This is a claim

Am so upset made me loose my flight even thou it was delayed and late and they still said that I wasnt able to depart then charged me for my lauage and extra am so upset

My luggage were broken and rip, and I only got one replace, I also lost my flight today July 31, because America airline change the time and I got the notification an hour late, and I could make it Now I have to pay more money for taxi and to stay in Mexico and also food supplies I am so mad and disappointed I am always flight with this company what can you do to help with my experience??

Broken and rip luggage and lost my flight

I fell from Arizona to Mexico City. When I got my luggage they were ripped and broken and they only changed me one and they told me that they didnt have a big one same it. On my flight back to Arizona they changed my flight and I got the notice late so I lost my fly. I know I have to wait for a week and I had to pay extra money to stay in Mexico

Refund

I was not satisfied with my flight I had rude flight attendant I paid 18.00 extra dollars to get put onto the plane first n seated my seat belt couldnt stretch any longer I want a full refund because it was unprofessional n safety reasons.

Was racially profiled

The young lady sitting next to me, was cursing without warning. I was asked to exit the airplane. I was denied a refund, or even another booking. I would really like to take this matter as far as I can. I will be filing charges against this airline, and I have a list of passengers from the plane information that will attest that I was quiet and did not say a word, the whole time I was on the plane, this airline has to be accountable for the experience it gave me. Not only did I miss a full day at a resort I booked it cost me an extra $600 to book tickets for the next day.

Refund flight

I brought 6 tickets on July 22, 2023, When we arrived at the gate we was rudely turned away saying that our seats were sold an there was no more seats left on the flight. I was told from the manager that I will be refunded of $2,000.00 which I haven't received on my card yet... I was told by two Americans airline managers that I will be refunded

I never received an apology or any type of contact from American Airlines or Travelocity.I did pursue help from my credit card company who solved my problem.Thank you Citibank!

Bought (2) international tickets months before flying. They never checked our passports when taking our money. Our passports were valid for two months after our return flight home. On departure day, at airport, they refused boarding because of their policy regarding passports. Also refused to refund money. We missed the trip planned for months but still had to pay for it.

AA is by far the WORST airline to take to or from Amarillo, TX. EVERY flight is cancelled or delayed. Delayed AGAIN last week. Last year I booked 2 first class tickets because I was flying my son home after a major surgery. Flights got delayed and then cancelled and couldn't get out of there for 2 days. They did NOTHING to reimburse the 1st class tickets and I couldn't even get any part of a refund. I pd 1st class prices for 2 tickets and had to sit in economy. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

When you load the passages and shut the door and than had to wait 45 or so minutes for the cater to bring and load the food no excuse for it no cool air flowing in

When finish being loaded had to wait another 45 or so minutes for the food to come and be loaded the door was shut and no cold air coming in it was 104 out side

Couldn’t get into complained dept

Had us board the plane ready to leave and than announced there will a slight delay for because they were waiting for caterer to deliver the food to the plane ??? Sat there for close to 45 min. In stuffy no air plane cannt believe it this happen at Dallas international with the temp of 104 Dallas to Las Vegas thank hod I didnt have a connecting flight

American Airlines Is Horrible!!

I missed my flight because AA had 1 person to check you & board passengers. So there was no one at the desk to check my bag. He finally comes back and gets me booked on a new flight...I was traveling to Jacksonville, NORTH CAROLINA and he booked me to Jacksonville, FLORIDA. I did not even realize it until I landed in Florida. There we no flights to Jacksonville, NC, so they flew me to Atlanta and I had to spend the night in the airport (scary place) and flight out the next day. Completely ruined my trip. When I complained to AA, they basically said thanks for letting us know. I emailed them again and asked them if that's all they had to say. They emailed back and said, I can give you 5,000 bonus miles. I let them know I received 5,000 bonus miles when AA was 2 hours late due to no co-pilot, and you think this is a good remedy to sending me to the wrong state. I asked her to escalate as I was not happy. She repeatedly refused to escalate. She finally offered me 17,000 bonus miles, and I told her that is no compensation for what AA put me through to please escalate. Furthermore, she told me management would not have offered me what she offered me, but she would escalate. This is the exact response I received and I quote- "I sincerely regret you're disappointed that our executive team didn't reply to your correspondence personally. This doesn't mean that they are unconcerned. Our leadership has given the Customer Relations team the important responsibility of being advocates for our customers. Our role is to assist you, listen carefully to your feedback, and relay concerns to our leadership. We take this responsibility very seriously. I received word back from my leadership team after they reviewed our phone call and previous correspondence exchanged and they advised me that no additional refund is due for your ticket, additionally the compensation previously offered no longer stands. If you preferred to receive a trip credit, I can cancel your previously issued 5,000 bonus miles and issue in return a $250 trip credit. I do apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause." So, since I asked for this issue to be escalated, they will no longer honor the 17,000 miles they offered me. This is how they treat their customers.

Crap service

Still trying to get a refund and reimbursement for flights cancelled by them on 1st April. Cannot get answer on app, phone or otherwise dreadful dreadful will never use this terrible airline again!

They have no idea how to serve their clients

If you are going to be in business to serve the American people, then there needs to be a minimum level of service a corporation must produce, and if they cannot produce this minimum level of service, they must be forced out of business to never return to serving the American people. Lets work together to save good businesses of America. American Airlines, has no idea how to serve the American people. Their mission statement should read - come fly with us, while we steal your money, cancel your flights, strand you in unknown cities, and when you complain, we ignore your complaint and never reply to your concerns. AA is HORRIBLE at taking care of its clients.

Avoid American Airlines

Avoid American Airlines. I flew 10 flights on American or its partners between Feb 10 and Mar 11. The flights themselves were fine. However, AA has wasted more than 10 hours of my time due to chronic understaffing, deficient technology, or substandard baggage handling. 1. I made two booking changes with AA on a trip to Africa. These must be done by phone. Average wait time for a human on the phone was about one HOUR. Each call took an ADDITIONAL hour to make the change. Additional calls were required because the phone app does not reflect current bookings. . On the last calls, it was a supervisor on the call. 2. When changing the DATE of flights from Houston to Dakar (Senegal), an idiot at American changes the flight to depart from Washington DC (DCA) instead of Houston (IAH). DCA vs IAH? This cannot be a typo! 3. When I called to fix this, a new flight was booked, and the departure from DCA was cancelled. However, the DCA flight remained on my American phone app until the date of departure. They said that they couldnt remove it! If that isnt a technology problem, what is? Reservations told me to contact customer service. I sent a 10 page letter to customer service with screen shots if the problem, and they didnt fix it. American Airlines is organized to make it nearly impossible for employees to learn from their problems and correct them. They are organized to fail. 3. On my return flight from Morocco to Houston via JFK and DFW, all four checked bags arrived at JFK. I had to claim them, take them through customs, and recheck them. All four were rechecked at the same time. Only 3 of 4 were loaded onto the flight to DFW. We filed a claim in Houston. American said they had custody of the missing bag in New York. The following day, I got an email saying it was in Houston and would be delivered that evening. It never arrived, and I didnt get an update until the following day. It was left at the front door of my house late on the second day with no security whatsoever. Anyone could have taken it leading to a new dispute. This is evidence of going through the motions without giving a damn. 4. A few days later I flew to California through DFW with two bags. Americans mobile app showed both bags loaded to DFW, but only one unloaded at DFW! I asked the agent at the second flight boarding gate to check on this. She showed me another place on the American app which showed both were on their way to the connecting flight. I showed her that the other page on my phone showed that one bag had still not been unloaded from Houston. She acknowledged that the same same was showing conflicting information. Americans technology sucks. They have the correct data, but they display it in one place but not in another. Only a dysfunctional business would think that is a good business practice. 5. When I returned to Houston from California a week later, one oversized bag (skis) did not arrive at the place where the large Oversized Baggage sign said it should be. Other passengers had the same problem. The American baggage agent said it should be there. We found our skis at the regular baggage carousel where they were NOT supposed to be. The baggage agent agreed this was wrong. My ski bag was in two parts split open by careless handling. The baggage agent filed a claim and American says it will cover the cost of repair. All if this comes at my inconvenience as was the case in each of the examples above. Honestly, 10 flights and over 10 hours wasted making flight changes (due to absurd wait times), trying ti fix inaccurate flight changes (changing the airport if embarkation from Houston to Washington), calling to get their phone app to accurately reflect current bookings, only 3 of 4 bags checked together making a flight, careless handling of baggage. I will use the rest of my frequent flier miles at American and then avoid them as I would avoid Covid. No one needs or wants Covid. No one needs or wants dealing with an incompetent airline that cannot handle the basics reliably. This company does not fix problems brought to their attention, is chronically understaffed (wait times), has a phone app that shows information they know to be wrong, and cannot handle baggage reliably. Avoid American Airlines.
