers licenses. Andi from the Devils Lake anytime fitness refuses to look for any alternative solutions as was very short and rude to our dilemma. Said we signed a contract and theres nothing we can. I asked her if there was any other solutions and she got defensive and upset, and started raising her voice.

Kyle weber bad manager

I have reported him for not doing his job about 2 months ago...on may 25 Iwent to the gym ,I asked him who the new owners were...kyle began yelling at me to find another gym that I was not welcomed..he was upset about me reporting him..this yellin continued about 10 minutes until I was iin tears.I am 81 and have been going to the gym since I was 20...I have ptsd from being abused...this attack from kyle weber got me very upset..I went to the gym om 5/27 and kyke had deactived my card...the trainer ,nicole rouse, said he was wrong and she has been trying to get in touch with the new owners..tellin them the problem..the trainer, Nicole Rouse has benn letting me in to work out..today I went to the gym and kyle weber called the police to escort me out..all members agree with me...the gym is filthy no paper towels..every one is complaining and threaten to leave the gym.I have filed charges on kyle for eldery abuse...get my card activated please do not join this not join this gym..go to other gym..the new owners seem like they do not carejoin another gym d gym

Customer service is non existent

Im getting ready to cancel my membership because I cant even use a service that Im paying for and when I try to reach customer service they are non existent and put so many barriers in place to avoid addressing my issues

The manager told me that ANYTIME FITNESS doesnt give military discount and LIED because he was TOO dam lazy to REWRITE the contract costing me a disable veteran an extra 100.00, in fees. If you want to be honor and treated like a loyal customer, DO NOT SIGN UP with ANYTIME FITNESS at this location User's recommendation: If you are a disable VETERAN do not sign up for ANYTIME FITNESS they LIE and do not RETURN PHONE CALLS.

I have to cancel because I have moved and have no money

I was a member at Van Wert, OH. I told the manager there, Josh that I was moving and that I needed to cancel. I went to the club several times to show him the lease and he is never there. He told me that he needed to see a copy of the lease for where I was moving. I called him and his mailbox is always full. I sent an email yesterday with the scanned lease. The money came out of my account by auto-withdrawal when my funds were really low. It left me with 20$. I can't afford this. They are charging me 40 every two weeks. This is ridiculous. I have called corporate and they are no help either. Don't you guys have standards how a franchise should operate? I am sure he is ignoring me so that he keeps making money for his club. I will cut off funds coming from the bank. You have been notified so you cannot sue me. You really need to check out how this club is being operated. Very poorly.

I member in japan

Hi there I have a membership in Japan, and I am using your gym internationally, I want to share with you the experience I encounter in your company right now Im in the Philippines but and paying your membership and I can't even use the gym . I manage to use the gym for awhile and suddenly I can't use your gym without any information My home club told me that I don't have a problem on my contract and I don't know why I can't use the gym in the philippine I want to talk to your supervisor Regards, Michael

They Refused to Supply Mop/Towels to Remove Water from Floor After Shower; Demanded I use my own towel on their Floor; and, Cancelled my Membership

Certain members of the staff at Anytime Fitness located at 5809 Juan Tabo, NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87111 have abysmal customer service skills - especially the real skinny guy who was there today, January 3, 2023; with brown almost black hair, light blue eyes, and about 5'8" tall). My membership ended a few days ago before New Years at the Anytime fitness on Juan Tabo NE., Albuquerque, New Mexico. Just because the membership terminated, the above-mentioned man went way out of his way to be rude, discourteous, and unhelpful. I had some questions about my membership with them so that I could move on to find another gym. On January 3, 2023, I called all morning long to try to discuss this on the phone. There were at least four staff members on duty. No one answered the phone. I decided to drive there to discuss things in person. The only way inside the building is by using a key fob. The one I had got deactivated. I tried calling on the phone again as I was standing outside the door. No answer. I stepped to the window on the right where the office is. There were four staff members in the office. The rude man mentioned above was sitting at the desk which was pushed all the way to the window where I was standing. I tapped on the window to get his attention. (He)they ignored me. I tapped a few more times. They continued to ignore me. A woman who came along who let me inside. That is the only time I ever went inside behind someone who had just swiped because the membership rules state that each member has to do his/her own swipe -regardless of someone who wants to hold the door open for someone else. There he was just standing there staring at me. I said "I just have a few simple questions about the membership I had. Would you please look at my account and tell me when I started the membership here.". He was holding his tablet and made about 5 excuses why he could not look at my account to give me an exact date and began guessing. I told him I didn't want him to guess and asked again why he couldn't look on his tablet? He replied, I don't know, I dont have an answer. I dont see the point. Look in your membership package." I told him it had been two years since I had received it and didnt think I had it any longer. Finally, after two other questions, I asked if I was supposed to return the key fob. He didn't answer right away. Then he answered - Oh, okay." I asked him for a receipt for my records to show I returned the key fob to their gym. He said very scornfully like a toddler in revolt, "No, I will not be signing a receipt showing you returned the key fob." I said, "You're kidding! Then I said, "Okay, why don't you give me back the key fob then." He said, "NO, I won't!!!. During the height of the COVID-19 epidemic, the staff at this Anytime Fitness gym were picky about things, and still are. They have brown tile flooring in their bathrooms. They got mad at me because they thought I left too much water on the floor after a shower -and had the nerve to demand that I use my own towel to remove water from the floor in the shower room - that other members use; and if they are men, sometimes they drip on the floor when they urinate. I told them if they have a mop or towels that they supply, I would gladly ensure the floor is dry. They were angry I asked for this convenience to comply. Since they were making demands and refusing to supply mops or towels to wipe up water on the floor, I did not know what else to do and used paper towels to sop up the water. For the remainder of my membership at this Anytime Fitness (which was about a year and a half), they always had clean, dry floors in their shower rooms - which was quite helpful to them. Many Anytime Fitness gyms expect the maintenance of the gym to run by itself by having the members do the cleaning and it does not get done AT ALL. On Monday, January 2, 2023, I went to another Anytime Fitness located at Menaul Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico to transfer my Silver Sneakers membership there. I took it for granted this Anytime Fitness would be fine, because the two Anytime Fitness gyms I had been using were clean and pretty nice but has not always been the case with Anytime Fitness gyms I have used such as one in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and several around Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The owner told me I am allowed to use other Anytime Fitness gyms, but not his; however, I did not expect him to blackball me with other Anytime Fitness gyms, and I do not think this was fair of him to do this to me. It was clear that the Anytime Fitness at 5809 Juan Tabo NE blackballed me with other Anytime Fitness gyms, because the Anytime Fitness at Menaul demanded some ridiculus $25.00 fee and charged an extra dollar, plus tax for using a credit card. Additionally, they told me that I could only use their gym for the first month which was a trial month. The reason I wanted to have a talk with the Anytime Fitness at 5809 Juan Tabo NE was to find out if they did that to me when I joined their gym, and the staff member was unbelievably rude and discourteous and there was really no reason for him to be so rude to me. After the particulars of the membership were handled, the staff member gave me a tour of the facility. There was something wrong with the airflow in their HVAC system. The climate was very humid. There were gigantic stains on the carpet, and the air smelled like dirty carpet and rubber from the carpet backing, sweat, peoples body odor. Worse yet, were the toilets in the bathrooms. All restrooms had two inch brownish-orange rings above the water line in the toilet bowls, and the white porcelain sinks looked like something in a dirty mechanics garage that had never been cleaned! The staff are all men who are cads that like to hurt women

Cancellation/reimbursement of fees due to extreme mental health illness

December 4, 2022 RE: membership at St. Catharines location of Anytime Fitness RE: Rescission of Contract due to Unfair Business Practice At some point in the early days of January, 2022, I apparently signed a contract at Anytime Fitness in St. Catharines (Anytime) to have access to the gym. Today, I want to cancel that contract. I hereby exercise my right to rescind the agreement as a result of unfair business practice(s) as described in the Consumer Protection Act, 2002, effective immediately. In particular: - At the time that I signed the contract with Anytime, I was not reasonably able to protect my interests because of my mental health. I was a person under a disability and it is an unfair business practice to contract with someone who is under a disability according to s. 15 (2) (a) of the Consumer Protection Act. - I now understand that at the time I signed the contract I was experiencing a period of intense and extreme mania and addiction. I was engaging in extremely erratic and dangerous behaviour. - I have no recollection of signing up to Anytime. I do not have a copy of the contract. - I have learned that during this time period, I was presenting as extremely agitated, erratic, and not making sense. I was not myself, not in my right mind. - Shortly after I signed up at Anytime, I was involuntarily admitted to Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, and diagnosed with bipolar disorder and held there for four weeks. - I can present a doctors note to confirm my diagnosis of bipolar disorder and my hospital admission as well as the ensuing months of intense treatment and subsequent two week admission to Sunnybrook Hospital in June. - As far as I know only one payment of the Anytime membership went through before I was admitted to hospital and I have never used the membership. - With my consent, my mother spoke to you, she explained the above information to you and she was able to put my membership on hold for three months. -Since then we have repeatedly tried to cancel the Anytime membership. Throughout the summer, we phoned Anytime in St. Catharines several times, but the phone message system was always full and not able to record messages. I sent an email with a request to cancel, and was told I needed to pay out the membership in full. I asked for contact information to speak with someone regarding the extenuating circumstances of my situation and no one ever responded. - Recently, I tried contacting ABC billing company and they sent an email to you recommending you cancel the membership with no penalty and reimburse me the amount I have paid thus far. I also left a voice mail asking for a manager or owner to phone me and received no response. I ask that the contract be terminated without penalty immediately and that you refund to me the total amount of all my payments to date ($24.28 x 17 = $480.08 - see listed payments below) by December 31st plus any additional payments of $28.24 taken every two weeks until the contract is terminated. I want to let you know that at the same time that I signed up at Anytime, I also signed up at another gym. That gym also let my mother put my membership on hold for three months. When the hold ended, the other gym allowed us to immediately end the contract, with no penalty, when I explained the situation, and the gravity of my illness. They treated us with kindness, respect, and compassion. I also want to let you know that during this time of unimaginable hardship and stress for me and for my family, not being able to cancel this contract, which I signed when I was gravely ill and had no capacity to understand, has been an additional emotional and financial burden for us. I am still very ill and suffering from extreme depression for which I was hospitalised once again in June for two weeks and for which I continue to receive treatment. I am asking you, not only to follow the Consumer Protection Act, but also to show compassion and to please consider the extreme extenuating circumstances surrounding the time I signed the contract. I would hope that you are a company that wants to provide a service to people who are willing and aware of what they are signing up for, and not a company that wants to make money off of people who are too ill and vulnerable to know what they are doing. I am receiving short term pro bono legal services through Pro Bono Ontario. If you do not comply with this request, I intend to exercise my legal rights. These include filing a consumer complaint with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, a request that your business be investigated and placed on the Consumer Beware List, and an action in court. Please note that if I am forced to pursue court action, you will be held accountable not only for damages and interest, but for all associated court costs. I sincerely hope none of these steps will be necessary. I look forward to your prompt reply. I have no idea why this happened.
