Sales Malpractice

Sales person lied to me about the sales estimate. They said they will assemble the furniture (I was looking at competing bids and even though VanLines was more expensive they were going to assemble). When moving day came they didn't assemble because they said they don't assemble. I complained to them (they didn't respond) and BBB because this was literally lying to my face to get sale. This type of sales practice is not right at all. Reading other reviews now made me realize that I shouldn't have gone with them and will definitely not recommend to anyone else. Any company that lies to a customer doesn't deserve any business.

Still waiting...still sleeping on my floor

Moving from Dayton, Ohio to Santa Cruz, CA. My shipment was picked up Jan.9, first day of delivery was Jan.25. As of now (Feb.19), all of my belongings are sitting in St. Louis, MO. The contract I signed says "deliver can take up to 14 business days from the time you are ready for delivery." But it also says "According to ICC regulations 21 business is normal..." There is a small sliver of hope that my stuff will arrive on business day 21...but in my opinion 14 business days was the agreement. Has anyone had similar experience or advice here? I'm meeting with a lawyer to discuss my options, but US Van Lines is stressing the 21 days so I feel like that is their loop hole.

Unable to get an answer to where my stuff is, never use this company, 0 accountability

I used All USA van lines for my move from Durham, NC to Oakland, CA. My date of arrival was 8/22. After about a week I called to see what was the hold up. They said it is usual and that they write into the contract that it could take 14-21 business days. I let it go but once the 21 business days passed I called again and they still had no information about my belongings. I came to realize that the people you speak with have nothing to do with your belongings. They are just operators. There is no accountability with this company. I complained about this several times and finally a month later 9/30 they call to say our things had been assigned to a truck and should be there by the end of the week. I called two weeks later and they told me the same thing again. I called again and the operator said the people he works with just make things up often and will tell customers anything to get them off the phone. It is now 10/29 and I am still waiting for my things and there is no communication about when I can expect it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IT IS AWFUL.

All USA Van Lines - Poor Moving Service Review from Petersburg, Virginia

I have the same problem right now, I use interstate mover, and they forwarded my shipment thru them. My household stuff got picked up 8/28, rush to pay for it considering I'm overseas, after that none of them contacted me about my shipment. I am moving to a new apartment and I don't have anything. This company is so incompetent, they are so fast in getting the money but when it comes to getting in touch and follow up they suck! I wish they could have told me the exact location of my stuff and I'll pull it out myself and drive it.

Worst customer service...and still waiting for my shipment

Terrible experience. Please do not do business with them. I initially got a quote from a business called "Cross Country Movers." They seemed to have decent reviews online. When the movers came the company was "All USA VAN LINES" which apparently they contract out to. My shipment was from New Haven to Arizona. They stated that it would be 1-21 days from first date of delivery (which was 7/23). Currently I am still waiting for my shipment and they have no estimated date of arrival. When I call customer service it is impossible to speak to anyone and I had the worst conversation that I have ever experienced. After multiple calls and multiple dropped line I was finally able to get in touch with Mark, a manager at the company. Mark correctly told me that my shipment was delayed and that there was nothing that he could do. Mark went on to state that " I didn't understand the situation and that calling here again will only upset the staff and myself." While saying this he was yelling at me and when I asked him to please stop he laughed at me. He then stated that it was 5pm eastern standard time and that he is going to hang up the phone. He did hang up the phone while I was still on line.

Review from Edwards Afb, California

I wish I had did better research. I have been fighting with this company since March. I was charged for 8841lbs when I actually had 5980lbs. Being military I know exactly how much cause I needed weight tickets. Thats an over charge of $1945 I just want my refund. They sent me a settlement letter for $78. REALLY Update: Sent a dispute letter and they tried to give me an extra $30. Worst company ever.

A JOKE

Moving experience with this ALL USA VAN LINES was a joke. I started as a joke and ended like a joke. Started with getting a quote with a company (Cross country movers) then ended up with different company (All USA Van lines) and nobody explained what's going on this whole time. Charged me extra thousand dollars when pick-up guys showed up and my packaged ended up arrived 2 months later. Nobody followed up with locations, moving status, or nothing the whole waiting time period unless I call to ask to find out where they are. Called customer service every day because I was about to have panic attacks on daily basis. Promised call me back but never did, not even once. You are lucky to get your stuff back if not missing or damaged. Submitted a complaint with a list of damaged items and lat arrival dispute. A few months later, they sent me final letter with $76 check pending and wanted me to sign and notarize the final agreement so they could get away with 76 dollar shut me up. hahahaha this is a joke. Honestly, I don't know how they could get away with this. This is unbelievable.

Added cost & missing furniture

Run!!! even if you have to give up your deposit. They added over $1000 in cost, and could only fit 70% of our stuff on the truck. We had to move the additional stuff ourselves at our expense. Then it took the max time to deliver even though the sales person (Adam) from interstate movers said that because of the amount we were moving would almost definitely be delivered the next day. Was also verbally told bedding coverings would be no charge as well as no charge for other items - again not in writing and the movers who showed up charged me over $500 to wrap things Go with another company. Get everything in writing before you sign-up. They may promise you one thing but your contract will say another. G Heyman

Totally frustrated..

This is a very bad movers company: They tell lies and take full advantage of the laws. My Experience here:1> They charged 70$ more at the pickup and 70$ more at the drop off. (Showed me a fine print where it talks about the distance from mover van to doorstep. This charge is imminent for 90% homes and apartments)2> They committed for a day and they didn't bring the stuff. When I called them I came to know that they are not sure when they deliver. Legally they are given some time period to deliver and we suffered a lot with our little kids as we are not prepared for this.3> They gave me wrong quote when they reached home they raised from 700$ to 1400$. I wanted to cancel and the guy said I can't cancel and I have to pay even if I cancel. I continued and later head office told me that I can cancel by paying just $70 4> Some of my stuff got spoiled and after making multiple calls to a third party and sending documents and pictures(You have to send by mail only no e-mail)got paid around 10 bucks. That is what I got for hours of phone calls and shipping expense. 5> Pickup also was too late distubred by schedule on that day.

Company would not refund deposit, per contract

I placed a deposit on my credit card. After I changed my mind and decided to move myself, they refused to credit my account for the refund and promised a refund check which never arrived. They do not appear to be an honest service provider. Suggest you research well before choosing a mover and stay away from these people. They also go by Interstate Movers and Kay Movers. It seems they have to change their names to try and sweep complaints under the rug. I filed a complaint with my bank and I will get my account accredited, so I do not see were they achieved anything, except to gain another complaint.

Damaged so many things and Claim is still unpaid

First their quote was off by $3000 and then the Israeli's who run the company are very difficult to deal with and then they broke and damaged more than half of my stuff at 60 cents a pound which by my calculation they should still reimburse me over $700 according to the wt of my stuff but THEIR crazy way of estinating the weight brought the ckaim to $300 and then months later a new claim company has no record of the first ckaim and now I have to start all over. F...g rim offs. I hired Cross Country Movers...All USA Vanlines trucks shows up...they just keep changing their names...so dont use any f...g company with the address at 2346 Thomas St, Hollywood, FL...I hope they all go to jail for fraud!!!

Worst Company Ever...They should be out of business

My mom and I lived in Daytona Beach Florida and at the end of January in 2013 my father passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. My mom and dad have been together for 50 years. We decided after he passed away to move where we had family, that so happens to be in Newton Iowa. We didn't have much time to plan for finances were rough. We came across All USA VAN LINES and my mother got a quote of $1590 for the list we gave them that we were taking. We said ok because that was the cheapest we could find. In April is when we decided to leave our home state of Florida and travel 1400 miles to somewhere we have never been. The day the movers came we showed them what they needed to take and what was not going. They told us that there were things that were going that was not on the list, and it was going to cost us at least $2700 dollars. This was money we really didn't have. We were in a jam so we said ok and I decided to take things off that I really did not need. It brought the total down to $2300. We had to leave so much stuff behind it was heart breaking to say the least. As the movers were putting our stuff on the truck they literally were throwing them on there not realizing I had fragile written on all the boxes. We purchased brand new boxes and bubble wrap for the move and when they were delivered they were all smashed and stuff inside were busted into pieces. I had a $450 vacuum cleaner that went missing. The salesperson Anthony said we should have our stuff in 4 days which that was a big lie, it took 13 days for our stuff to be delivered. It was bad enough we had to leave our home state and deal with the loss of my father then we had this moving company to deal with who were a bunch of liars and greedy. We have written every news station and website that would listen to us and one Orlando news station wrote them a note and forwarded it to us, but nothing was ever done. We filed a claim with the company and all we would have gotten is $68 and that is including the missing $450 vacuum, because they go by weight and not value. We will never ever use this company again. I just wish there was something else I could do.

LIED TO DELAY IN ARRIVAL OF ITEMS

This company DO NOT USE - they showed up for pick up on time 10/13/13 and loaded a truck that had cardbord taped to the door with DOT number. I was at that point a little nervous but had a 3k mile move already booked. The first day of delivery was 10/19/13-- I then found out they sent to BOSTON QUALITY MOVERS (don't use them either) . After many calls - messages and lies by GIOVANNI, ASHLEY,SHELLY,ANTHONY found out that belongings were still somewhere. Told in Virgina with truck broke down-driver quit... I was promised multiple times that items to be delivered and every time they were not. After many calls - lies and fighting the items were delivered 12/03/2013!!!!! Cannot believe this company. This was the worse thing ever with this company NEVER USE THEM.

Fraud, misrepresentation of ownership/management, theft, grand larceny theft, extortion, harboring stolen property

Where do I start. "Ronald" the salesperson quoted $1900 for a specific list of belongings to move from TN to FL. On pick up day, the mover "Javier" wanted another $5000 to get all of it, said the storage unit was over 500 cubic feet. First of all I never, ever was told anything about cubic feet. I gave a list of what was to be moved. I had to settle for $3800 because I had to get settled for my job. When loading they decided they didn't have enough room on their truck and left 1/3 of my stuff there anyway. They transported it out of state to their warehouse somewhere in Georgia wouldn't tell me where. Said we could discuss the delivery date after they received 75% of total. "Giovanni" (who btw was the supervisor, then he said he was the General Manager, then in even another conversation, was the owner who lived out of the country...) told me it would be another $3800 if I wanted everything. I refused. I waited for weeks to get a delivery date, took time off work when they were supposed to be there and didn't show up. Was actually told I "didn't need to be there, just leave the key and the money under the door mat and it would all be taken care of". Got local police involved when they finally did show up because they wanted $300 a piece in cash because they had to go up a flight of stairs, or else they would unload everything in the parking lot. They crushed the entire left side of my grandfather clock, every single picture, picture frame, painting and artwork was gouged, broken, shattered, scratched and are irreplaceable or irrepairable.Lost several pieces of expensive solid oak furniture and inventory from my spas thousands of dollars of damages and loss; and have boxes of other people's belongings. They initially told me to send pics of all the damages and they would "reimburse". I haven't heard from them since. IF you are missing some of your personal belongings, I probably have them.....they will not get them or return them to you

Dissatisfied Costumer

I have been giving the run around for several days now while waiting on my shipment from All USA Van Lines based out of Hollywood, FL. I was told to expect my shipment in 7-10 business days, however I have been waiting almost 3 weeks and no one can tell me anyting. They are now saying it can take up to 21 business days. I have asked to speak with someone other than a costumer rep, but they will not allow me to speak to anyone. To me this is very fishy and I am more than concerned that my stuff has been stolen sold or totally damaged!! I have even asked for a refund and they will not agree. This is ridiculous!!!! No one should have to wait for a "professional" moving company to deliver their stuff. Who really has days to sit and waste waiting on a delivery?? No one!! Please DO NOT use this company for anything! I know way too many people to sit back and allow this out right disrespect and scam continue. I have been on the phone with a lawyer and my uncle who is the Asssistant District Attourney for Cary, NC and my cousin who is the District Attourney for GUilford County. I hope that I will not have to go this far to receive resolve, but I will!!!!

The absolute worst moving company I've ever dealt with

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM OPERATING AS A MOVING COMPANY! My wife and I hired them to move us from South Carolina to California. My wife spent the majority of the time dealing with Kay, a salesperson. While Kay was very helpful in getting us set up, once they had our deposit, it was a completely different story. We were given a date for the movers to arrive and pick up our items. We had boxed all of the items ourselves, with the exception of a couple of specialty items that we felt required special attention and expert handling. Everything else (all large items: furniture, beds, entertainment center outdoor items, etc.) was to be packed by the movers when they arrived. When the movers arrived, pretty much on time, I was surprised to see them pull up with a large box truck (a rental, no less), as opposed to a semi. When I reminded the driver (who seemed to be the leader) of how much we had, he assured me it would all fit on the truck. Aside from the driver, there was only one other worker. (A third worker showed up a couple of hours later, at which time we learned that he was answering a Craigslist ad to make $100 for helping pack the truck!) The driver concentrated on wrapping the large items, mostly in blankets, while his helper loaded the boxes, which we had packed and set out in the garage, onto the truck. When it became apparent that not everything would fit on the truck, as we had warned them, the driver said that they needed to take what was on the truck to a storage facility down the road, unload it, then return for the rest. At no time were we told that the move would be handled in this manner. We asked how long the items would remain there, and he said a semi truck would be by on Monday morning (it was Saturday that they picked up our items). We asked why they didn't just schedule the pickup for Monday when the larger truck would be here, but he said he didn't know - he was just doing what he was told. They returned for the rest of the items, and three times they attempted to leave, assuming they were done, and we had to remind them of items that they hadn't gotten to yet. They were very unprepared, and were in a big hurry to finish and leave. Well, Monday arrived, and no one picked up our furniture. We had already leased our home, and were driving to California on Tuesday morning. At that point, Kay, whom my wife had been dealing with, couldn't be reached (we were told that it was out of her control at this point anyway), so we now we are on the road to California, with no way of contacting anyone that could tell us when our furniture would be picked up. A co-worker of my wife was also relocating, from North Carolina, and she was told that her household items would be on the same truck as ours, since our destinations were withing a few hours of each other. We arrived in California 5 days later, and our furniture still hadn't left South Carolina. My wife's friend had been doing some investigating while we were on the road. She found out that All USA Van Lines had no insurance, and their license had been revoked, so they were technically not allowed to be doing business at all. That same day, we finally got in touch with Giovanni (in customer service, I believe). We confronted him with the information regarding the company's license revocation, and he tried to tell us that everything was fine, it was just a misunderstanding and that some minor paperwork the next day would clear things up. We told him that we wanted out, that no one from that company should remove our belongings from storage, but were told by him that they had just been picked up that morning, and the driver was on his way to North Carolina to pick up my wife's friends items. We asked how they could do that without a license, and he said he brokered it out to another company, Sammy's, I believe, out of Florida. We were outraged, to say the least, but we were told that he had already left, and that everything would be fine, and that we would be calling him when our furniture arrived to thank him for such great service. Well, we got "Sammy's" number and called him, and he said it would take him 4 or 5 days to get there. Meanwhile, we're stuck in a hotel in Sacramento, with two dogs. 4 days later we call to find out where he is, and he's just entering New Mexico! Asked why it was taking him so long, he said something about getting tied up in Louisiana, which wasn't even on the way! 4 days after that, he arrived at my wife's friends house, and she called us in tears. As they were unloading her items, most of them were scratched, dented, or just plain broken. She said she saw our items as well (some were actually tied to the back of the truck, uncovered, not even inside!), and also noticed extensive damage. He arrive the next morning to our house, and as soon as the boxes started to come in from the truck, I almost got sick to my stomach. I've attached a couple of photos of what some of the boxes and other items looked like when they brought them into the house (THE PICTURES WERE SERIOUSLY TAKEN AS THE ITEMS WERE CARRIED IN TO THE HOUSE). When we began to confront Sammy, he just shrugged and said we need to take it up with Giovanni. We almost had to force Sammy to call Giovanni and admit that there were a lot of damaged items. Giovanni said to make a list of the damaged/destroyed items, and call him when the movers left, which we did, but of course he didn't answer our call. After three days of attempted calls and emails, he finally called and offered us $200 for the damaged items! What an insult! By our estimate, he's off by a little over $3,000! We've since demanded neutral arbitration from the company, which by law they are required to provide. We have also filed a complaint with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), on the grounds that they were not authorized to be doing business due to the lack of insurance. They still don't have insurance. You can go to ProtectYourMove.gov, click on "Search Movers and Complaint History", and search by their U.S. DOT # (188****) and see their complaint history, and how often in the past they've had their licensed revoked for lack of insurance. This move has been nothing short of a nightmare. Hopefully they will be fined heavily, or even prohibited from operating ever again, and we'll get some money for our damaged and destroyed items. Please, don't try to save a dollar when it comes to something as precious as your household/personal items - hire an established company with a good known reputation. DO NOT USE ALL USA VAN LINES!
