They did fix my return line for $7300, but cut through my main drain line. When I complained Craig said it was an obstruction and could have charged me more. You can see the cut line is no obstruction the return line, at the bottom of the pit. There was never a discussion about the possibility of an additional charge. They are an unethical business looking for ways to shake more money out of you. They would not test the fix to the main drain line unless I paid for it! What i have to pay for their screw ups. Not recommended and will not use again.

Waste of time and loss of $312.70
Had a so called survey technician George come to our house to look at our pool for a new liner and other work needed. Why George felt the need to cut a 4x4 inch piece of the liner quicker than we could say NO is mind boggling and he said “it’s only the shallow end” - what? It’s *** that wasn’t there before and we had to write a check made payable to him for $312.70. My husband was not happy and said guess we really need a new liner now. When I mentioned that to Craig he didn’t really have an answer and blew it off rattling off all they will do. We had 3 other estimates - all free - all took much more time and with liner books and no one cut our liner. No one talked over us or badmouthed other companies. We made a better decision with a wonderful company in business for over 50 years - the work was perfection with a 27 ml liner we selected unlike the 20 ml picked out for us with this company. Workers professional, on time and worked hard. All of our water saved and pumped back in. Pool looks like a brand new pool and beautiful. Lesson learned. A1 Pools snd Spad didn’t get the job but George has called at least 4 times without leaving messages. Craig left a lengthy message. Tried to return the call but no answer. Buyer beware. There are many options out there and you don’t need to pay $300 plus tax for a shoddy surveyor.

SCAM!!!!
Craig charged me a $300.00 fee to come out to look at my pool, saying that he is the only qualified person in the area to fix concrete pools. He sent some guy who sat near my pool for over an hour with a pencil and paper "drawing" the pool. When I got his actual estimate it was ASTRONOMICAL!!!! He gave me a price that was MORE THAN DOUBLE the other estimates I ended up getting. It's a scam!!!! Charge $300.00 to provide an estimate, have your estimate be RIDICULOUS, and he still walks away with $300.00 for an hours worth of work. Seriously folks, don't use this guy.

Very poor customer service. This company does not warrant their workmanship
This company replaced a vynle liner in my inground pool 09/07/2018 pool was closed and never used after the repair because it was end of season. 06/04/2019 when my pool was opened I discovered that the liner had separated in several places, and cintinues to separate!!!! I contacted Craig the owner and he offered to fix the problem for an additional cost, he refused to warrant his workmanship, the separation is probably caused by the liner not being properly installed. I'd rather pay someine else to fix the problem that to do anymore business with this company!! Every company I've called to have the problem fixed has quoted me less than half of the additional fee if $395.00 Craig wanted to charge and they all said that shame in him!! All other companies warrant there workmanship for a minimum of 2 years!! If you need any pool repairs shop around, this company is a scam!!! I've submitted a claim with the better business bureau and I've informed my insurance company that paid for this job to inform them of the poor customer service I've received so that they no longer honor any claims submitted by A-1 pools!!!

Craig was rude over the phone
I was contacted by Craig from A1 pool and spa and just got off the phone with him. Craig tried to sell me the pool over the phone with out even coming to my house to do a survey. When i asked him about it, he said that they do not do that and would have to charge to do so. this is the first pool company I have dealt with that said they would charge you to come out and do a survey. Craig also said that I did not need a permit for the pool and to "play dumb" with building the pool and not know that i needed one. He would not let me get a word in over the phone, kept talking over me while I attempted to ask questions and then hung up on me when he realized that I am not new to the process. I have been researching it for the last two years. I would not deal with this company. Craig, you need to go back and learn customer service skills. You talked about a salesamn coming to my house to do a survey from other pool companies. You are the definition of a pushy salesman.

I got scammed by Craig Forchetti from A-1 Pools & Spas Inc.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! Came for 15 minutes, broke the front wall of the jacuzzi while taking it apart, charged for the inspection 418$ saying it will be deducted from the fixing cost, just to come back asking for 1,800$ for a minor problem to fix. I tried calling a few numbers on their list of 11 "branches" after that absurdly priced visit, to ask how much is an inspection since I knew they scammed us for the visit price. Well, as it turned out, all numbers lead to only one guy called Craig Forchetti. And interesting enough, he was the only person, out of all the service guys I called before, that refused to give me a direct quote for a visit service and instead asked me a bunch of questions, like the true scammer that he is. Other service guys, as it turned out, charge 70$ for a visit. After posting my feedback online mister Forchetti had the nerve to call my husband screaming and yelling and threatening to take legal action. Legal action for what exactly? Mister Craig Forchetti, here's a thought- if you want to avoid negative reviews perhaps don't scam your customers...? STAY AWAY!!!

Very Happy with Craig Forchetti A1-Pools & Spas !!
I had Craig Forchetti of A1-Pools & Spas Renovate my Concrete Pool and I could not be more please with the level of workmanship they performed on my Pool. It looks better than it ever has thanks to a1-pools & Spas. They started on time as promised and the cost did not change. I have reffered them to 3 co-workers as well and they werte all satisfied with Craig Forchetti A1-Pools & Spas as well. I would refer them to all looking for competence . I am Planning a new Pool in my next home and will certainly use A1-Pools & Spas to build it. I am a Builder myself and appreciate workmanship and schedules that dont get put off. A1 Pools is no nonsense and I was suprised to see the workers as old as 55 years old . Thats what I call experiance Hope this is helpful ..percey . g

A1 Pools Craig Forchetti Owner Fantastic Company !!
I had damage to my Plaster Pool last year 2015. A1 Pools and Spas was the name I got from the assoc. of pool & spa professionals so I called them. They put a commercioal coating over my plaster and repaired all cracks and replaced all tile. What a nice company to deal with. Highly Recommend A1 Pools & Spas out of Yardley Pa . I did have another company try to sell me on Plaster and Brick Bull nose capping but A1 Pools indicated to mre that they use a Commercial Product that seals the old plaster. I no longer get Algea or stains. My childs feet dont bleed from the old plaster. The coating that a1 pools did is smooth and easy on the feet. I think its called EHB ?? Good Job by A1 Pools Frank K

A1 Pools response to invalid complaint
I am responding to this complaint. I am Craig Forchetti of A1 Pools and Spas . The Charge to the Home owner was for the Inspection/Pressure testing only and services were rendered. Ms. Taylor signed that she was satisfied with our findings.The Pressure Gauge did in fact indicate a leak and Ms.Taylor told us she was loosing water out of her Pool. Ms.Taylor witnessed the gauge pressure drop at the time of the pressure test. We informed Ms. Taylor that the next plan of action was to Hook up a Air compressor with water pressure and Amplified headphones to search the location of the leak and attempt to repair the area discovered. We told Ms. Taylor that in the event the leak was under concrete deck below the Skimmer the cost would be aprox. $3250.00 but untill further test could be made we could not determine area to repair. Ms. Taylor indicated that another company unclogged the one skimmer line and it is circulating now. That does not excuse the reason why the Pressure test failed. In the event the the leak is not at the skimmer in question and was clogged , it is possible that the valve that connects all three lines is breached and pressure escaped into the main drain or the other broken skimmer which has also failed. Regardless , A1 Pools performed a service and Mr. Taylor jumped the gun and hired another Company with out contacting us and or allowing us to continue our investigation as to the reason why she was loosing pressure and why her Pool was leaking water as she indicated to us.

Feel totally riped off
called a1 pools and spa to find out if my skimmer was cloged craig asssured me they could give me an answer it would cost me 695.00 for both skimmers and the cost would be applied to work done to correct the problem and he said they would do everything to unclog the skimmer at that time if that was the problem well they came out did a pressure test on the skimmer and said no pressure you have a crack in the line so we have to go to second fase he took pictures when i called craig to find out what the next step was he said we have to dig around the pool and it will be 3800.00and that did not include the 700 i already paid and when the service guy came out i had to make the check out to vance forchetti who is vance forchetti i called a1 pools and spa i guess that was my first clue they are a rip off i have called several times and never get a return call ihave called a few different numbers when i do get an answer its the same person and i get the run around we will call you back never happens and who is answering the phones craig sounds like the first person i talked to or is it vance forchetti or is it ed who knows these people are one in the same im not one to bash anybody but they got me someone please help i really want my money back and oh yeah i ahd a second opinon my lines are not cracked and my skimmer is working thamks to an honest company that blew out the lines

Craig Forchetti A1 Pools and Spas were great Company !
I have damage from the Storm which cause a large tree to fall in my Vynil Liner Pool. I called Craig Forchetti of A1 Pools and Spas in Yardley Pa and His People came out Immediatly and removed the tree with Chainsaws and completly handled my Insuance company Claim. Craig Forchetti got me a great settlement and made all repairs to my Pool. "Craig Forchetti of A1 Pools and Spas are the Best !!!! I would highly recommend A1-Pools and Spas to any home owner that needs a Pool repair or renovation . I am glad I was able to end up with such a competent company. Chuck M.

I needed a Major Renovation and called the Asspociation of Pool and Spa Professionals APSP and they told me that Craig Forchetti was one of the Longest styanding Members with both Commercial & Residential Certifications. I hired Craig to Renovate, What a Professional. If you want a good guy Call Craig at 215 598-****. I plan on buying a Home in Avalon new jersey and will certainly hire craig to build my Pool Prodject. I need a landscaper now so if anyone reading knows a good lanscaper in Wstchester pa please Post it up. Thank you for allowing me to review . Dr. Howard Topayer.
