Lights off

Paid the bill for November somehow old lights are off cant contact anyone because the office is closed. This is very inconvenient for a customer that pays every month on time and I cant even stay in my own home tonight with little kids.

Lack of Common Sense and Unprofessional Business practices..

2 calls to resolve the issue. Both times the Service Rep agreed that the termination fee should not have been charged twice and 1 would be credited.

My online balance showed 0.00 and then I get a collections notice for $276.49.

Called Ambit again. I was told that the...

On Jan 7th, 2021 our service was dropped from Ambit Energy, due to an Inadvertent Loss. I contacted Ambit and they were NO HELP at all. I contacted Oncor and they submitted a form to Ambit for us to be put back with them. We were put back with Ambit and I requested that the $250.00 termination fee be credited. On Feb 19th, 2021 we had another Inadvertent Loss! At this point I did not want to deal with Ambit any longer. We were charged ANOTHER $250.00 Termination Fee. I called Ambit again, they reviewed and agreed that I should not have been charged twice. We were told the final balance amount to pay less the $250.00 fee. We paid the bill and I thought we had washed our hands from Ambit. Now they have turned us over to collections for the $250.00 plus int. Idiots!!RububR

HORRIBLE

What didn't happen is more the question. Same story has every other bad review....they are dishonest company who lures people with their too good to true rates, and then the fun starts. Their fine print is apparently written in invisible ink. Anything for a buck I would say is their mission statement.

Promised to be a low cost provider, what a joke!

I live in a tiny one bedroom Apt, less than 600SF. My electricity bill is $260 dollars this month. I barely heat or cool the apt. I called customer service and they have a don't give a *** attitude or try to work with you in any way.

Just got my bill and it is high. This after going almost 4 days with very little electricity. I live in a condo and the temperature was 44 degrees. It was miserable. I called customer service - got a young woman who was very difficult to understand on the phone. After listening to her parrot like responses I gave up. I went into this service to save money. At first it was great but not anymore. My neighbors are not paying as much for their electricity as I am. I will not be renewing

Hasn't

Here in Texas we had the worst snow storm ever. Power went out because they were doing rolling black outs. But what's funny is the rolling didn't happen much and we found out after the fact some areas close to us never lost their electric. We were without electric which means no heat for hours and hours at a time. When It's colder ( 25 deg) in house than outside that's a problem. Anyway to the bill. This bill should have been so low I would have to stoop to read it, but it was only $12 lower than the last bill. What the heck? I think they're trying to make up for all the service they lost during the storm, but guys this isn't the way to do it. I was expecting way under a $100, but no. I'm not going to stand for this. Oncor either. $40+ delivery charge? Delivering what? We froze for 4-5 days due to the off again, on again lack of power. Guess it's time to hit Abbott up on how they're charging people after this hellacious storm

Notice to shut off electricity after 8 years of being customer

Bill was due sept 30, 2020, paid 9/24/2020... they said they did not receive ck so offered to overnight check and customer service refused... said have to pay right now or we cut off your service in 2 days. I paid thru credit card as their on line was not working which made me pay $2.50 extra. Customer service was like talking to a stone, she could have cared less. She was foreign and I could not understand her English! We are changing! We will not be treated in this manner. They are owned by Vistra....they called me today and are refunding me my late fees..... big deal! They said if they received my check for $319 they would keep it, so I need to stop payment on it. They cut you no slack! Very cold people!

Have no idea who this company is

I was switched to this company without my knowledge; found out when I got a final bill from my utility company. I called them and they said that I was already switched but they didn't know who I was switched to. I was referred to Oncor and I was told they couldn't tell me as they had to protect the privacy of the company who switched me... right, the one who switched me without my authorization. I had to launch a formal complaint to the Public Utility Commission of Texas who then responded and advised that it was Ambit Energy; worse, supposedly Ambit provided documentation that they had the last 4 of my social security number (insinuating that I did switch online) and provided this email kujtimmt0626@***.com as my email in which the disclosure was sent to. PUC of Texas did not ask me to confirm anything but took the story from Ambit. Unbelievable. The unknown email sounds suspicious already but I was not even asked to verify anything.

Loss of power during a pandemic

I owed 50.00 over a 2 week period. I get unemployment so I go with that. I paid the reinstatement but I have to wait hours or even a day it seems. My son has online class in the morning. Theres no internet now. Food going to waste. It's hot outside. I just wish I could at least give my reference number to someone or somewhere to get things going. I've been paying 100+ every 2was. I dont see how anything could be past due for disconnect. I absolutely will be looking for another company. I could even go for pre pay at this point. I've told every rep that I was furloughed and then laid off. They have never offered or told me anything as far as offering assistance during COVID. I hate this company! I made a huge mistake.
