Does not stand behind product

My bathroom floor looked great for 2 years, then started shifting and now the planks are falling apart. I paid good money for a nice floor and they will not do anything to help me. I will NEVER use this company again and no one else should either. The person on the phone told me to go get filler, that would look like ***

Not happy

This company is a joke, I am a realtor and sent one of my elderly clients to them. After I set up the appointment for a estimator to come out, they went behind me and called her and pushed her into getting financing set up for her carpet. She told them she did not need financing but they insisted she get it set up the night before the estimator came out so she was all set. My client said all set for what, I dont need financing. My client then said the gal on the phone from 651 asked how much money she had. This is absolutely ridiculous. My client hung up with this lady from 651 and immediately called me all shook up and scared. My client is 75 years old and lives by herself. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND 651 CARPETS AGAIN. What a horrible person they have working for them. The fact that they even have a policy to call people before the estimator even steps foot on the property, to try and convince folks to sign up for their financing, tells me they have zero regard for people and just out to make another dollar. Nice business model

Radio Commercial

He says it is their annual sale but it has been running for at least eight months, his voice is nauseating and it is on every commercial. break. I will never buy or consider anything from this company because of that radio commercial.

To alert people this company doesn’t stand behind their product

I wish zero stars was an option.....We had our carpet installed in July of 2019. Everything was okay until about a year later, the carpet in a high traffic area was coming apart and lifting up from the transition area from hardwood to carpet. They came out to fix it in September of 2020 and blamed the problem on water damage, this area doesnt get wet so how they came up with water damage is beyond me. Two months later the same problem happened, and again I contacted 651 carpets and reported the problem. They said they couldnt do anything because of the supposed water damage and that we would have to pay to fix it. After multiple emails and asking for someone to come out and explain to me the water damage, they sent someone out. The repair guy told me they installed it wrong and fixed it wrong (they had two chances) they needed to put down more tack strips as this was a high traffic area. They said the carpet could be replaced but Id have to pay more than a thousand dollars in labor. I cannot recommend this company and wouldnt have anything installed by them. They use cheap labor and dont stand by their quality installation guarantee. Very disappointed we had them install our carpet.

Unfinshed product

I used 651 in my old home around 3 years ago, they did a great job, I didn't hesitate to try again.4.23.2020 the Salesman Robert came out and we ordered LVP in 70% of our home and quartz countertops. The check over 15K was cashed 4.27.2020. After not hearing back from 651 for weeks, we were put in contact w/ the manger JR, Robert no longer worked for 651. Many weeks later, due to whatever reasons, on 6.15.2020 we were told they would be over tomorrow 6.16.2020. The installers arrived 6.17 and carpet arrived 6.18. The installer said on 6.19.2020 that someone messed up, and they didn't order any transitions. We ordered w/ Robert custom gray transitions to match, we also ordered the highest quality LVP, we didn't want the cheap metal transitions After about 15 calls and messages to 651, they finally sent someone out late July to measure the areas that we needed to make the floor level room to room. That is the last time we seen any 651 employee, we now have 1 inch gaps in nearly all connecting rooms with uneven floors throughout the home. The manager JR has promised at least 4 times that someone will be in contact but here we are 9.3.2020 and my family is injuring themselves walking around in our home. The quartz was a much better experience, but I'll soon be filing for small claims court if we don't hear from them soon almost 5 months later!

Their paid in full brought out wrong carpet over a month later wont return phone calls cant get it in stock from georgia mills keep passing the buck but if they dont resolve matter within two weeks

Bought it on March 9th came back that night for paid in full check over a month later 9 non speaking english installers brought the wrong carpet. Contacted them everyday finally Amanda said i would get a full refund nothing yet wont call back or awnser phone

Terrible ecperience

Paid them in full on 3'9-2020 Thu cashed check said it take 2 weeks didnt come out to install till 4-13-2020 witj the wrong carpet the customet servivr os the wprst saod there was no resolution but to get stuck woth it and mo refund.. I would never work with this company again or advise anybody else to.

The WORST service ive ever received

My carpet appt. wasnt until 6 weeks later some non speaking english installers brought the wrong carpet i tried contacting someone for several days Amanada called me worst customer service ever she told me there was no resolution that i had to take what they ordered and no refund I highly recommend no one ever deals with this company again.

Can’t install carpet on day planned, and are now closing the office due to the virus, and refuse to refund my money

I had a 15 minute consultation on 3/6/2020 with Chad for installation of carpet in an empty basement bedroom. I gave them a check and was told they would not cash it until the installation date. They cashed it immediately. The installation was scheduled 3 weeks out, on 3/27/2020, it is written right on the WORK ORDER. I received a call from the salesman Chad one week prior to the installation date confirming everything was a go. I called the night before the installation on 3/26/2020 to make sure everything was set up, and was told I was not on the schedule, and that they could not install my carpet, and were shutting down after that day due to the Coronavirus. I was told someone would call me back that night. No one did. I called first thing in the morning on the day of installation to ask if they had squeezed in my install. (A small empty bedroom with no furniture in it, and no carpet removal needed) I was told that they were not able to do the install, or reschedule due to the Coronavirus and were closing at the end of the day. I was then transferred to Amanda, put on hold for 30 minutes, then transferred to voicemail. I called back and asked for a refund. Amanda said that a refund would be issued within 3 business days, then after looking up my account I was told that my account was locked and they would not be issuing a refund. I had decided to get carpet at Home Depot delivered and have my SO install it. I again stated that I needed a refund because they broke their end of the contract. I am a triage nurse and need to finish this home office to help patients during this Coronavirus epidemic. I informed Amanda that I cannot wait until the Coronavirus is over, and was told by Amanda that they were not refunding my money, and were closing that day and she hung up on me. On the contract is says ALL ORDERS ARE SUBJECT TO 150.00 ADMINISTRATION CHARGE IF CHANGED. So they not only owe me 672.00 they fraudulently swindled from me, but owe me another 150.00 for that plus the wages lost for taking off the day from work. I will be taking this to small claims court. Its all about the principal. I did give them a chance to rearrange a couple hours on their schedule the night before to accommodate, they chose not to even try to make this right. Big mistake!

Never Again

I used this company in the fall and had a hard time getting someone come out and when he did he said I had to know now because he wasn't coming back! I did go with them and now in November I wanted to install the same carpet so, here I go again! First, the salesmen told me it would be a much better situation this time. The day before it was to be installed they called to inform me they had ordered the wrong carpet and they would call me in the am to get everything straight. They didn't call so, I had to call them everyday for 7 days. I asked for a discount which I did get but not as much as I would have liked! The men installing the carpet both times have been great but, overall I would never recommend this company to anyone!!

Do not, under any circumstances have anything to do with 651 carpets.

Bad install and when things went bad, They ignored my calls and emails for months. When a representative finally came out 4 and a half months later, he said the install was botched. The day they were supposed to come out and fix it, they left a message that it was water damaged and nothing could be done. To this day, they have not and will not respond. STAY AWAY! By the way, this is the first time I have reviewed anything.

Believe the Bad Reviews!

This companies lies, takes your money up front because they can't deliver on their promises. We order was tried to make a small change but told we cant carpet already cut. When it came to install date we were told the carpet was on back order??? 28 days later from original order they still have no idea when we could get our carpet. Tried to talk to the highest level mgr to resolve and they wont get on the phone, they just have customer service tell it is what it is and they wont refund money you just have to wait until they get the product in stock some day.

Are carpets supposed to squeak. Our carpets squeak in several spots been dealing with them since june. They dont return phone calls. Its embarrassing if we have company they think its funny that our rugs squeak. But we tell them the stories and who we got it from. I know for a fact that they lost at least two sales. It scares our dogs they think they *** when they get up.

Nightmare, Terrible Experience

I sent the following email to them for a response over a week ago, no surprise after the experience I had. 'I recently would like to state my overall dissatisfaction in working with 651 carpets over the last few months. I was let down with the professionalism with respect to scheduling and organization issues that led me to spending a lot of extra time and effort to work with you for my carpet install. I will do my best to outline my experience chronologically. December 2018 -I scheduled an online appointment and had a representative at my home 1/2/2019. I was looking to get my stairs carpeted. -Representative showed up, told my wife he didn't have sample of the carper she wanted be he had samples in the binder and she identified 'Snow Fall' from that supplier. He took measurements, gave her a quote, told her she just needed to call and schedule. Sounded great. -I called to book later that week and was told that the sales guy had not gotten the info in yet and it sometimes takes some time and they would check back in with me later that day/tomorrow. -No response from 651 Carpet. -Called and was told the sales guy may be on vacation and they were working to get info from him. Said they would return my call later that day when they knew more. -No response from 651 Carpet. -Called again after waiting more than a day and asked the same question, nobody knew my info nor when the quote would come in. Was then told that if we did not pay/put down $ that they may not have made a formal quote and that is why it doesn't exist and they can;t find info on the carpet type we wanted, specs of carpets, etc. At this point I had no clue how the quote or info was lost in translation, and figured at minimum they would follow up with the sales rep who came out to at least get the info they could out of him. I was told I could move forward by scheduling another in-house appointment. I then expressed my displeasure that we had to do that again and with there scheduling time slots, my wife and I's alternating work scheduled and 2 young kids that scheduling for us is not easy and we have to do a lot of work to just accommodate anything like this so I really didn't want to have to waste time on this but we scheduled another time. Asked to speak to someone higher up about it. -Given Aaron's name, call him, he apologized for all of it and says he'll personally be out on site to take care of it. -Sales guy (Aaron I believe) is assigned to come out and clean up the mess. I schedule a time and end up meeting him at my at his convenience due to weather. Losing a 1/2 day of work. At this point, its the least of my issues cause he is responsive and professional about everything which is a change from prior interaction with 651 Carpets. He measures, takes the quote price for what we were told and has no visibility on 'snow fall' but we forward him the picture from the original visit and he figures it out. We pay 50% on quote. Aaron was great overall. -We call and book install for the following Monday. -We then have a death in the family and after I receive a confirmation call Sunday about the arrival Monday, I call back 30 min later and ask to push out one more week due to us being out of town. I apologized, they said no worries and that we were on for the following Monday. -Monday AM I get a call around 8am that they are on the way to my house to install. I tell them there is a mistake on there end and I rescheduled for the next week. -Next Sunday rolls around and I don't get a call about install window, I assume they will be there around 8:30-9am next day. -Monday AM and nobody shows up, I'm at work, wife has gotten kids to a sitter for this and they aren't there. -I call to follow up and i am told that I was put down as a 'sales call' not a 'install call' buy the scheduler. He acknowledges that he noticed it went from install to sales, was confused but didn't do anything about it. At this point I am not surprised at how terrible the scheduling, logistics and professionalism is and just reschedule for the next available Saturday morning. -2/16/2019, Saturday comes, they call on there way ,show up and do a great job. Even though they have no measurements or dimensions and I have to go measure and tape the stairs in the areas I could like carpet to the dimensions I had given 651 Carpets, two separate times. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my experience. The time it took to actually get carpet on my stairs was increased dramatically. The amount of time my family took to work around a lot of issues cause by 651 Carpets was very frustrating. I tried to imagine how all of this could happen repeatedly when we live in a world that is driven by technology advancements in logistics, organizational tools, etc. It could only be two things: 1) the people working at 651 carpet in the areas that I interacted with are incompetent and aren't very good at there jobs. Or, 2) The system is set up for them to fail and there needs to be changes to help fix these issues so they can be avoided. I feel bad for the people working within a system that could operate this poorly if that is the case.'

AWFUL!!!!!!

I see others have the same problem we are having- the job has not been completed, missing 7 transition strips, the installers took so many short cuts it looks like a DIY went wrong, due to the poor installation the product looks terrible
