Old customer

Poor communication. I was told that they will pickup cans at no cost per customer service. I was a customer over 12 years and had to move. Asked for garbage can p/u and they stated no charge but then I got a bill for $75 to p/u garbage cans. Please do not use this company. Very very poor now!! I would not recommend.

If you have other options, use them. This company needs serious improvement.

A multitude of problems the past 26 years we have lived here. I'll list a few... First they complained about picking up our can and dumping it. I would find nasty notes stating that if it was heavy again, they wouldn't pick up my trash. I don't appreciate being threatened by an employee who sits on his butt in a truck 8 hours a day. Please be respectful to all customers no matter how you are feeling on any particular day. We bought our own can versus renting one from them at an outlandish price. So the driver sits in his truck and can dump the can without lifting a finger. Fine for several months until today. I found my can half-way down the street lying on its side. Hello?? IT IS YOUR JOB TO EMPTY THE CAN, PLACE IT BACK DOWN WHERE YOU PICKED IT UP AND THEN LEAVE. Were you in a hurry? I don't appreciate having to go down the street to retrieve my trash can. Also, a customer should not have to call ahead of time for extra bag pick up. Your drivers are capable of noting extra trash pick up by using either a pen/paper or the tablet devices you have in the truck. I seriously despise this company and they are not getting any better. Stop jacking up prices on extremely subpar services; learn how to clean up after yourself if you make a mess; return property to its proper place when you are finished and learn to be respectful to the customers (this goes for the seat warmers in the office AND the truck drivers). My toddler grandson behaves a thousand times better than this company and the employees.

Worst Trash Company in TN. - Scam Artists at best

Besides the fact that they are unreliable on trash pickup days, never knowing if they will show up that week or not. The Customer Service department is the absolute worse I have ever dealt with before. Every year I would pay my entire bill for the year in full before the renewal date. Then each year several months later I would receive some type of weird past due notice that I owed various amounts. For example: One bill was due 9/4/2017 I paid it before the due date and paid the entire annual amount. Then February 2018 5 MONTHS later I receive a late notice in the mail that I owe $20. So I call to see what is going on and they first explain to me that I was behind in my monthly payments?!? I explain to them I have paid for an entire year up front before the actual due date!! So then she changes the story to oh I see that now. She puts me on hold and then explains to me that I do not owe these charges it is a mistake on their behalf and to disregard it. So later that year in 2018 when it is time for the Sept 2018 bill to renew again for another year, I receive the bill and not only had it practically doubled in price (from my starting price of $210 in 2015- to now $412 in 2018) but there were 3 $5 each late fees on that bill?!?!? This was the annual renewal that was going to be due again on 9/4/2018 so I have no idea how I am again late when it isn't even time to pay the bill yet. So once again I call and they simply tell me that the price of gas had went up and they had no idea what the $5 fees were. So on 8/22/2018 I called to cancel my service. I clarify with Ashanti the customer service rep that since I have not yet renewed I don't owe you anything else is that correct? She said yes mam this will clear out your account and then i verified that they would be coming to pickup the can and she gave me the exact date that my service would end and when they would pickup my can. That was the last thing i heard from them until I received a collection notice in the mail from them today for $44.09. I called Republic Services and they now informed me it was a NEW charge that they are now calling a trash can renewal fee!!!! What on earth! First of all never heard of this with any other company. Second of all I called and verified with Republic that I was paid in full and we are parting ways all up to date and they confirmed I was. So do we just make stuff up and send it whenever we need some extra cash flow??????

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Upon picking up our garbage-which 2 weeks straight prior the can was only half emptied-the garbage man dumped our lid in as well. I called to complain and they told me someone would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. After waiting 5 days i called back. They told me my call was not being returned because my request for my garbage can to be replaced was denied due to them not being responsible for personal property. So if i dont buy or rent my mailbox or vehicle from them & they hit either of the two they arent responsible????? WHAT A JOKE!

Missed Pick-up

My business, located in Hurst, Texas, is scheduled for pick-up on Fridays. If it looks like I might get missed I call them on Friday afternoon to make sure everything is OK. The response is always you're on schedule. So...this Saturday morning I call and they say nothing appeared to be wrong, had no record of pick-up being missed. They say we will pick-up on Monday. Since we operate 7 days a week I told them that wasn't acceptable. Dispatch called back at 1 PM on Saturday and told me they had a driver picking up as we speak. Needless to say, that was a lie. Monday morning we start over again and I get the usual excuses, etc. Finally, I get picked up at 11:30 on Monday morning. To them, that is totally acceptable. Since the City of Hurst, Texas has picked Allied (Republic) as their only commercial trash hauler I have no options. My guess is the kick-back the city receives is worth much more than the cost of fielding complaints such as mine!

They are good and bad!

Every week when I expect them to pick up my trash they either miss the recycle bin and if it is not the recycle bin they miss it is the trash. I am a good paying customer and expect them to do a better job. I threatened to cancel their service, but because of a customer representative name Kietra who helped me with billing saved this customer looking for a competitor to replace them I appreciate the customer service but sometimes I don't appreciate the service themselves. Keep up the good work on the customer service part and thank you very much! I will continue service with them until they get sick of me complaining all the time.

Garbage on road after pick up!

I pulled out of my driveway this morning, only to back into a full bag of garbage left in the middle of the road. As much as I pay for a garbage pick up, you think the employees could pay just a little bit more attention to the leave behind debris??!!

this company has no morals in regard to human lives, their employees. my husband worked for them and died on the job because his breaks went out on the truck... allied waste took no responsibility...according to them, they were not at fault. then had to the nerve to send their lawyers to my home only hours after I found out my husband was deceased. their lawyers had an urgent message to deliver to a grieving widow, her children and a house full of family and friend...they came to say my husband was driving reckless according to witnesses they claimed. I wish I could find out how do one suppose to drive when there are no breaks. in a sense, my husband was killed and nothing was done about it, no sympathy at all. how insensitive......sorry ***

Keeps missing my little can.

Apparently this is very common with this service. They miss your can, you call and they say they will be out the following day and then don't come out and they threaten to fine you because the lid is up from the can being to full. If you picked it up a week ago like your supposed to it would not be over filled. Life does not stop when you don't pick up you know. Our garbage guy is also rude from personal experience. I think we will look into other options. At $40.00 month I can just put it in a trailer and take it to the dump every two months for $20.00.

Trucks spewing out later along the highway's

Truck spewing out paper along the highway's. I was two cars behind a truck for 16 miles and paper waste was constantly flowing out of the top of the truck. Will post this everywhere I can. From Highway 52 all the way into Hastings

Allied Waste - Waste Collection Review

This company sucks! Gotta call to schedule a pick up of bulk object we r allowed one then when u call they pick and choose what is a bulk object. Last company just picked it up didn't have to to schedule it or nothing.then u call for support and u get some lazy *** people who don't know how to do there job just lazy *** people they are garbage they should throw them selves into dump cause they r junk!

Allied Waste - Waste Collection Review from Overland Park, Kansas

I had a 40 yard dumpster brought to a clean up site. Then I had it exchanged for another once it was filled. When I showed up at the site to continue working they had brought a smaller one. Of course no one bothered to call me or anything, they already had my money so to heck with me was their thought I guess. I called the company & they returned $20 after a debate session with them. When it was time for the final pickup, I got a bill for $179+ for overage. Hmmm. Of course giving me back $20 was nothing. In the end they were going to get 8xs as much from me. I have not used them on any more sites. And when my little town was searching for new disposal services, I suggested they avoid this company.

Worse company

Don't go with company, bad customer service ever. They suppose to come to collect our yard waste two times month but they come when ever they want!!!. I had four cans that belong to me, full of branches and grass, as it was really hot we had a bunch of flies in the alley, as they were not coming we put our yard waste in paper bags, it took them more then a month to come and they only removed the bags and what we have in two of the cans, I called to complaint, they came the next day and took the rest of the waste and two of my cans,as I called to complaint again and asked them to replace my two cans they said I was going to get one of their waste cans while they replace the ones I had, as they didn't I called again to be mistreated by who ever answered the phone and could not get a good resolution to the problem. I asked to speak with the superintendent, but he was never in the office. It is a shame that not even paying more that what we suppose to we could have the service we deserve.

Drivers-Bloomington, Indiana

This company is awful! On my way to work one morning I was almost hit by one of their drivers, he switched lanes and did not have enough room, he did not use his turn signal, I had to slam on my brakes to keep from him hitting me. I called and asked to speak with a supervisor, who then made a thousand excuses for the driver and said that I was in his blind spot. I was beside his drivers door... and he did not use a turn signal. My advice, if one of their worthless drivers hit you, SUE THE COMPANY FOR EVERYTHING THEY HAVE!!!!!!!

*** Poor Service

I'm driving home last night see a huge pile of debris (yard waste) in the road in front of my house. After inspecting further, I see an "OOPS" tag on the bin indicating that it was too heavy. I open the lid and 1/3 of the bin (it was full prior) was gone and dumped into the street. I wasn't upset that the bin was too heavy. I was pissed off that the driver had to lift the bin, determine it was too heavy and spill it while doing so, then left it! He had time to fill out Allied's juvenile "OOPS" tag but couldn't clean up the mess HE MADE! I proceeded to scoop and shovel the debris that Allied left into three bio bags for pick up and reducing the weight of the bin. The next morning I called Allied and spoke with "Doreen". She went onto explain that their drivers aren't allowed to pick up messes they create and need to call a supervisor. I explained obviously he didn't because the mess was still there. "Doreen" then asked how do I know that Allied made the mess, and I quote, "maybe a dog knocked it over". Hmmm....so the bin was too heavy for the actual GARBAGE TRUCK to pick up with an hydraulic arm and so a dog could knock it over. What a fricken' joke. I then told "Doreen" that I cleaned up their mess and requested service to come back out. She said that they would not do that and I had to wait another two weeks for the next service... At this point, I was so pissed, I couldn't see straight. Ummm who is the customer and who is paying for services??? I asked "Doreen" for her email address. She said that she didn't have one? Are you kidding me. No email address? "Doreen" has obviously been there for 30 years and just hides behind Allied so she or Allied don't have to do ***. They know customers are stuck. They are the only garbage service in town, their union, and they do as little as humanly possible with no recourse for customers. "Doreen" and Allied can go screw themselves as the WORST service I have experienced.

Allied Waste Curbside Pickup Review from Bartlett, Illinois

I rolled my trash can out as the driver was pulling up to my home. I didn't get it out the night before as I usually do... life can tend to get busy. The driver looked at me and drove by. I called to reschedule and plead my case. The operator told me he'd come back today and never arrived. I pay my bill, I do what I'm suppose to, why don't you Republic/Allied? This is embarrassing to a faithful customer. The actions of your employees reflect the leadership of your company.
