I got up on a SUNDAY to take my CPR course, 2 hrs early. I GOT THERE ON TIME NOBODY!! I MEAN NOBODY ANSWERED THE DOOR. I WASTED 4 HRS OF MY SUNDAY DRIVEING TO THIS *** CLASS AND $20 IN FUEL , I

I went to my CPR class on 4-3-22 that i registered AND PAID for on 3-30-22. I got there on time. NO ONE I mean NO ONE ANSWERED THE DOOR TO LET ME IN ON A SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!! YOU AT THE RED CROSS are a FUCKI#G JOKE!!!!!!! Since I just wasted half of my SUNDAY and I can't even get someone to remedy the situation! I now have to wait until Monday to talk to a supervisor, I have no illusions that these idiots will actually take care of the situation. On top of that the "person" who took my fee and signed me up for my 4-3-22 class actually put down the date as 4-10-22!! They can't even type up the right date! Total incompetence! THE AMERICAN RED CROSS WILL NEVER RECIEVE ANOTHER DONTATION FROM MYSELF, MY FAMILY OR ANY OF MY FRIENDS!!! This is how the largest charity in the world treats their contributors?

Complain

I am a blood donor, donating blood since 1989; and for more than 20 years, I was donating 4 times a year, in 3 different continent. Never felt that my donation is undermined the way I felt here in the US. You have zero competency in managing your donation centers, and managing your employees. I sat there in your drives for more than an hour after my reserved time, twice in last 2 months, eventually left without donating. Instead of thinking about diversity, think more about the competency of your employees. I will never, ever donate my blood via Red Cross, never again.

Certificate issue

My name is Marie Belony and I have been having problems with getting my certificate. I have been trying to solve this issue since March 7 with no resolution. I did my online class on the 4th of March and went to Tinton falls Red Cross for the hands on Sat March 5, class was from 12 noon to 3pm. After 3 hours sitting in class and do all that was required of me, the instructor I believe forgot to mark me present. She has me down as incomplete. I explained the situation via phone calls and by email, still Im waiting. After several attempts to get this taken care off and no one is able to help. Yesterday, I even email a picture of myself and described what went on that day in class thinking by this morning I would of heard something from anybody, still nothing. I am still unable to work do to this issue. I am a nurse and I am required to have my certificate up to date. I just dont understand, why can someone called the instructor so she can fix her mistake or someone higher up just gives me my certificate. This is the first time since I have been doing my cpr, Im going through this nonsense stress. I cant wait anymore, If I can just get my money back so I can go elsewhere, that will be fine also. I am unable to work for days now due to someone else mistakes. I was definitely in class. The instructor should of have everyone sign our name on a sheet of paper if she knew that could have happened. I need this situation fix now please. Red Cross is too big for this small of a problem to take that long to resolved. Dont they have cameras in the building. I arrived on the site Sat the 5th at 12;05 pm. I had the worst couple of days due to a misfortune that shouldnt happened to me. I did what I needed to do and now someone please help me.

Kudos to volunteer!

I have been giving blood since 1969. On 2/17/22, I gave in Hamden, CT at the Whitneyville Commons and must congratulate your volunteer Jasmine for probably the BEST experience in giving blood ever! Such a great personality and great representative for the Red Cross experience!

Notify SENIORS they are eligible to donate, inspite of their age.

I donated today for the first time in 20 years. I was told I was too old 5 years ago when I tried to donate at the age of 73. I am now 78 and very pleased to be able to donate for the first time in 20 years. It was a painless and all of the volunteers were very nice. Please! Let all SENIORS know they are not too old to donate! I am happy I did! The American Red Cross could be missing out on thousands of blood donations because people think they are too old. Thank you. Dave M.

Last person of the day, made to feel like an inconvenience

Last appointment of the day,I was still donating blood and hooked up yet, crew started tearing everything down around me: tables and crates, chairs, etc. Alot of noise and things being taken down around me. One volunteer headed for the door in a rush, tossing her gloves in the trash, and stated "I'm outta here". They advertised that one would get a free t-shirt if they donated. When I got done, all they had were 2 medium shirts left- none of which would fit me. Lady at the check in had been offering shirts to volunteers, while I was waiting to donate. Not surprised that there weren't any left for the last person donating. I did get the last can of grape juice though. Go me! I haven't donated with the Red Cross in 9 years because they behaved this way last time I donated. Tear everything down while people are still actively donating-

No operating office in CenLa, Green Drop is not established in CenLa, I am willing to donate bedding, clothing & shoes, because of the tornado that decimated middle America.

Have goods to donate! Re-victims of Tornado that ravaged a two hundred mile swath of Middle America but the Red Cross is oblivious. They only take monetary donations, and DNK how to go about donating to tornado victims. I was transferred to, "Go Green Drop" in Pennsylvania, I am in Central Louisiana. EXPLAIN THAT IF YOU CAN!!!

The tech was checking his iphone instead of taking the blood pressure and checking the blood

the tech was checking his iphone instead of taking the blood pressure and checking the blood. So he got the blood pressure wrong. He took the blood pressure for the second hand. I am in perfect health. I suspect that he doesn't know how to take blood pressure or he is pre-occupied with his email/text messages on his iphone.

Poor comfort during platelet donation

I gave platelets for the first time. It was 68 degrees in the building which means the machines and saline were the same temperature. It would not be so bad if I just got back my blood but they mix the 68 degree saline with it. I was so cold my hair was cold even with so called warm blankets. Hospitals have blood warmers the Red Cross refuses to know these handy warmers exist. I believe the ARC would get more platelet donations of they cared more. Many calls later. Nobody cared.no more platelet donations for me!say something

Tired of donating

Process is poor. Too much redundancy with questions. Rapid pass would be rapid if they would ask all questions then scan my pass at entrance. Instead they fumble with ids, repeat questions ive answered and ask questions that should have been part of rapid pass. They need to streamline the process. As it is the systems dont connect the dots and its cumbersome. Ie it should know how i am and know the zip code of my donation site that day. Instead i have to figure out zip code code

Appointment cancelled. I wasn't told until I drove there and tried entering the door. No call, no email, no text.

Weekly I get flooded with texts and emails on the 'critical' need for blood. We have donated blood regularly. I called and complained about being turned away from the door with a scheduled appointment. I was told my comments were noted in my file. Believe this situation could happen again because it fell on deaf ears and there was no follow up by the American Red Cross management.

Poorly staffed

Richmond, Virginia - I found out in June that I was eligible to donate blood after being on a disqualified list since 2001 because I lived in Germany for 4 years while my husband was in the military. I called and was told my info had to be sent to another office to remove me from the list. I called many times and finally in October they said I had been approved (but no one bothered to contact me). At the end of October, I had an appointment to donate blood, but they couldn't find a vein in my arm, and she was not willing to try even though I asked, because, "there is too much paperwork to do if they do not get the full amount of blood". In the past Red Cross never had trouble getting blood from me and I used to donate my O+ blood every 6 weeks. So, after 19 years of not being able to donate, I will no longer try.

Denied to Volunteer

The American Red Cross turned me away a trained volunteer. I volunteered with the Red Cross in the past during Hurricane Harvey/Irma 2017. only to be turned away now. I recently requested to volunteer in support of Hurricane Laura Recovery mission in Louisiana. My volunteer account needed to be reactivated before I could apply or request for any volunteer positions (my account was never activated). The Red Cross offices are closed due to COVID, I contacted several Red Cross Personnel trying to arrange for my volunteer connection account be activated, with negative results. I contacted Katie Borgmann VPC (Ms. Borgmann stated that I needed a local address) to volunteer, I asked if I could give her a temporary address and this was her reply. " Unfortunately, we are not looking for assistance with the current DR outside the immediate geographic region, would you be willing to support virtually"The information she gave me was not correct, site, and there is still a need for volunteers in that area. I have e-mail traffic.
