Need to close accounts

Last night I was forcibly being sold a website that I didnt need and they took over my phone and they could see my credit cards and everything and they got me a small need to sign up with American Express. I did you just shoot me a card and I wanna cancel that account today. I dont want to card its probably already in the mail but Ill send it back when I get it

Canceled my prepaid card owed funds.

You have closed my prepaid card with $211dollars on it and talked to customer fraud department and there was rooster crowing in back ground.very un professional,I purchased the Serve cash back American express card not two weeks after they canceled my card how can they canceled my card if I purchased and I had money pending $211 doll I have reciets proof of everythingd

I was not able to open a cd account online

I open an application online and mailed and emailed all requested documents on ... June 17th, 2023. I also called American Express several times to get an update on my account, the operators gave me different excuses regarding my application, one told me they did not receive any emails or mail from me, another operator told me they are still investigating, another operator told me to call back tomorrow, they will be checking the status of my Application. In reality, no one really knows what's going on. I am very frustrated and decided to open a CD with another Bank. This financial Institution is very unprofessional and totally disorganized. It is sad because they are loosing a lot of opportunities to get more clients...

Lost card

Cannot use egift card at any of the online stores I normally shop at.

I contacted Customer Service. After 20 minutes of runaround I finally got a case # and a rep that told me I would get a refund of my egift card balance in 3 to 4 weeks. After 6 weeks, I called back with the Case# and now am being told that I have to write a letter requesting my balance to be refunded. This of course will take another 3 to 4 weeks after they get the letter. The egift card is useless at the online stores where I normally shop. And their lying about refunding my money just goes to show ehy the AMEX card is NOT accepted in more places it is accepted.void American Exprees likreA

Reward cards

We purchased delta gift cards for $250.00 and were given 25$ bonus cards from American Express. They are active per AmEx however when you try to use them online or at a brick and mortar store they are declined for security reasons. I have spoken with at least 10 different people at AmEx, followed their suggestions but still no luck in getting these cards to work. I asked it they could lift the security restrictions to no avail. Between our reward cards and those of friends who bought the same delta gift cards with bonus cards we have $500 between us that cant be used. Seems like a scam on the part of AmEx. I am disappointed because I am a Delta Reserve Card member and pay a lot of money each year for that card and got absolutely no assistance in resolving this issue.

Gift cards can't be used online

absolutely the worst company I will never ever do business with them. I have a prepaid gift card for $100 and I cannot use it online. I had to go through five calls in order to get that verified to me and then they tell me I can use it in the store whats the difference from using it in the store online or in the store physically and what I want is not in a store its online so here I have $100 gift card that I cant use where I want to there also was you also I was not warned that it could not be used online when I did purchase this hundred dollar gift card so I had no choice. They did not refund me my hundred dollars for the gift card and they told me pretty much that I have to use it in a physical store. I would assume that would be the same thing as online because they process it the same way. they also told me that it may work in the store. Which is not a responsible company either you know or you dont nevertheless, I dont get to use my gift card that I pay for online where I need to buy the supplies that I need to that I want this is a bad business. Always has been and I hope you all think twice before you purchase a gift card ort always has been and I hope you all think twice before you purchase a gift card or apply for their credit card. this is absolutely useless when you cant use any of your credit cards from them or gift cards they said that the companies online are all being investigated till further notice but still they let me buy this card without warning me that it cannot be used online until I bought the card and called the company, then they told me absolutely ridiculous to me. This would be fraud.

Problem with personnel

Screw lied to and humiliated have someone from corporate call me 352********, I am 73 years old and been with American Express for over 47 years and always depended on AX but I have never been lied to or have I ever with any company had employee pretend to be manager s. I have built 3 bissiness and would never hav tolerated this behavior

The Amex agent was calming, and efficient. I really appreciated her help, kindness in handling my fraud concern.

Closed account getting late charges

I closed the account last year being owed rewards. I've called at least 3 times and thought it was straightened out. I wasn't receiving the bill at my new address and they kept adding late charges. They owed me more in rewards than I owed without unnecessary late charges. I closed the account last year. Chase sent them $27 and change a couple weeks ago that would have settled this mess ...but they sent it back. Now they say I owe over $50. They said this was solved in the phone at least twice but it's getting worse.

So far we have not received our Hilton Honors points with the Hilton American Express Card

We applied for a Hilton Honors American Express with a promotional offer of 200,000 after we spent $2000 dollars with a 90 period.We purchased a timeshare thru Hilton and applied for this card.We met the purchase needed of $2000 within time period and have not been credited our 200,000points.We have called,written letters,sent emails with no response from Hiltin American Express.

Funds on hold

I have used American Express for a long time, several years. I've never had a single issue until recently. Normally if I receive a refund, at most it has taken 3 days for me to see it back in my account. Well I received a refund on the 14th of April and it is still saying it's on hold in my account. I contacted the merchant who the refund was from and everything is done on their end so it's American Express who is holding my money and I don't understand why. I've tried contacting them by phone, email, and through other websites and I can't get a hold of anyone. This is so frustrating and I just want my money back in my account.

Fraud on my card account
