Trouble with customer service

I needed to change my PCP from Silver Virtual Plan back to PCP walk . I did it last Friday, and was told it would change in two/ three days. So I called customer service to check the status, and no one seemed to know how to tell me this . And I still don't know. I received a email last night saying I could make walk in referrals. But the portal says I'm still on the Silver Virtual Plan. And the phone connection is terrible, to your out source people you have for customer service. Please let me know if my plan has been changed , as I wish.

They are awful

They have reached out to me but there is no way to resolve my problem...the inability to fund me a primary care dr in orlando..so this being said after trying to send me to Miami, I am driving to winter garden for my annual and then will change back to Florida blue. This is very sad and frustrating to those that do not need drs but once a year yet cannot find one that accepts this insurance company..

waste of money but lesson learned.. stick with what ya know and what works..if it costs a bit more it's bc you get what you pay for.

The consumer help line and complaint line gentleman was very understanding but couldn't resolve or make my day better.And then we got disconnected. Ha ha wow

There are no providers taking this insurance..I pay monthly for insurance and have yet to been able to use due to no providers will take this insurance. The website address and phone numbers for the providers and doctors are all wrong. It's a farce. A waste of money..they are AWFUL. The customer service reps keep saying sorry but can't offer any help.. can't offer you a doctor or anything necessary for you to continue on your wellness journey. I am so stressed out from just talking to them and NOT ACCOMPLISHING ANYTHING. THEY SUCK

I need to speak to somebody about a denial

I have been in bed over a year and a half with degenerative and that disc disease and osteoporosis did all the therapy possible nothing is helping Im doctor said I have an 85-year-old back anyway I waited this long to try to get some relief I was hoping to get surgery, but he said its not in operable. He sent me to a pain specialist Which I had to have somebody drive me three hours away just for someone to take me there and get there they did the review and said what I needed and its coming up denied. I actually denied for a urine test and for the procedure Im supposed to have on the 24th . Ive never been denied with any other insurance before. I have waited a year and a half to get some relief. I need you to call me at 704-682-****. Im supposed to drive down three hours to get this procedure done on the 24th. I need an answer ASAP.

i have reached out on many occasions to seek help for mental health doctors they gave me the wrong numbers twice already one was to a waste place the other was to a clinic i wasnt even looking for poor service lack of knowledge

Unsatisfied with Insurance

Horrible experience with this insurance company. I have a really bad back. They are trying to require me to go to physical therapy BUT they know it just hurts me worse! My Dr ordered an MRI but they declined to allow it. I now live in constant pain. When I attend therapy I'm laid up in the bed for almost 7 days- just in time for another therapy appointment. I tried to call and ask if there's anything else I can do to "earn" the MRI that I need so bad- they tell me that can't tell me anything! (Their imaging department). My Dr even tried a peer to peer and it was still denied. HORRIBLE COMPANY! Maybe it's time to contact a lawyer!

Not satisfied with insurance company.

Enrolled with this company payed what was asked and 7 days later my account is suspended because they misplaced my payment. Still no resolution with no coverage because of there mistake. Provided all information needed to be resolved and have been told three different time frame and lied to. Worst customer service ever. Do not purchase this insurance it's horrible company.

Found check from last year, calling to see if you can issue a new check please. I attempted to cash it at the bank but they instructed me to call you to reissue a new check . Ive made a copy of the check

Ambetter SUCKS is the worst insurance ever!

First of all, you can't understand the agents no one lives in the U.S. They don't cover medications or services that are needed. I'm diabetic and I needed my script filled not only did I have to wait for a pre-authorization I also got denied on several medications. I also needed a BRACA test done my sister has breast cancer so I need to be screened, came back rejected. So what the *** am I paying for? The worst company ever!!! Save yourself the headache don't get it. You might be able to communicate with them if you speak Indian or Chinese.

Worst Health Insurance Company EVER

You cannot get a hold of them to save your life. They canceledRu NEARLY EVER doctor on our plan. We have no one to go to. And they don't pay your claims even when approved!

Worst insurance ever

Call center is in another country. The website says they work with a ton of doctors but you call the doctors office and they inform you that they dont work with Ambetter. I had to call over 20 orthopedic surgeons until I found one in my area. The call center is never any help and will consistently hang up on you. I hurt my ankle in March; now May. My Dr wants an mri; insurance denied it. They want me to do four weeks of PT. PT wont help if I need surgery and waiting this long and walking in my boot has made my foot worse. Im paying for the mri out of pocket. Screw you Ambetter; you money hungry none caring insurance! Horrible people that started this company. This is why our system is broken!

Federal Insurance Fraud

Ambetter of Sunshine Health claimed, without a contract, that I was a client of their health insurance in December of 2022. It caused BlueCross and BlueShield of Florida to challenge a claim of that month, in lieu of the assumed status of coverage by Ambetter. When I contacted BCBS of Florida, the insurance representative contacted Ambetter on the matter, Ambetter's representative began soliciting personal identification information despite said lack of contract. The Ambetter representative then became combative when I did not provide the social identification details (SSN, DoB) and the BCBS rep further supported my reluctance to provide such information. The Ambetter representative, without authorization, began reading off my SSN over the phone with another party on the line. Provided they did this, I gave over my information. They confirmed I was not under any contract or engaged in any business with them. The BCBS rep asked for a supervisor, and we were placed on a 50+ minute hold. This led to an investigation into why I was on their rolls despite neither paying Ambetter nor having a contract with them. Occam's Razor, the simplest explanation, is that Ambetter is engaged with over-reporting coverage and utilizing personal information from the ACA's healthcare.gov website. As a consequence I contacted the Federal Trade Commission and filed it as a case of defrauding the US Federal Government / Healthcare Marketplace for subsidies based on artificially expanding their pool of seemingly "covered" clients. I later contacted the Florida Attorney General's Office to investigate the matter as well. This is beyond malfeasance, Ambetter as an insurance agency is likely exploiting subsidies, in addition to violating the privacy of healthcare.gov and ACA users.
