Was supposed to pay my debt in 4 years
I hope this company gets a law suit against them they are horrible!! They are thieves!! I signed a four year contract with anchor law firm to help me get out of debt. 41/2 yes later still paying out the nose Never missed a payment! They were way off on the 4 year contract they had me sign. I have no end in sight. This is wrong !! I believe it is criminal!! I filed 2 complaints with Better Business Bureau! They never replied back to BBB on the second complaint! Shame on Anchor Law Firm They should be embarrassed

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
i will never recommend anyone do business with this company. After 4 years they never negotiated my largest account and after extending my program without my consent and after having paid one of my accounts on my own Im still left with debt! Anchor wins with all the fees they charged me. This company should be sued and never allowed to operate again!

I have been in this program for a long time. Horrible results bad follow through. Every transaction is a scam with delivery fees, transaction fees, admin fees. Contacted wrong creditors not in the program, settled an account for 120% value. Paid an account down to last payment then was offered a new settlement due to "creditor withdrawing" and increased almost 4k more. Never communicates unless they want more money. Never notifies when an account is paid off. Sooooo much more!. Avoid at all costs

The totally screwed up my accout
I settled my account with creditor a year ago and paid to Anchor for the monthly payment for next 12 months. I was informed today with motion filed against me by that creditor for no payments. The reason was Anchor did not process because of mistake they made the process and did not inform me at all. This is not the first issue though.

i just wanted to respond to the review. Maybe it is good that you did not get a good "deal" I just found out after never receiving one piece of paper about settlements or the famous 1099c tax form ( of which i had 2 for 2018 and never knew about) where you are fully taxed on that (money) you save. additional income. not taxed. how is that for a surprise. they purposely did not send me any paperwork because then i would have dropped out of their crooked unethical "program"

it is all true. they say if your debt is paid early all fees stop- but in reality they charge you every single penny of it . and it comes out up front. Also, if you do finish program you get taxed on money you "saved" fully taxed.So where is the savings? and i paid for lawyer? never talked to one.

We retained this company to help us with our debt and instead they have made our lives worse. I had three levies on my account because they neglected to follow up with the creditors after my numerous communications with them. We sent them all the correspondence that we would receive and they failed three times to contact them and my account was levied three times. They are now refusing to call me back with missing information on the account. I call 2-3 times a week and send them emails, but no one has the courtesy to call me back. Stay away from Anchor, they are untrustworthy liars that will make your loves worse.

They scammed me into their services while I was in the middle of fighting cancer. How low can you go? I thought they were honestly trying to help me. I have been trying to trust them but they lie all the time. I have even sent them extra money to finish payments to creditors. They were happy to take the money then claim that the creditors don't want to be paid off early. They also took me that they are working with one of my creditors now. This started 13 months ago.

NEVER EVER EVER GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY
My husband and I got trapped into this program and was told that within 6 to 7 months our credit would be back to where it was before we turned all our creditors over to this company. Had I read the reviews before getting trapped into this company I would never have put myself through this *** I have cancelled my agreement with them and demand a full refund as I too am being served with non-stop civil filings that I was assured that were being handled by this company.

I went into this with 2 debts, after a year I was told another $5000. Cash would settle one of the $12,000 debts, pretty good eh? But wait, they also said if I did that the other loan would be settled faster and perhaps better, I kept asking to settle that one quicker or to lower my payment draft to them, since I was way ahead of their projected settlement. They kept assuring me to keep doing what I was doing and a better settlement would soon come in. It never did. What came in was to continue with the same draft amount the full length of the program. Which puts me paying $5000. More than their original estimate. Also not to mention they never get back to you, and if the tell you interest on your debt does not continue once your in their program that's an out right lie. It does continue to grow and you end up settling on a much higher amount than your original debt amount.

I join company on May 2018 and I was told I would be paying $550.00 monthly any nothing I received fax over with account I did everything I was suppose to do I went from paying 550.00 to almost 960.00 monthly within 7 months, they lie and said I will on pay this amount for 4 years and time the amount changes and then bank account levied they tell me to close account and get another bank account that will not levied I went off because it did not make any since and only one credit card was being paid and they charge you all these fees and all they do is lie I'm not in the program no more I recommendation nobody join because they are just taking your money they are not making things better for you they are making it worse

I am so screwed, trusting them ruined me.
My entire bank account has been emptied. Imagine checking you bank account and every cent that was in there is gone. You can't buy gas, you have no idea how you can purchase food, forget rent. You are starring at a computer screen that states $0.00 in your checking and $0.00 in your savings. You call your bank and they give you a phone number to the people who now have every cent you own. Now flash back to 5 months ago when their lawyer failed to show up to the court arraignment. After receiving notice from the court I spoke to Anchors representative they told me I had nothing to worry about. They stated they personally will take care of everything. 3 months prior to that I asked, and they once again assured me everything is fine and trust the program... I called Anchor an hour ago to update them, their representative said they would forward what happened to their legal department. I also have a phone number to the people who took all my money. What do I do now? (Note I have been paying $515.00 per month for 20 months before this)

I joined the program with Anchor Law Firm March 2017, with roughly $52k in debt and wanted to consolidated to one payment which was $702/month. Well to make my long story short, I have paid Anchor $11, 500. $8800 went to their fees, $1180 went to one of my creditors (Discover) then stopped. Now, Discover has garnished my wages for $1385/month. When I contacted Anchor Law Firm, it was just the run- around, to the point they informed me that I had to agree to the garnishment before they could move on to my next creditor. Meanwhile, my credit was destroyed, loss my security clearance, and now left to live off $900/month. The worse thing is after I was forced to agree about the garnishment, they had the gall to ask me if I was able to pay them for this month? WTF!!!!

This is more than a SCAM, this should be ILLEGAL. You are not hiring an attorney or law firm. This is a bunch of very low intelligent, nasty and bitter wanna bees customer disserve idiots that have no shame stealing your money. They should all be in jail. The terms agreement that you sign will drastically change for the worst. After 2 years you will be screwed. These crocks will steal all your money without any significant settlement. Any settlement will require additional funds.
