I had excellent service from American Disposal for years. However, since they changed our pickup date my trash has not been picked up in four weeks.

No pickup in four weeks and unable to reach anyone by phone, text, email. I have had no problems for years but when they changed the date of our pickup, my pickup stopped.

Horrible Service and Responsiveness!

I highly recommend staying away from this disposal company if you can. We used them for several years. Missed and delayed pickups were the norm. Most lately, they changed their pick-up days and weeks, leaving us with a scheduled delay of 3.5 weeks between recycling pickups instead of the 2 weeks we paid for. Then they missed the pick-up even though the can was at the curb. I immediately reported the missed recycling pick-up but did not hear back from them until 12 days after the missed pick-up - that is, more than five weeks after the last recycling pick-up. And all I got was an automated message asking me if my recycling had been picked up - which it still had not. They also do not issue a refund unless they miss two pick-ups in a row. Needless to say, we found a different trash company at a better price and with better ratings than American.

$$ increase w/out notice. Difficult to get a hold of someone. Do not return emails/calls.

8/8/23 - Commercial Acct - I would rate this company a Zero! Tried to get a hold of someone since 7/13/23. I've left messages and emails, no response!! Price increased last 2 months w/out notice. Difficult to reach/speak w/someone, however easy to pay your bill. All phone numbers that I've called are useless, you are #3, #2, #1, leave a message for someone to contact you and No one calls you back!! Poor Customer Service! You need to revisit and introduce a better process for customers to speak with someone instead of dodging calls. Calls maybe recorded, what are you recording, can't get a hold of anyone?!?

Overcharge non-stop and no notice for extra charge

Please be cautious, do not recommend "American Disposal Service" to any business. Our business has a very bad experience with them, they will overcharge you non-stop and no notice for extra charge. They jacked-up their rate and never give any notice or announced. When we want to cancel their service, they make it almost impossible to cancel the service. They said to mail them a "Certified notice of cancelation" in order for them to process the cancelation. When it clearly stated on their policy and on their website that we just need to call to cancel service. Please be aware with this company.

Poor customer service, online payment portal is a joke

Well, like most complaints posted, my trash/recycling/yard waste are not picked up on a regular basis at all - lots of email excuses w/delays, but they do want your money quickly - they have a payment portal for online payments, in lieu of paying them an additional fee for statements - their portal is by far the worst I have ever used, come on people, this is 2022 - get with the program or get out of the business

Poor Consistency of service

Service was poor never on schedule. Sometimes recycle was 4 delivery dates behind. We were never compensated for missed pickups

Too many missed pick up

14 delayed pick up since May 2, 2022. Went back to my emails and 14 notifications for delays. The smell of the trash in this heat is horrible. American Disposal Service you have to do better or you will lose customers.

Missed pick up too many times

My trash has been sitting on the curb since Wednesday, June 22nd. I was told Wednesday the route was delayed and they would be here on Thursday. Thursday morning, I received another message saying they would be delaying my route again until Friday. Friday came and went and no one came to pick our trash up! Now we are the only homeowners with trash sitting on the curb. Will be canceling our service as soon as they open on Monday.

Missed pickup too many times

My trash has not been picked up since Wednesday and I am the ONLY homeowner in my subdivision who has trash still sitting on the curb! This is unacceptable

CANCEL SERVICE

Please cancel my service. ADS has provided the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I am not one to complain, but the consistent late / missed pick ups on top of not being able to get ahold of anyone on the phone is absolutely unacceptable. You guys are seriously NEVER on time. Trash Taxi comes to my street every week with ZERO issue. eric.ippolito@***.com Account number: 6501-60**** I expect a credit back to my card for the remainder of the billing cycle. You guys haven't been providing a service..so why should I pay? Cancel Immediately!!

Poor record of trash collection

Missed trash collection for the last two weeks. Originally used their on-line reporting system on 4/22/22 with no response. Called their Manassas number and there were 44 people waiting, so I submitted an on-line notification of missed pick up. Received an email response 24 hours later that someone would contact me. No contact. On 4/29, no trash collection again. I called (and waited) twice to speak with someone. Each time I was told that this issue has been flagged and a supervisor would call me back. No call back. No trash collection. Terrible reliability and customer service

Unreliable customer service etc.

you can never reach a customer service rep. Making a payment is simply crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. Horrible service

Lots of missed days. Don't even bother recycling, they just throw it all in the same truck anyway. Don't know why our HOA changed to this company.

Poor Service

Constantly miss pick-up's, ever increasing rates and poor customer service. American Disposal Services (VA) will not even release the names or email addresses of their senior management.

Missed pickups

Recycle was to be picked up on Sat Nov28,I called them and was promised that they will take care of it .Recycle still sitting in front of my house,service was not that great but is getting worst I'm thinking of changing companies real soon they are not reliable and customer service is the worst part.

Yard debris pickup

2 weeks ago None of my yard debris bags were picked up. This week only 4 of 10 bags were picked up. I called twice on Friday (day after thanksgiving) and was told truck was on the way but it never happened. Help!
