The Company did not deliver as promised and stuck me with a huge bill.

I filed a claim on their website. They assigned a service company. I never heard from the company after three days of trying to reach them. My air conditioner fan went out in 95 degree weather. I explained to the company that I was a cancer patient and needed my AC repaired as sooon as possible. After not hearing from the company, I hired a company to repair the problem. My unit had to be replaced because of the age of the unit, it would have been like putting a band-aid on the problem. I received a call from another service tech the day after I had my AC replaced. They wanted to come out and I repeated to them several times that the work had been done. I filed a request for reimbursement for the replacement of the AC. I was told that the company would refund my expense if I submitted the work order, which I did. I waited about two weeks and did not hear back from the company. I called them and I was told that they needed proof that I had paid the bill before they could reimbursement me. I explained to them that the cost was slilghtly over $11,000 and the work had to be financed. I had to speak with three different persons to get a resolution. I was asked to submit a copy of my finance statement and they would reimburse me once received. I sent the statement the same day. A few days later, I followed up to inquire as to when I could expect my reimbursement. To my surprise, I was told that the work I had done was not pre-approved and they would not reimburse me for the amount of the job. They told me that I could only be reimbursed for a max of $300. A few days later, I received a check for $210. I will never use 2-10 Home Warranty again and would not recommend them to anyone.

I have been with 2-10 for a long time and up until recently, I have had no issues. In January, I did a request for service because my dryer door does not close. Someone came out and he told me he ordered the part and will return. In March I had to contact him. Eventually, nothing came of it, and I had to contact 2 10 again to request another organization. This one was worse. We texted back and forth but he never made an actual appearance, due to his rescheduling. At one point, I texted him the information for the dryer, but nothing came of that. A few weeks ago, I called 2 10 to request another company and it was assigned back to the company that never came out period. Up until then, the representatives at 2-10 seemed concerned about what was going on, until one lady got on the phone and basically blamed me because when they put me on hold to contact both companies said they were unable to reach me. I explained to her that my reception at my job was bad, and no phones were allowed on the floor. Instead of any form of understanding, she went on to explain to me on what I could do better to ensure I receive calls. I informed her that I had several texts from both companies, and I would be glad to forward them to her. Of course, she did not want them, and I was transferred to cancellation services. Frustrated and having to go to work I informed the young lady on the other end I had to go. I felt calmer a week later and decided to call 2-10 again and was assured it will be handled. The next day I received a voice message from some lady dictating to me that I would be home on 13 June from 8 to 5 for Sears. The number for Sears that was given does not allow for message or reschedule. I called 2 10 back and was told unfortunately, that is the way Sears work. I reminded the representative from 2-10 that in order for me to pay the 108.00 monthly fee, I had to work, and I can't give my boss a few days' notice. I reminded her that on top of my monthly payments, I paid the first young man a 75.00 service fee. I was told they would see what they could do. Also, I asked them to cancel Sears because I just can't afford to miss a nine-hour workday. The next day Sears contacted me for pictures of the dryer door to include serial number and a picture of what was broken. No cancellation was ever done. After so much frustration with no help and the constant purchase of duct tape I googled, found the piece and ordered it from Amazon for 4.00. If you decide to go with them, please make sure whoever they dispatch it to is not a one-man company. I can provide more info for anyone who is interested.

I'd give no stars if possible

look elsewhere. These crooks won't help you.We requested service for air conditioning problem and a leaking copper pipe. It is impossible to get thru to a live representative. They put you on hold for HOURS !! Two months to get a contractor here to fix our AC Worst customer service ever.

Dissatisfied

Company who received the work order undoubtedly no longer in business. Without air, in Florida, for a week. Called 2-10 said they would send work order to different company. Had to call again because the person I talked to forgot to hit the send button to get work order going. Water damage due to their slow response and of course the water damage caused from a/c not covered.

A Bad Situation Turned into a Great Situation

While I initially had trouble getting a contractor and contacting someone at 2-10, once I submitted the issue online with Pissed Consumer, it immediately changed for the better. I was extremely frustrated with the non communication, but in the end, I am very satisfied with the contractor they sent. I would suggest they give more options on their website to email customer service, or explain in detail what the situation involves. I had one contractor who never called back and the second contractor was out of business. It would have been less frustrating to get that information to 2-10 quickly.

HVAC not repaired after 7 visits and the still want me to pay.

Do not use these people My HVAC unit has been getting repaired in since 4/28/21 and is still in need of repair. Now my ceiling has a leak and they want me to file on my homeowner insurance. We depend on this company to send people to repair our home and not scam us. 7 visit 7 fees plus pay the contractor their fees and still no AC or heat. 3 repairs on a leaking toilet and still not repaired.

FINALLY 2-10 called me at 4:45. I called them Right back ZERO!!!!! If they do not call tomorrow. Im calling my lawyer the BBB all social media!! 2-10 Warranty company is the WORST in every way!!!

Absolutly terrible customer service

I have had 2 claims with 2-10. My experience with both was very unsatisfactory. The first claim resulted in an email stating that company "x" would contact me to make an appointment. After waiting several days with no contact, i called the company who informed me they no longer did work for 2-10. I called 2-10 and about a day later received another email saying I should expect a call from company x (the same company). After waiting a day, I called company x and they again told me they no longer do work for 2-10. I called 2-10 again and related my experience, and after receiving no reasonable explanation asked to talk to a supervisor. The supervisor told me my claim was NOT covered after 4-5 days believing it was covered and waiting for a contractor who never showed. My second claim was for a malfunctioning garbage disposal. The only claim coverage information I had ever received from 2-10 stated that a garbage disposal was covered under the "standard" coverage. When i last renewed my policy, I had downgraded my coverage from "supreme" to "standard". When I called in my claim, I was told a garbage disposal was NOT covered under the standard coverage. 2-10 had never sent me any coverage information at the time I renwed or thereafter until AFTER they denied my claim. They then sent me an email message showing the coverage details for the standard policy.

Claim denial

I purchased a "supreme" policy from 2-10 in 2019. At that time I received the ONLY contract coverage pamphlet I have ever received from 2-10. It describes what is covered under the standard and supreme policies. In 2021, when I renewed my policy, I downgraded my coverage from supreme to standard. The paphlet, I relied on specifically states that a garbage disposal is COVERED in the standard policy. When I tried to initiate a claim today for a malfunctioning garbage disposal, I was told it is NOT COVERED.

(New Construction) Bldr 10 yr Warranty requiring hundreds of dollars to file a claim

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty [HBW] Excessive charge to owner of 10 yr Builders warranty to File a Claim Sep 20, 2021 Verified customer re: Warranty # FL422-896 New construction house purchased Dec. '10 from Rockland Homes Builder (HBW Member #8804-****) in Palm Bay, FL. The builder ignored reports. * Two Requests for Help made: 3/06/20 - was told "we don't cover bulging wall in MB (poor workmanship)", or uneven installation of interior doors scraping bottom thresholds; floor molding corners separating in corners and from the floor. It was extremely difficult to navigate contact with a representative of 2-10 online, and by phone. NO HELP * 9/16/21 - was told by Staci, " you need to pay us $250 when submitting a claim" for CRACKS IN MB wall, and EXTENSIVE TILE CRACKING in MB bathroom. After homeowner paying the filing fee, at some time afterwards, a contractor will be contacted. At some time, the contractor will contact the homeowner for an app't to evaluate the reported damage, write up a report to submit to 2-10. Four to six weeks afterwards, 2-10 will determine IF the damage is covered for repair! (800) 488-**** I only received a Builder/Seller Application for Enrollment at closing &;;;;;;;;;;; told that I have a 10 yr warranty on the house. I never received a New Home Warranty book after second request from seller and title insurance company. Staci emailed more detailed information regarding builder warranty coverage . I SHOULD NOT NEED TO PAY $250 TO FILE A CLAIM!

Non response from AC Vendor

I am a Realtor and refer clients to 2-10. Just bought house and bought 2-10 Home Warranty. Live in Florida, it was 98 past few days and AC out. Been calling AC company since Friday 7pm &;;;;;;;; no response. Guess I am done referring 2-10. Can't recommend 2-10.

Air conditioning

2-10 is a horrible company! I paid 660 per year & now I have an AC unit which they are telling me now I have to pay $450 to fix in addition to a $85 vendor co-pay. So why the *** do I have a warranty when I have to pay an additional $450?? Total scam in my opinion!

Class A Clowns

2-10 is a joke and not a good joke. where to begin... I called for them to work on my central heating that seemingly went out in the worst possible time. Day 1 (Friday) (4 calls and a little over 2 hours) 1. My account had all the wrong information... took 2 days for IT to get it right, 2. Gave me a number to a Heating and Cooling company that no longer exists... I guess that can happen to anyone. I call back and get assigned a 2nd company 2. 2nd Heating and Cooling company would not be able to come out to my house for 3 days... called 3 times before I could talk to someone at the H/C company Day 2 (3 calls 6 + 67) 1. Account is finally "working"... but 2nd Company has been changed to a 3rd company... Call the third Company... weird conversation with 2nd company rep leads me to find that my address is also wrong in the system (taking the blame for this by now I should understand I am not dealing with very fine people) 2. wait 30 minutes to be told "I don't have the authority to change your address"... " let me transfer you to XYZ"... Nicest guy comes on and he "fixes it" (7 minutes) now ... I get transferred back.... Elevator music plus the abrupt interjection every min. I get transferred back, and the wait is glorious nice lady comes up, I give her the run down appreciates my frustration and gets me another work order. Life is beautiful,l right? Wrong 4th Company doesn'tt come out where I live. 3. this is 3rd call (expected wait time 22 minsdelicious) there is contact at time 24 mins (not bad). Oh, going back on hold (she has to talk to a claim manager) more music. 4. issue resolved 10 days later and m80 dollars paid directly to the technician because I didn't want to wait another week

My air conditioner

i have been without an airconditioner for 1 month..called 2-10..finally got a heating place to come down...my air conditioner is 25 yrs old..they say we need a coil and refrigeration..here we are 1 month later still in the arizona heat of 100 degrees in the house without..we get the excuses after being on the line for 1 hr each time its backed ordered..a part that old is probably hard to get..and dont give me that covid shit...i am sick of it..i need an airconditioner now...we are in our 70's and have 2 small dogs.....your people are rude they said to my husband if you feel sick to call911 ad hung up on him...that is great business tatics....we are considering a lawyer at this point..never will get 2-10 warraty again..please do something for us...we spent over 1000.00 for a yr warranty

FORMAL COMPLAINT

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ON SERVICES NOT RENDERED NOR ADDRESSED ON PROPERTY ADDRESS: COVINGTON, GA 30016. THERE HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH SERVICE REQUESTED BACK IN JAN 2021 FOR ELECTRICAL AND CIRCUIT ISSUES. A CONTRACTOR WAS SENT OUT TO ASSESS ISSUE. THE CONTRACTOR TOLD ME THAT THE WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE TO CORRECT THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY 2-10 HOMEBUYERS WARRANTY. HE CHARGED US FOR THE VISIT BY HAVING ME CASH APP HIS WIFE WHICH WE DID. NO ONE EVER CALLED US BACK FROM 2-10. I CALLED BACK TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF THE WORK ORDER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE WORK ORDER WAS COMPLETED. I EXPLAINED THAT THE CONTRACTOR DID NOT PROVIDE ANY SERVICE AND WHAT HE HAD STATED ABOUT 2-10 NOT COVERING THAT TYPE OF SERVICE. THE REP AT 2-10 SAID THAT THE CONTRACTOR SENT NEVER TURNED ANY DETAILED INVOICE OTHER THAN "WORK COMPLETED". I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD SEND THE SAME CONTRACTOR BACK TO MY HOME TO RE ASSESS AND REQUEST HIM TO SUBMIT A DETAILED WORK ORDER TO 2-10. WHEN THE CONTRACTOR RETURNED TO MY HOME HE WAS ANNOYED AND TOLD ME ONCE AGAIN THAT 2-10 WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR AND THAT HE HAD ALREADY SUBMITTED THE DETAILED WORK ORDER BUT THAT HE WOULD SUBMIT ONE ONCE AGAIN. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AFTER THAT VISIT. I CONTACTED 2-10 ONCE AGAIN FOR AN UPDATE AND WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK WITHIN 24 - 48 HOURS. IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 WEEKS NOW. I CONTACTED 2-10 FOR A 4TH TIME TODAY AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT THE CLAIMS DEPT AT 1-80*-482-****. AT THIS TIME I AM REQUESTING THE MONEY BACK THAT I PAYED THE CONTRACTOR FOR SERVICES THAT WERE NEVER RENDERED AND I WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL THE RENEWAL OF CONTRACT SERVICES. I WISH TO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH 2-10 AS YOU HAVE PROVEN TO BE UNREALIABLE, MISLEADING, IRRESPONSIBLE AND AN INCAPABLE OF PROVIDING SERVICES FOR WHICH I AM BILLED FOR MONTHLY. THANK YOU
